I have a question for the Disney Dads. If it was just you and your DW, would you use Pal Mickey? My DW and I are going in Dec, just us no kids and I was thinking of getting him to use, but I want to know if he will be worth the price and hassle of carrying him. Of course my DGD asked her Mom, DD1, "What are they going to do without US?"

DW and I have two Pal Mickey's and we definitely use them each time we go to the parks. We bought the first one before we had our DD We get a new one every few years, as the costumes and the Jokes change. (Jokes are really bad) Still it's lots of fun to hear mickey Laugh, and tell us stuff about the parks. Just wish he had a Volume button.

Another fun thing to do every trip is to take their picture in the exact same spot, and then get one of those multiple opening frames and put them all together... we've taken pics of our kids from our first family trip to the world and on to the present at the Christmas character stratues at DTD (back near the Art of disney store and the Christmas shop) every single time. The boys started it before their sister was born, and every time since, they stand on or sit with the same character. It's fun to look back and see how they've grown. We always make sure they are the same orientation (horizontal for us, not vertical) and JUST THE KIDS. Last year a CM tried to encourage us to get in and he'd take it for us, and both DW and I said "Nope, thanks - this is a tradition...no adults allowed."

As a side note, I also have a frame like this in my office with all of my annual Father's Day shots. It's a must-do in my house to get a pic with my kids on FD.

Oh my God...you mean they grow up???? Nooooo....having too much fun now (of course I missed a few months there)....

Then again...can't wait to take him fishing...the little bugger already loves to crawl in my "Fishing Room" and knock down my rods (he thinks this is funny --Ok, I do too)...
But it's also the reason my guns stay securely locked away (necessary evil in my line of work)

wow, okay, im glad we are not the only one who does this.ready? we take our dd pic. standing next to the railing in the mk by the tables w/ the castle in the backround.(from stroller to the railing is at about at her hip) we also for some reason, take my pic. standing in front of the car. of prog. sign (which i have one ever since i was 10 and im now 43. sign has changed over the years but im getting better looking each year ) and i mentioned the mk car thing before. we also started in 1999 when we joined dvc, taking my dw and dd pic. at the welcome home sign at okw by the gaurd shack. its realy odd, we didnt plain on any of them it just happens from year to year. days before dig. cameras, we would say, hay, stand there and let me take your pic. like we did last time and it just kept going from there.i wish i had more of the pics when i was a kid but when my folks were alive, they had a flood in the basement (about 6 feet of water) and wiped out most of the old photos, but i still have a few.

I love my Pal Mickey... No one else in my family thinks he's that cools, but I think he's fun...

I got my cruise pics and videos loaded into my Webshots account. I need to go back and edit some pics, but really feeling out of sorts still, so that will have to wait. I have NEVER felt this bad after a cruise. Must be between the motion of the ship, and the bumpy plane ride home yesterday, finally caught up to me. I'm hoping to get back to Riverwinds(gym) tomorrow, because after spending 5 days on the Magic, I really need it!!!

DIS DADS!

You will never guess what just happened to me !!!!!!! As many of you know, I enter in a lot of sweepstakes and I just won one! I just got off of the phone with a representative of NMA Entertainment and she told me that my wife and I won a trip to Vegas to see Chris Angel at the Luxor Hotel! I have'nt even told my wife yet! You guys are the first to know! We have never been to Vegas and this will be a much needed vacation!

Vegas would be cool to visit. Pretty damn impressive costumes, coming over in a week and lets just say my needlework is not exactly up to scratch so I think I may be scrabbling about at the park putting something together at the last minute. Saw on a post somewhere that a guy is going as a Puritan to accompany his Witch wife. Unsure exactly what a Puritan looks like but I am guessing its black, lots and lots of black!
