Like others, I can't believe I haven't found this forum before.

I am going to MNSSHP on Halloween day. I have been dressing up for Halloween every year since my first child was born. I'll be dressing up as Hercules this year - albeit a scrawnier version. My wife is going to be Megara. As for the kids, they're doing an Aladdin theme. DD6 will be Jasmine, DS6months will be Raja.

Any others out there as excited to dress up for Halloween as I am?

And can someone explain to me what a Pal Mickey is?

count me in - just planning our last minute trip for october! was to go in june, but when i learned the kids have a 5 day weekend i moved it up!

PAL Mickey is a Disney-style gps-like device that only works at WDW, hidden inside of a MIckey plush that will spout off tips, information and other stuff about the parks. Each of the parks have been outfitted with wireless devices all over the place that will make him talk and give you info and stuff. Then when you get home, he'll still talk and tell jokes, just no WDW tips or other info. I wanted one for years, but DW always balked at the $$. I finally gave up on that idea when she agreed to the DVC instead... ha, quite a difference in $$ I know... but hey, no skin off my nose to have DVC instead of Pal Mickey!

You will never guess what just happened to me !!!!!!! As many of you know, I enter in a lot of sweepstakes and I just won one! I just got off of the phone with a representative of NMA Entertainment and she told me that my wife and I won a trip to Vegas to see Chris Angel at the Luxor Hotel! I have'nt even told my wife yet! You guys are the first to know! We have never been to Vegas and this will be a much needed vacation!

Dis Fan it took about 3 1/2 hours to drive from DL to the Luxor in a rented rag top with a GPS so think about it

It IS, after all, the ORIGINAL... the one that started it all - Walt's park, the ONLY Disney park he ever set foot in, ate in, slept in... his apartment is still there located above the fire station on MS... it's not that far from Vegas... I mean really, how often will you be "in the neighborhood" and be able to drop in? You know you want to. You won't regret it.

Another fun thing to do every trip is to take their picture in the exact same spot, and then get one of those multiple opening frames and put them all together...

It is indeed a great way to see them change as they get older, I have taken pics of the kids at the surfboard on Universal boardwalk every time we go there, gonna have to do a trawl through my Disney pics to find some repeaters to add to for this trip. 15th Sept is riiiight around the corner now, oh lordy I am buzzin!

We started to take a picture with Goofy sitting on the bench in front of Tony's . We firgured even if it's just a short trip we would always walk pass him several times and get it.

What's up fellas. Just thought I'd chime in and say hi to the club! Hope everyone is healthy , safe, and blessed as usual...

Well, it's WDW Trip DAY for me and now I'm really starting to get excited!!! I haven't been on for a while, but I think I remember saying to ya'll how I try not to get too excited too early because it takes forever to get here! And now (in a snap) it's here!!! My DW has been thoroughly planning this trip like I've never seen her before! She's even had her moments of shedding tears, explaining to me different things she's plugged into the trip! She's so happy to be going back and it's always great to see a smile on her face. DS is excited also. We have a couple surprises planned for him!!! He'll be exstatic!!!

Our beautiful 19 month old daughter will be the new addition to our trip this year. She can't wait to see "Ickey", "Ninney", Pooh and all the other characters!!! I know it's not gonna be the same experience we've had in the sense of care for her. For the first time we have to worry about bottles, and diapers, and naptime, etc... But I wouldn't have it any other way! It's disappointing that she won't really remember any of it though. We'll take lots of pictures!!!

Eventhough it's WDW, and there's SO SO MUCH to do, I'm really gonna try to find that fine line between going crazy at Disney and relaxing. It is still a vacation! I've been logging lot of hours at work. sometimes too many, and it'd be nice to just relax for once I'm bringing along a small note pad in an attempt to jot down notes for a mini trip report! Keep your fingers crossed on that one!

Eventhough it's finally here, it still doesn't feel real to me (pinching myself.....) OH YEAH, IT"S REAL BABY!!!! I could probably talk on and on, but I'll spare you all!!!

Hope to see some of you down there.....

P.S.- Hey Disney Fanatic.... Hopefully my Browns can take your Steelers this week. Actually finish the job we started from the last game we played against ya'll. I won't be able to see it, but I'm TiVo-ing it at home. I am turning myself off from the sports world after midday Sunday in hopes that I won't hear the score on accident! Hopefully it'll be a good game.

Man, I can feel your excitement through your post and I'm excited for you! I don't know if you realized it or not but you just completed a Pre-Trip report so you have to do a TR when you return. You and your family have a safe, blessed, relaxed, and wonderful time.
