Hey Guys,
Is it possible for a poor lost wanderer to get back into the group? Its only been like a year or so since I've been on (Sheepish grin).

Granted I didn't converse much to start with, but then again I always was a little shy around people. Also if I don't jump in here I might never find you guys again, sooooo many closed threads, WOW.

Stopher, 1000, nice.

Welcome back from one lapsed member to another!:thumbsup2

Welcome to you both.

You guys are watching CSI, I'm watching a replay of Manchester United v. Chelsea from earlier today. Sort of becoming addicted to the beautiful game. Wish that I'd had the chance to play it growing up.

Man U vs. Chelsea is like watching Yankees / Red Sox. They both have spent YEARS buying championship teams, that the appeal of their game is lost. (in My opinion).

I played soccer as a youth, but because my brother stopped playing, I did too, and probably too soon. But fortunatly I live in a neighborhood where the Friday Night Pick-up game at the park still exists.

I must humbly beg entrance into your presence. I desperately need a fastpass into the the DIS Dad's Club.

DS (22) - The calm one. Graduating from NC State in May, but does that mean the money drain is over....please, it's on to law school now.

DD (16) - My new driver, think "Mad Tea Cups". Does want to do the Disney College Program of course.

DD (15) - Walking party. Like the afternoon parade.

DD (9) - Thinks the only channel is Disney. Most prized possessions are her Disney laptop and her autographed Goofy Ears.

Welcome, Jerry. Looks like you should fit in here just fine.

Our family will be in your neck of the woods June 4-11.....I need a vacation!:rotfl2:

Must be an Ohio resident vacation spot! My family/parents have been going to HHI every year for around 11 years. They own at one of the Marriott timeshares.

Oh...and thanks for the update on Dales's family...seems that all these prayers may be doing some good.

Today was a hard day...Richards' funeral was today. Allison was of course unable to attend, but the doctors let Jacob out long enough to attend the funeral and come back. Dale told him this morning that his father had died. During the funeral I was sitting in the choir loft and could see him. There was a lost and confused look on his face and then total heartbreak. I can't imagine what was going through his mind today. Bless his heart! The church was packed and there was standing room only. During the funeral our pastor offered up a special prayer for Allison because while this was all going on she was undergoing a repeat MRI prior to her surgery tomorrow. There was not a dry eye anywhere. The procession to the cemetary was over a mile long we were told. Speaks a lot for his character doesnt it? We received a call this evening from Pastor and he told us that both Jacob and Allison were to have surgery again tomorrow. Jacob is having his jaw fixed. We did have some good news in the conversation this evening...The doctors told Dale that when they looked at her MRI this evening there has been some changes and that they feel after her surgery tomorrow she will be able to make a full recovery and walk again!! Praise The Lord!!! Please keep praying for her and the rest of the family!!! I pray the doctor is right

Prayers going out that all works out well tomorrow:goodvibes, I'm glad Jacob was able to attend the funeral, he got to say goodbye:littleangel: It had to be some kind of closure for him.

So this is my 1000th post. I want to thank all you guys for letting me be a part of this amazing group of men. Like Aaron says in the podcast intro, we are a diverse group, but we share a love for our kids, our families and all things Disney, and that is a wonderful group to be a part of. After lurking for a while on the disABILITIES section, I finally got a login in February of 2009 so that I could join the Dis Dads Club. Wanting to be less public (although I freely share my name with you all!), I changed my login a few months ago and cheated to bring my total up to where my old one was (so I really am at 1000). Along the way, I made some great friends, first virtually, and finally some in person. I have found a great deal of fun and support here and am extremely greatful for you all. Thank you. Some of you have taken me up on my unique job, and I happy to have the opportunity to help those in need and to give back to this incredible community. Please email me if you ever need anything. I know that I plan to continue to rely on all of you for laughs, for venting or for whatever else it is we do here. Looking forward to expanding our friendships over time and in person. Thanks, guys!

Congrats and well said.

BIL (Josh) DS (Christian) Me on our way from WDW to Port ST Lucie in 2008

Dont you wish you could UN-SEE that?!!

Wow!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:
It looks like a couple of Wisconsinites got captured by your camera! :lmao:

Thanks for the warm welcome! I think I am more excited about the trip than anyone else in my family. As for G Mac, I'd love to see him learn from(it pains me to say) the best qb(imo) to ever play the game. He's at the very least the best student of the game.

Welcome to the mad house. So, are you a Tigers fan? :confused3

At the rate gas is climbing I will seem really old when I mention that I remember when gas was only a $1.00 :lmao::lmao:

I think for about the first 6 months to a year after I got my license it ran about 95 to 99 cents consistently... then it began the slow steady... ah who am I kidding, meteoric, rise to the levels we deal with today.

I remember in 98 I took a road trip across the US and Canada and gas was a cheap as 75 cents a gallon and I also recall feeling ripped off when I had to pay an outrageous $1.25. :rotfl2:

(I have to laugh, or else I'll cry):rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Wouldn't help. My kids will be out of college before my med school debt is paid off. Tell her to shoot higher. A banker?

Bwahahahaha!!!!! A Banker!!! Bwahahahahaha!!!!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but no.

In "Blues News": My son made their FB page with a couple photos from the Corpus Christi show this past weekend. Here he is saluting the pilots as they head to their jets.

Sounds like a tough day there Steve. My heart goes out to the young man there, but I hope the docs are right with Allison. Prayers are continuing for the whole family.

Emma's Dad: I never realized this until today but could you add my b-day (May 26).

We celebrated DW's birthday today. Relatively simple celebration, but that's us. We had a cake and family dinner together, which is right up our alley. The best part is our eldest is actually starting to kick her cold (after 11 days and a second round of antibiotics)

Probably 100+ pages ago... Shhh! No spoilers! I'm waiting to watch it with DW at 9!

Morning Gents,

Up early today to run a bunch of errands including a visit to the lawyer and a call to the doctor for the results of my most recent labs. Wish me luck.

Last night I saw both NCIS and the season opener for Deadliest Catch. If you haven’t seen the NCIS episode you need to watch it on-line. Next week is going to be good and you can bet my butt will be planted on the couch next week. DC was a good start but I do miss Captain Phil.

Have a good day everyone.
