ok!! laundrys done, eveything is back to normal. dont laugh, but we started packing for oct already!! no sense putting it all away and having to drag it all back out!! we put our "van" things back in and we have a suit case packed(mostly my stuff) and in the van. we have another bag w/ rain gear,hangers etc.. thats in allready also. our conf for okw is in the glove compartment!its like we are leaving this weekend. our dd is happy we are going in oct., she even started to get things together allready. i taped the mk fire works from our room one night, i think we watched them four times since we have been home. its funny, it was last wednesday, we were in the mk and my dw said, her feet were killing her. i said, im fine but my feet, legs and back are killing me. we remember on our honeymoon (1985) how we ran around the mk like 2 kids, now, were like grammy and grandpa shuffling around!!! were only 44!! i think it was when we left home it was 60 degrees and it was well into the 80s and 90s when we were there. ill take it, its only 58 out today and im freezin!!

I want to know how to join too. I meet many of the criteria even to the point that I have anteanna toppers in all holidays and change then as the holidays change.

the first night we stayed over in n.carolina. we stopped at our norm. hampton inn and they had no vac!! we went another 25 miles and the next hampton had a wedding, but we were able to get a room. we ate and around 8pm we went to sleep. i had called for a 3am wake up call for the next morning. around 1:50 am, the fire alarm went off in the room!!! we both jumpped out of bed, my dw asked, is that our wake up call? she didnt know they were all conected. someone was smoking and set the alarm off and someone tried to take theres apart and the thing rang for about 10 min. we went back to bed. i couldnt fall back to sleep. we got to the contemp around 11am and our room was ready!! we stayed in the room for about an hour just watching the ferrys, boats and disney buss going in and out of the mk.

i forgot the best part. as i thought, we got to the traffic light by the dis. market place and i turned right. dw said "were are you going, car. beach is that way,were not at okw this time." i said were not at car. beach this time either. she looked at me. before she could say anything, i said we are staying at the contemp. in the tower w/ mk view. she looked at me. said "what?" i said it again, she told me to shut up, thats not funny. by this time she dug out the conf for the resi and holding the env. in her hand. i said look at the conf. in the env. she started to smile and said i cant believe you did this! (kissed me) yes i was still driving! then i got the how and when did i know questions. i dont think she stopped smileing till we went to bed that night. than she asked, "how much are we paying for this?" i told her, i thought she would snap but she said, and i quote,"wow, thats cheap." i think at that point i could of told her a million dollars and she wouldnt of cared.

Welcome back!! That's a lot of driving... and you must have been FLYING if you made it that time! HAHA! Congratulations on your first surprise Contemporary stay and thanks for letting us be part of it. Sounds like you definitely had a magical time and I can't wait to hear the details. Gonna do a TR??

well, we drive 70 on narrow,pot hole filled roads in pa. you get us in the south on wide,smooth roads w/ long on and off ramps and im doin 80-85-(90ish) !! which by the way, even doing 80, you still get passed every so often like your standing still!!

LOL...yes, I know, 4 years is a loooong time. My wife is not as big a WDW fan as I am (she prefers DL) so it's been hard to get her to return there. With the kids being older now, I think she will enjoy herself more.

I have begun the planning, yes. We kind of know where we want to go each day. My wife wants to eat Thanksgiving day dinner at the Crystal Palace again, like we did in 2004. I have a few other places in mind where I'd like to eat (T Rex, Sci Fi, Garden Grill, 50's Primetime Cafe) and a few things I want to see that we missed last time. (like much of Epcot) The kids and I are really excited, the wife, just a little, at least on the outside.

What do I have to do to join? Does this club have a no-hazing rule?

Years of reading these boards and I didn't even realize there was a club until today. Please count me in, I want to join! I meet many of the criteria and have been planning trips for years (even if the kids have started crying "Uncle" and have had enough).

oh yes, 50 prime time, the last time i ate in there i couldnt finish my mashed potatos.i had a milk shake before the meal came. big mistake! ive eaten at all of yours but t-rex. i have never gone to dl. dw wont fly and its about a 3 day trip from here driving. i would like to see were it all started one day. it is more enjoyable now that dd is older. not that it wasnt when she was little but they go on eveything (more than i do) and no bags,strollers etc..she even likes world show at epcot!! good luck plaining. the dis., on the home page has all the menus for the rest. you can look at and print.

DisneyFed! Who's held you hostage all this time? It's good to see you on the board here. There's been a few of us that have been to see the big cheese since your last appearance. Let's see... did you catch the D23 announcement? Also, DIS had the first Podcast cruise last week... you need to catch up on last week's podcast! It was great! Well... not if you wanted to go... cause it sounded like they had LOTS of fun.

I leave with my boys for our father/sons Star Wars Weekend trip in just 8 1/2 days. We're all pretty stoked about it. Can't wait. A new experience (SWW), a new resort (OKW) and time with just my guys. It's been 4 years since the last time we had father/son time at WDW...so that will be very cool.

i wish i was at 81/2 days again. im going through post vacation blues. i have 138 days till we go again. im just about packed again. my wife says i need help. it was 34 degrees here tuesday morning. i like the 75 in the morning and 88 during the day that we just came from. have a great time. im sure ill talk to you before that

I hear what you are saying! We go again (as a family) in 135 days for a long weekend visit, to celebrate my birthday, cash in on the gift card deal, and enjoy Sea World (picked some nice discounted 2 days for 1 tickets - never been to SW Orlando before, only San Diego, so we're looking forward to it + the new Manta coaster opens next week!) and going to Medieval Times for their free admission for the birthday person (DW have done MT before, but never the kids...the boys have been asking for a while, so now's the time). We'll be staying at SSR for that one, and not doing the Disney parks at all (except for me to run over and claim the gift card). We weren't going to go again til Jan - but ended up with some points to use or lose - I wasn't about to let the points go to waste, and I'm the only one left in the family that could possibly utilize the "What Will you Celebrate?" promo...so we figured, why not?

Thanks for the update on the weather when you were there. I know it'll be warm for sure...we'll see how it plays out.

My kids are a bit older now, 12 & 17 but have 2 grand kids joing the fun now, both 1 year old!!! Cant wait till I get to take them to the world!!
