Tired tonight. Administered an End of Grade test to a group of 4th graders today. I've done this for the past several years at different grade levels and it still just mentally wears me out. I can only imagine what it does to the kids. Ya'll have a safe night. I'm hitting the sack.

Much credit for working with a group of 4th graders. I have a ton of respect for everyone who has the patience and drive to shape the minds of our next generation, it's terrifically admirable!

Quiet In here tonight...

Good news bad news for my day;

Good news: looks like I will be a DVC member as of this Friday. Very pumped.

Bad news: the bruins have a joke of a Power Play and are giving me heartburn.
Congratulations!
Sounds like a good deal.

Values go for about $109 - $149 per night, depending on season, so $60 is at least 50%.

Mods go for around $169 - $229 (rack rate).

Clearly it depends on the dates.
That's what I figured, just didn't get a chance to do the math. I totally agree - that's a great deal!

To all those in tornado alley, my prayers for you health & safety go out to you. The videos of the devistation are unbelievable.

Tough day at our house. My DWs brother had a heart attack today and had to be rushed to emergency stent placement x 2. Fortunately, he's stabilized and recovering in the ICU. But he's only 43 & my DWs father died of a heart attack when he was 40, so this is bringing up all sorts of unpleasant memories for her

Will keep your BIL in prayers, now that they know the problem, I hope he has a speedy recovery and get back to normal life:goodvibes

I am hoping and praying for everyone down south of here, this is getting ridiculous.

B's showed some heart in the last 10 minutes. The hope is that it carries over to game 7 at home... Crapshoot, but they have a chance...

Hey guys...been busy the last few weeks and haven't been around. Went to Vancouver for a conference...got to go to a NHL playoff game...got screwed on beverly cellular roaming charges,,,came back to several disasters at work... had our cub scout blue and gold banquet... and had two boys finishing their school year. Hey Dr. Sorry about having to head to Vancouver... (pre-trash talk if the Bruins win Friday. If they lose, this comment is null and void)...

Good to hear from ya

Anyone have any suggestions for on the roof luggage carriers? We have a Nissan Quest.

We had a Nissan quest.. Loved it! We bought one of those turtle shells for the top. Its a aero-dynamic sealed car top carrier.. No trash bags to cover your luggage. You throw your luggage in close and latch. It's hard plastic. And it fit nicely onto the rack system that is factory installed on the top of the Nissan. :thumbsup2

Thank you, where did you purchase it?

It was some years ago.. But I think it was SAMs Or sears. Something with an s.. :rotfl2:It rides quite nice and holds more than you think. The only problem we had with it is storing it.. We just put ropes in the garage rafters and slid it in with our empty luggage inside. Pain to get down and put away.. But it served a purpose while it was being stored..:rotfl2: as my daughter used to say when she was 3, "keeps the PIDERS out!!" :rotfl:

Hockey's still a thing? who knew...

Congrats on DVC!

Well, work got evacuated to the underground garage for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Big hail, but nothing bad-bad for me.
Seriously, I'm DONE with severe weather.

Hey Doc, I saw this in passing on FB and forgot to send your wife a note. I hope and pray for a speedy recovery and many more years of health for your BIL.

Thanks, Mark! I'll send her your well-wishes (she was overwhelmed with emails yesterday so she probably can't remember who called/emailed anyway ;-)). He's doing fine this am and hopefully will make a quick recovery, but with her family history, it hits a little close to home for all of us.

‘Morning all. Just checking in

Sorry to hear this, but I’m glad to know that his prospects are very good for now. Keeping y’all in our thoughts down this way.
:grouphug:

Very cool. :thumbsup2
Glad y’all were able to find a way to make the DVC work for you.
I’d like toi join in at some point, but it will have to wait for now.

Trying to post with my phone so we'll see how it works. Managed to drop and smash the screen on my laptop tonight. Tore up my mower last night and laptop tonight, looking like an expensive week.

You and technology just ain’t gettin’ along this week. :headache:
Hopefully this stuff will come to an end and you’ll get back into a more normal rhythm.

We made it through the storms ok last night. Just wind rain and hail locally. There were some tornadoes to the south of us though. I didn't see any damage this morning, but it was still dark when I left the house. We haven't had power since 11 pm last night, so we left at about 5:30 this morning to go to my parents' house to take showers.

Good news: looks like I will be a DVC member as of this Friday. Very pumped.
Congratulations! If find that you have too many points and need someone to help use them up, just let me know.:lmao:

Yeah, I'm over this stuff. Never fun. Glad you made it out ok.

Sorry to hear about that, praying for a full and speedy recovery. That really does have to be hard for your wife with her dad's history.

With all this severe weather we've been having, it's like something out of a movie. My heart and prayers goes out to all who are in need.
It use to be that when a warning came, I might go to our safe place, now there's no question, we go!
