You go, Sue Ellen! :goodvibes Happy Anniversary! 18 years???!!! Wow, good for you guys! Enjoy your night out.

Annie, I would probably wear sweats or a warm up suit type thing to the pool. But I do think robes are acceptable if they offer them in the room.

Funny story...on our Mexican Riviera Disney cruise we had Disney Legend, Richard Sherman on board. One day I was by the pool and out comes this little old guy shuffling along in a robe and slippers, on his way to the hot tub. Then I relized who he was. He was just so cute. :rotfl:

question - what does one wear in a fancy resort to go from your room to the indoor pool / hot tub?! they provide robes at this resort so i was wondering if that's kosher to wander thru the halls & lobby etc. if i'm in my robe over my bathing suit?! (i don't get out much!!) i wasn't sure what to wear so i stuck in a set of sorta sweats but not exactly sweats - it's a little matching set of something...it's cute. but i mean in the summer you have little cover up thingys to wear to the pool but it's darned cold out there now & i stuck one of those in too but i don't know!

You should be fine in the robe covering your swimsuit, or in your outfit. The robe would not be out of place.
Enjoy your weekend.

DINGDINGDING!
Cheri wins!!!

You get a dog!! I will send her FedEx tomorrow~

only if you want Katie to get drums for Christmas

it's all overcast (after 3 days of 75+ degree sunshine) and cold - well for SD. Pulling out the homemade mac and cheese recipe. Yum! All gooey and hot! (and low fat, but of course)

Have you ever seen Martha Stewarts mother's mac & Cheese?? I made it once and Rick complained that I used every pot in the house...you have to make a roux first, but MAN...it is goooood!!

We had a high of 72 today...lows out here in the western community is suppose to be in the low 50's tonight...with 20% humidity...very cold!!!

Tzm and Ophie would have been in heaven today...but I am sure they would have been in shorts...I wore jeans and long sleeves!!!

I don't need no stinkin' roux! And me no likey Martha (the beeg show off). Me thinks I am the anti-Martha.*

* We moved into our houses 9 years ago and I started to decorate. I burned out after about 4 or 5 months. Haven't gotten back to it yet. Flower arrangements are: bring flowers home from grocery store, cut away cellophane, plop into vase, try to remember to add water.

oh, I get it! Rick was complaining because HE washes the dishes, right?

Yep!!
I cook..he cleans!

I don't really care for Martha..but her mother's mac is AWE-SOME!

I like Barefoot Contessa ( made her lemon shrimp pasta tonight) but she is just as snooty as Martha!:rolleyes1

Gee, we aren't getting out of the 40s until maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Monday may not even hit 40. I think I'll take 70s. ;)

And can we keep some warm temps in FL for about 3 weeks from now? Last Dec my hand almost froze carrying my Margarita around Epcot. Of course when I called home and DH told me it was in the teens here, and I hit him with that remark, he wasn't thrilled. :rotfl:

Hey everyone! Hope all y'all are having a good time wherever you may be today!

Organizing my pictures - finally posting from Halloween.:thumbsup2

Great pics, Johnna!

I just got in from a hockey game. We had a city night at the Lowell Devils (NJ's AHL team) for all the schools in our city. It was fun, but OMG, those kids get so hyper when they are with other kids. Not only did we take our 2, but another one of Cam's friends. They were off the wall. Thank God they sell beer! :goodvibes

I actually baked today! Homemade rolls (the kind with yeast, let it rise, punch it down, the whole tamale!) The tops came out too crunchy and I took them out of the oven 2 minutes early. But, the kids loved them. Not bad for a first try I'm thinking. But, geez, what a lot of work!

We also cleaned out half of Cassie's room. One big bag of trash (stuff too old to give away) and one bag of give away. Now to get into the Barbies, Polly Pockets and dress up bin. Holy cow!

:woohoo: Go Cheri!!

Throw out all Polly Pockets! There was a recall on certain ones and since you can't possibly go through them all and weed out the bad ones...I say throw them all away.:lmao: Yup that didn't work on Ryan either.

I applaud you my friend. I hope to go through the daughters room sometime before she leaves for college!

Tis the season! Get rid of the old junk so new junk can come in.;)
Good job on the rolls too. I give you credit for trying.

I may just be getting rid of everyone today!:cool1: DH has a friend who moved to Texas a little over a year ago. While there they had a baby and they have come back here for the Christening. Plus another one of DH's friends DD's birthday party is today (good planning, guys!). So to get to both and travel time (both are in NH) will take pretty much the whole day and I am just too swamped with work to be gone for a whole day. Soooo, in about an hour, I will have peace and quiet! :woohoo: Of course its just so I can work and do laundry, but it's still quiet.

Oh and I have to share my bad news...the savannah view room at AKL that I was thinking of booking for pre cruise is no longer available. :( I'm thinking of possibly doing 2 nights in a pool view and 1 in savannah since that is currently available, but I don't know if I should chance it and hope savannah becomes available for all 3 nights again. Oh the pressure. ;)

Johnna, I love the pumpkins. I didn't take the time this year to carve any (even though I have a million of the Disney carving designs.) There was just too much going on around here.

We have officially canceled the 3 night cruise, so we won't be triple dipping, but for now we still have the 4 night booked. Still not sure what that will bring about.

Everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving? I'm going to cook this year (yes, even with a broken oven!) should be interesting. I'm getting the turkey already cooked, and I'll take care of the rest. Not quite the same when you don't have to cook the turkey, but it will be a great time saver.

Katie, sorry to hear the AKL room is gone now :( That stinks, but maybe something will open back up for you.

Sue Ellen

Oh Im sorry to hear this Sue Ellen! :( At least you will still be there for part of the fun. It will be great to see you guys again.

Good luck cooking too. That sounds tough with a broken oven. ;) I do most of my cooking on Tuesday, I make sauce, meatballs, and cranberry bread (not together, LOL!). Wednesday I finish up and cook the raviolis and put them together in the sauce. Then Thursday morning I pack it all up, bring to Mom & Dads, drop it off with the kids, and DH and I go meet friends at a bar. Did I mention I love Thanksgiving? :drinking1

All together...that would be interesting

SueEllen! Hi! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It's not looking good for us here.

CamColt - sorry to hear about the AKL room but I think something will open up for you.

Dad is flying in tonight. Husband is diligently doing yardwork so he can go play poker on his way to the airport. (Dads flight lands at 11 pm):lmao:

DD has a birthday party next door. I have to get to the bakery and pick up an oh so yummy crumb cake for the mornings at the ranch. We are leaving on Wednesday night. Think I might just swing by the nursery they are having a sale. I need to replant some shrubs the dog has trampled. I am hoping maybe I can get Dad to help me out. Annie would be proud of me.

Where is Annie anyways?

Katie - sorry to hear about your room. The one time we stayed at AK we had a "savannah view" room (or at least paid for one). Our view was out into a horseshoe little patch where we saw lot's of grass or was it hay, oh and a giraffe and one boar like animal I couldn't identify. I pictured ANIMALS outside my room... Maybe it's a blessing in disguise?

SueEllen - um, :sad1:

TRM - please to be stopping! Between you and Annie I'm just about ready to turn in my "domestic godess" card.
