Today is the 20th anniversary of Muppet Vision 3d at hollywood studies. Pour yourself a bowl of 2d Fruities and toast with a good pun.

Hey how did you guys get here!!!

We entered a contest...and we lost!!! Bah-huh-huh-huh

Waldorf and Stadler OWNAGE!!!!

Welcome.

You actually made a very good point. We should all "invade" the DisDad's every so often, just to keep them honest...that is if we can handle the mindless dribble they talk about. My DH lives over there.

:grouphug:

I had 3 days and several pages worth of posts to filter through this morning. I didn't multiquote everything, but I do want to wlecome the new dads to the club.

DW said we're going to WDW next June! (leaving on Memorial Day)
Congratualations! Sounds like fun.

Top two contenders in my mind right now would be Maleficent, Aurora, and Prince Phillip,
I think that would be a great set of costumes. :thumbsup2

The moms are harmless. Now that we have our own sub-forum, there's no way they'd want to come in here and filter through 20 some odd threads plus the several pages we add to this one in a day just to "keep us honest." Not that it would do them any good anyway even if they did want to expend that much effort. :lmao:

That's some good ownage right there. We need a Waldorf and Statler Picture for the first post on the Rants thread.

Some other W and S quotes.
W: You know, the opening is catchy.
S: So is smallpox.

S: Hey you old fool, you slept through the show!
W: Who's the fool? You watched it!

W: Shakespeare would have hated that.
S: You should know. You dated his sister.
W: Boy was she ugly.

W: What do they call that sketch?
S: The medium sketch.
W:The medium sketch?
S: Well, it wasn't rare and it certainly wasn't well done!

Statler: Hey, look! Look at the guy in the Goofy mask!
Waldorf: That's not a mask.
Statler: Oh. Sorry, lady.

S: Oh, Waldorf, it's that dumb bear again!
W: Yeah. Hey, bear, you're not even funny in 3D!

If they have time to invade this thread, they aren't doing there own thread right.

The DDC Rant thread is posting at approx. the rate of 5:1 over the DDC praise thread.

What does that say 'bout us?

For me it says I haven't been on the Prayer and Praise Thread to give support and prayer to those that have asked for it. I headed there now. :guilty:

I think that would be a great set of costumes. :thumbsup2

Yeah, it's probably the most likely. Sleeping Beauty is DW's favorite movie, and I think she would absolutely die if she could wear a Maleficent costume to WDW.

Sounds like some DisDads need to do a better job of keepin' their womenfolk in line. :rotfl2:

But I kid the Chilledmonkey. If the Moms' lives are so bereft of interesting things that they need to peek in on us, they're welcome to it. We're not exclusionist like they are. :lmao:

Time for the Week 11 DIS Dad Fantasy NASCAR update.

***Attention birdslightyear, you need to set your lineup!***

It was a relatively quiet week in the standings with the exception of birdslightyear dropping to 9th place. The lineup apparently hadn't been changed recently and the drivers in the starting lineup have run out of starts. The lowest week will be dropped, so if you're still around you can set your lineup next week and still compete.

If anyone who hasn't joined the league wants in, please let me know. This league is in segments Spring/Summer/Playoffs so even if you join now, you can compete in the last 2 segments. We have 2 more races before the summer segment begins.

The standings after Week 11 in Dover, DE are as follows:
  1. Duck Martin 2854
  2. Jungle Cruisers 2623
  3. Pride Rock Motorsports 2580
  4. Mater's Racers 2565
  5. Test Track Dummies 2519
  6. DF Racing 2426
  7. $6 Disney Racers 2401
  8. Rolling Thunder Racing 2397
  9. birdslightyear 2396
  10. Taxidermy Tech 2387

The high score of the week for the second week in a row belonged to Jungle Cruisers, 272 pts
  • Carl Edwards
  • Ryan Newman
  • Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
  • Bobby Labonte

I got to see Endeavour on the launch pad! Sure, it was covered by a "service module" making it impossible to identify anything other than the top of the reserve fuel tank, but I have it on good authority that it was there! :woohoo:
Welcome back! We saw Discovery on the pad in 2007. We must have gotten lucky, because not only did we see the tip of the external tank, but we saw the tip of one of the SRBs as well. :confused3

I dunno, something about announcing to your whole community and the surrounding cities that your home will be unattended for several days doesn't seem like a grand idea to me. :confused3
Hey, I just come up with the plan. I don't fill in the details.
Besides that's Facebook and Foursquare's job.
:rotfl2:

Zip tie's??? that's crazy. Duct Tape or maybe the "Super Tape" that' been mentioned on this board would enable you to have more surface area connecting the rocket to the roof rack.
We sell 48" long by 3/8" wide zip ties at work. A few dozen of those aught to do the trick. But a few rolls of duct tape probably wouldn't hurt...

You actually made a very good point. We should all "invade" the DisDad's every so often, just to keep them honest...that is if we can handle the mindless dribble they talk about. My DH lives over there.

That's my wife. :sad2:

Hey - what's she calling mindless dribble? I put a lot of thought into my dribble!

What's the one at the end at WDW? They can't leave. They're bolted to the seats?

Probably. I'll let you know after I wake up on the couch tomorrow morning. :headache:

Oh, wait a minute. I thought you were going to be Maleficent? :confused3:confused:
:lmao::rotfl2:

I'm sure your wife would love to go as one of the most popular Disney vilains. Especially if the costume is as good as your daughter's Snow White. Speaking of which, I'm sure she'd make an adorable Aurora as well.

Eh, might as well keep egging it on. :rolleyes1

You do need to be careful here. Kid's costumes are fine, but I have heard of Disney making adults change out of their costumes is they diem them "too close" to the original. They don't want other guests mistaking you for the real Snow White, getting pictures and autographs, etc.
Granted at Halloween time many people are dressed as Disney Characters and they'll probably be more relaxed with those rules. But if you really look like you could be working, I'd expect at least someone to pull you aside and warn you not to take pictures or sign autographs.

:lmao: to quote the great cartman, " get back in the kitchen and make me some pie"!!! :lmao: i left some words out.:lmao:

Comedic genius. The "Kyle's mom's a b!..." from the 1st season is the best song ever. The "respect my authority" COPS episode was great as well.

I think DW would divorce me if I did that. :rotfl:

I seriously doubt anyone would mistake me for the "Real" Prince Phillip, unless they did a sequel where Phillip put on a few pounds and just sat around in the castle all day. :upsidedow

BEVERLY! And here I was working all these years to get my body in shape for the Mr. Incredible costume... NOW what am I gonna do?

You better keep her in line. I took care of mine.
