... they now do all the Jedi Training show booking as soon as the park opens, and give you a return ticket with what show they will be in, with like 15 kids per show, it fills quickly and can be full within the 1st hour of park opening:scared1:

Wow.

We haven't done that one in a while, actually never in FL, just in CA, so all I can say is wow.

:rotfl2:Love working from home

Actually, the company is looking at doing away with offices completely - except for the home office... I'm not sure if THAT will help productivity or not.:rolleyes1

Problem with that - too many colours to choose from... :lmao:

Funny - I am checking that out at the bestbuy (Canada website at $199) - and the ratings are COMPLETELY different by colour:

Silver - 2.5 out of 5
Pink - 4.3 out of 5
Brown - 4.0 out of 5
Blue - Not rated

So clearly I have to get the Pink... :rotfl2:

All I can say is that she has the Silver one and I would definitely rate it more like a 4 out of 5! ;)

It performs almost identical to her SD1000 with the added benefit of image stabilization. It is slightly larger than her previous.

If you're looking for a super small Canon - the SD1400 is nice and tiny for a few more dollars. :thumbsup2

Nothing tangible, no... it's just all in your mind. Because someone will just come along and get the next one.

Well that's a downer...

OK, off to Best Buy to look at Camera's.

I will report back later.

Sample from my Broken Camera :(

Well that's a downer...

That's me to a T! Mr. Downer... of course I also find the whole "ownage" thing quite grating anyway... kind of like a sharp-claw glove running down a chalkboard.

So there you go. My opinion, which is of course, in the extreme minority on this thread since so many do love to report on it when they achieve that particular status. Being a guy of course I get the competitive nature of it (heck I've played along many a time to claim the spot - I just don't mention it when I achieve it). I'll keep my opinions back inside from now on though so the rest who do enjoy it can continue doing so.

That would be VERY nice.

I think so. I've been pushing for it for a while. We have a new President who believes it in as well... so perhaps.

We're all equipped to work from anywhere as it is already - and the expense of 4 regional offices plus a home office is just plain disgusting, really. Way too much money is spent on real estate. I'd love it if those dollars were put into more important stuff like - oh, say - bonuses, or raises, or stuff that's more important to the work force. We literally have probably 5 people come IN to our office for a meeting per year. 2,000 sf in Indy for 3 people - 2 of which are not even in the place but one day per week. The other (me) who's in it probably just 3 days per week. Such a waste if you ask me.

Check out this video of the new Ursula AA figure that just moved in to her lair at the new Little Mermaid attraction at DCA - and coming to the MK in 2012. It's pretty cool. And such an impressive size she'll be too. They said 12 feet wide by 7 feet tall. She'll FILL that room!

If you've got a smart phone, I installed a nice little widget that automatically reformats the site so that it's more readable on a small browser.

Or just use it as an excuse to get yourself a 3G iPad. :cool2:

Hmmmmm :scratchin You may be on to something there...

In honor of your birthday, and your birthday restaurant selection, I just enjoyed some chips and salsa as part of my lunch.

Imagine La Cucaracha playing in the background here:
:dancer::dancer::dancer:

So checking the stats for #7 - we're now up to page 122, or nearly half way through in just 15 days. We're averaging 8.13 pages per day. Wow. It looks like we'll need to be ready for #8 Don by the last week of March if this pace continues.

Wow. Just Wow.... that is all

Trying to get most of the 1st coat spackeling done before I pick up my son from school, yesterday had to stop early, I showed my son how to spakel the screw holes, he was doing a good job, and then he slipped off the little foot stool, and one of his feet went rite into the spackel bucket:scared1::lmao: I spent a hour and a half cleaning up his (New:scared1:) sneaker:rotfl:, So I figured we will do something else in the room when he gets home, I'm also starting to think that when it's painting time, maybe I should do it when he's in school:confused3:lmao::goodvibes

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: Oops! Which is worse... foot in spackle... or foot in paint can?

Everyone head over to Don's TR and celebrate his Birthday...and lack of progress!!! :rolleyes1

SHHHHHHHH!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOOSE!!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks, Mav!

Apparently the engineers designed this for a particular test group... :rolleyes1

So okay guys...

as you'll recall, we're going to the World in about 3 weeks - and it's a non-parks trip. While there are plenty of things to do in the world to occupy our time - several of which we'll be doing - the boys have asked /are wanting something to do off-property for one day. We are not doing a theme park - so US or SW or any others are not an option. We've been to the Space Center before, and we've been to the ocean just once as a family. (I've been to various beaches in Florida over the years but not the family). We've done Medieval Times, and a few of the little things on International Drive as well.

If this were YOUR trip, and YOUR kids asking... what kinds of ideas do any of you have for some kind of a nice, off-property excursion? I have some ideas already, but thought I'd just open it up to some others to see what other things might come up... that we haven't already thought of.

We might not even venture off property - I just want to be armed with options in case we do.

Thoughts?

Have your kids ever seen/set foot in the Gulf of Mexico? We found a nice island near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge near St. Petersburg/Tampa.

Ft. DeSoto State Park

There's also a manatee viewing area near a power plant at Apollo Beach on Tampa Bay. The power plant isn't very scenic, but it was cool to see manatees in the wild--they like to hang out near the warmer water there.

There's also St. Augustine, about 1.5 - 2 hours away on the Atlantic coast. First permanent town in America, a cool fort, Old Town tours, and the World Golf Hall of Fame, which I'm sure you're dying to see.

Thanks Mark! Good ideas to consider...

No - they've only stepped in to (and swam in) the Atlantic, not the Gulf... definitely something to ponder.

Stopher... I know you are board so I have a task for you....

Find me a video of the Magic, the Memories, & You show at WDW from March 11th. I will be forever indebted to you! :worship::worship:

I will throw in some New Haven pizza and a pitcher or 2 of beer next time you are in CT!

I'll do my best, but somehow I'm not sure I can. At least you got a picture of your sweet little girl on the castle while you were there!
