Hello Folks:

I am within 2 weeks of going to WDW. We had never been to the waterparks, and we will be doing one this year. My question to all you DIS Dads is this, can anyone recommend which waterpark, BB or TL, would be better for DD 3yo and DS 1 yo? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

We did not go to either water park this trip, but I've been to both in the past. This is such a debated question I hesitate to pick one over the other. We went to TL last year and had a blast. They have a nice kid area called Ketchakiddee Creek that has a bunch of stuff for the little ones. The wave pool is zero entry so the little ones can enjoy it, too.

Last time we visited BB was before DD came along and was many moons ago. I remember it being a lot of fun with just the 2 of us.

can I join the Dis Dad's Club!
1.) I'm a dad
2.) I have Disney travel shows from the Travel Channel and Discovery stored on my DVR for over a year and I watch them at least once a week
...is that weird :confused3 maybe to common folk but not to a Dis Dad!

oh and PLEASE! :thumbsup2

Since you said PLEASE... OK! You're in! Member number 308, arriving!

My birthday was awesome. We were in Animal Kingdom in the morning. I checked in at the will call window and got my birthday pin and $75 gift certificate. I can not even begin to count the amount of times the CMs wished me a happy birthday. We had a TS that evening at Cape May Buffet (all you can eat clams:thumbsup2). If you are looking for a good buffet check that out. My wife had ordered a birthday cake and suprised me with that. What I wasn't ready for was the entire restaurant singing happy birthday to me. That was pretty cool. I ended up spending my gift certificate on a beer stein in germany at EPCOT and bought my wife and kids pins of a Mickey heads that was the color of a German flag.

The fishing trip was just as good. There were four of us and we all caught alot of fish. My son got the biggest at 5lbs. We were fishing around the dock where the boat drops you off at the Magic Kingdom. That was pretty cool having people standing at the dock watching us catch fish. The trip is a little expensive but worth every penny.

That sounds like a perfect birthday! I'm ready to go back already... how about you?? :rotfl:

DisneyBry, of course you are welcomed. Anyone who is a huge fan like we are can join. Anyone who loves Disney can join and anyone who has Disney in their hearts are especially welcomed. It's not weird to have recordings of Disney, I have it recorded on both DVR's and at least 5 Vacation DVD's. and I visit the website at least twice a day. My family and I love Disney World and we will be there come late September for 10 days with the free dining, and we are trying to enlist the help of my in-laws to come along with us so my wife and I can ride most of the rides, because we have a 3 and 1 year old and we all know how that is. Anyways, I welcome you and hope you enjoy the site. WE LOVE DISNEY WORLD.

Thanks for the warm welcome into the Dis Dad's Club...and thanks to Emma's Dad for adding me to the list, and like my favorite duck likes to always say, "Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!"

Thanks Trennr and Emma's Dad for the responses. We will probably not make a decision until we get down there, but I am sure that we will have a great time whichever waterpark we choose. It is just over 1 week before we go and the time cannot go by fast enough. By the way trennr, I live not too far from you, as I am from Morristown, TN. I hope all the Dis Dads have a great weekend. Take Care.

Just kidding have a great time...Guess the only park I'll be seeing this year is Dollywood. :butterfly

I also think that TL is not of a Shaded Park if that matters Maybe it's just the brightness of the BB snowcaps but it does seem there is more shade to hise in at TL.

I also agree yuo really can't go wrong with either one. We visit in June/July so hit the waterparks almost everyday even if it's just for a few hours of LazyRiver to relax in the Heat of the Day. Our DD is 15 so we do bypass most of the kiddie areas.

Hey Emma's Dad, my family and I visited June of 08 and we enjoyed both BB and TL. Although I would have to say that I think the kids enjoyed BB more. The kids area was extremely appealing to both my 3 year old and 5 year old.

:rotfl:Hey guys sorry but I jumped on and replyed to a post and didnt realize that my DW was logged in. So the IrrishMinnie post is from me not her.

Things have been great just looking for more oil and looking foreward to our next visit in November. Its exciting to see how many dads have joined up since I was last on.

Ok just found this tread I meat about 75 percent of the critera. My wife tells our dd 13 and 10 that they are the luckiest kids to have a dad that love disney. I took my wife on here first trip she like Disney but I think she would rather go to the beach if truth be told. I love to watch my girls in the world and see there faces light up. We go every three years and I do the planning. Last trip I bought the Unoffical guide and fell in love with all the planning. Our girls would just roll there eyes at me untill they saw how much time we saved:rotfl: My oldest is about the same disney geek that I am so we love to plan and she comes on to the DIS boards aswell. My youngest is getting into it now aswell. We have the Disney family with the little stickers on the back of the car( my wife actualy bought it) Down to less than 4 weeks and getting reved up by reading these boards in free time.

Have an awesome time goalierich! We are exactly 14 days from my father/sons trip for Star Wars Weekends. We can't wait!

What do I have to do to join? Does this club have a no-hazing rule?

Years of reading these boards and I didn't even realize there was a club until today. Please count me in, I want to join! I meet many of the criteria and have been planning trips for years (even if the kids have started crying "Uncle" and have had enough).

Thanks!
