I'm in if you want. I think Joes is overhyped. Have you ever tried Tobacco Road? It's somewhat of a dive (OK it is a dive) but they serve pretty good burgers. It is near downtown. DD wants to watch Survivor so I haven't seen any of the game. Will check it out in a bit.

I'll put up a "loser buys" for a great place in Miami. Since you're the local, I'll defer to your pick but look forward to making a Dis Dad meetup there.

alright, off to the first day at the new gig, a day one year in the making and something I haven't done in 13 years. Starting over kind of sucks, but it sure beats the alternative.

Actually, half the time she only eats the inside!

This time she ate the creme, then took a bite of the outside. but didn't finish it.

So, I thought to share some photos of my little princess with you from this last Saturday. See, DD joined the girl scouts in march. She finally turned 5 and could join. This last Saturday, they held a He and Me dance. The girls got to invite any adult male role model they wished to this dance. My DD had invited my father up, but due to an emergency, he was not able to attend.

So, Me, Papa Rick (my stepdad) and G-Mama (my mom) all came. Here are a few photos:

Now, they did games during this 'dance' (there wasn't much dancing.. but we still had fun!) One of these games was a Cookie Race. I never heard of this before, but apparently there are a ton of youtube videos of this game. Basicly, you put a cookie on your forehead and you can only use your face to move it from your forehead into your mouth. I got some great photos of DD attempting this feat. She lost at least 7 cookies to the floor before two people won. After the winners were declared, she just went ahead and ate the last cookie (non-floor touching cookie). BTW, I removed her glasses after the first cookie got stuck on them.

I had to tell her as I was taking this shot, don't use your hands!

Hello DIS Dads,

Occasional DISboard lurker and big Disney fan. My wife (long time DISboard member "DannysMom") finally convinced me to create a log in by telling me about a "Dad's Club thread" so here I am. Heading with the family down to Disney World for a stay at the Beach Club in June for my older sons 8th Birthday. This will be the first trip for our boy/girl twins who will be almost 2.

Should be quite an adventure

I'm back at work sad1 after a long weekend in Florida. Had an awesome time. We got to see St. Augustine, Friday's round at the Players Championship near Jacksonville, the Kennedy Space Center, and Downtown Disney. Wish I was still there. I posted some pics on FB if you're able to see them there.

I got to see Endeavour on the launch pad! Sure, it was covered by a "service module" making it impossible to identify anything other than the top of the reserve fuel tank, but I have it on good authority that it was there!

Zip tie's??? that's crazy. Duct Tape or maybe the "Super Tape" that' been mentioned on this board would enable you to have more surface area connecting the rocket to the roof rack.
