I know a few good places in Austin:

Chuy's
Magnolia Cafe
Z'Tejas

But it's been quite a while since I've been there. Also, they are primarily Tex-Mex places, because I really couldn't see the point in eating anything else while I was there. :thumbsup2

Wait... there was a BBQ place or two that were good, too, but I think the consensus is any BBQ place is good in Austin.

Also, Amy's Ice Cream for dessert.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking too, TEX-MEX and BBQ....or both at the same time:laughing:

2 more days till I can make ADR's!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO The 179 on the ticker is for the cruise.
Well if it's 2 days for you that must mean it's 2 for me too? Seeing how I haven't been, well, in a couple decades. :scratchin I think we might stick to the fine walk up establishment type of places though since I have a feeling the cruise before will take the sit down eating out of me.:crutches:

OH AND FIRST EVER OWNAGE!!!!!

BIL (Josh) DS (Christian) Me on our way from WDW to Port ST Lucie in 2008

Dont you wish you could UN-SEE that?!!

At first I was wondering how you got a hold of a picture of me. :rotfl:

hey, gang, this may be odd, but i have a Disney World related question.

When (typically) can a person start booking travel for 2012? I think the DW is a little more serious than I originally though about Travel in May (or August) of 2012, and I was curious when that would likely open up? is it 12 months, or is it more calendar year?
We'd LOVE to book a family Grand Gathering-style vacation, but the only way that can happen with a family that has 9 children, 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grand children is to get dates on the calendar as quickly as possible for as long away as possible.:

You can book it up to 500 days in advance, but you have to call Disney or get a Travel Agent to do it for you. They will set your room rate based on the highest rate for the current year, but don't fret - once the 2012 pricing comes out (usually June or July, if I remember correctly), you can get it adjusted to the proper rate.

If you have a good TA, they will take care of that for you. And they would also apply any discount rates when they are released - if they apply for dates of your stay.

Yes. And so does Mark (prattpak) and Jason. We may have another 1 or two on here, too. (But I may hold you to that!)

OWNAGE!

Noted and Noted, thank you!!!!!!!

You bet! I love food, and I have been to both cities many times (lived in Austin for a few years, too.)

I may have to post my long post about 'How Food Saved my Life' one of these days, if y'all want to be bored by some of my ramblings and see why I hold a special place in my heart (and belly) for food in general.

‘Cause if’n ya’ ‘r, that’s some mighty good camouflage.

Page 1 updated :thumbsup2
Good catch… Thanks.

Thank Rob, your IT kung fu is strong. :thumbsup2

Thanks you sir. I’m glad that solved the problem. You can put a space or two back in there if you want to spread the images out a bit, but just stay away form the “new-line” key.

At the rate gas is climbing I will seem really old when I mention that I remember when gas was only a $1.00 :lmao::lmao:

You ain’t old. It was cheaper then that when I started driving. I was ticked when it crossed a buck.

:lmao: do you remember waiting in line,on the odd number day at the gas station waiting to fill up?:lmao: i didnt drive then, i started driving in 81 but i remember sitting in the plymouth with my dad waiting for a chance at a tank of gas.:lmao:

Yes… Yes I do.

Odd numbered tags on odd days even numbered tags on even days, a long wait on any day. :sad2:

Are there a lot of festivities in the Charleston area today for the 150th anniversary of the shelling of Fort Sumter?

Not so much.
An artillery reenactment out at Patriot’s Point, and that’s about it.

In Chevy's its Furlongs/Fortnight. :sad2:
That… Is funny. :lmao:

Meat on stick good!!
::yes::

party: :bday:

Guys, Thank's for the birthday wishes!!! :thumbsup2

Remember though that I am NOT a day over 43!!!!!!! :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:
