I don't understand why the height would be 48''. :confused3

From all the videos I've seen it looks like there is more than one person in the raft at a time. If the height is indeed 48'' that is going to exclude MANY kids and that isn't a good thing. :sad2:

I suspect the reason for the 48" rule is twofold. One has to do with the landing pool, and the ability to safely maneuver through a less-than-perfect stop. The second, and perhaps more important issue, is evac in case of a problem. IIRC, the tube is 52" in diameter. Someone shorter than 48" might have difficulty getting out.

Looking into setting this up in the next week or so.

So far, Yahoo is not offering a 2011 Fantasy Baseball season option.

FanTrax offers a free league option and Nate has already set up a football league there for next year because it is free and very customizable.

I was thinking about using FanTrax for baseball as well, but I have never used it before. Anyone have any thoughts?

Also, for anyone wanting to play, what type of scoring? Standard Rotisserie? Head-to-head? Points based? I have done them all and have no real preference.

Once it is set up, I will be soliciting e-mails and making the invites.

Finally, Nate, any interest in being co-commish in this one?

No thanks...I don't watch Baseball. But I suggest you give them 1 point for every first down...and enable 3 point shots. :confused3 :rolleyes1

Thanks for the insight.. I can understand the safety reasons but 48'' would be a 6-7 year old. That is excluding many kids on that boat. :confused3

I personally have no opinion on FanTrax... never used it, know nothing about it. That said, if you want to try it, I don't have a problem with that. As far as scoring goes, I've also done all of them. I tend to lean more towards the head to head. It seems like all the leagues I'm in use that system anymore, so I guess I just like what I'm used to. I'd play under any of the scoring options though.

According to the DISUnplugged podcast, there is a smaller slide at the kids' pool. I guess I don't see it as any different than height limits on coasters in the parks. :confused3

It sure the he!! is! Check out the mobile upload pics on my FB page.... I took some more after the last storm.

Check out my boat... I don't think that will be getting out till JULY!

It's just been one of those weeks for me.

Dang, and it's just Monday. Hang in there.

Hey guys, been a lurker for a while but never noticed this section somehow.

My name is Patrick (7/21/1969) and I currently live in Charlotte NC. I have a wife and we're separated and have two sons 9 and 13. Our next trip is in August and even though we will be legally divorced by then all four of us are going to WDW and staying in the same room. (awkward) But I told myself i would make sure we still did some stuff as a family no matter what and WDW definitely counts.

You can see from my sig line how many times we've been and I love the world to many of my co-workers disbelief.

I grew up in Pittsburgh so you can guess who i'm rooting for this week:
GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!

Howdy neighbor. Just flew out of CLT to MCO a week and a half ago.

:lmao: what a culture shock. i know its "ya all" in the south, what would "ya all" be in canada?

It's not "ya all." "Ya all" is 2 words.:lmao: It's "ya'll", one word :rotfl:

Anyone going to Disney in June?

I'm there: 18th through the 25th.

I got some disturbing news this morning. I was listening to the Disunplugged Podcast as they were talking about the Disney Dream. They mentioned the minimum height requirement is 48" for the AquaDuck water coaster. For some reason, I had 40" in my head as the requirement. The only thing DS has been talking about is that water coaster, but I seriously doubt he's going to grow 5" in the next 8 months. :sad1: DD probably won't make it either, as she's only 46" or so now.
I can't take them on the ship and have them look up at that coaster every day and not let them go on it. We haven't decided anything yet, but I have a feeling we'll be pushing our first cruise back a few more years...:sad2:

Well, that sucks Beverly. I wonder why they would build a ride with such visual attraction in a way that prevents the younger ones from riding?

We experienced something similar in AK last trip. DD4 was getting into riding everything and saw the colorful spinning Primeval Whirl and couldn't wait to get on it. I didn't realize that it was a 48" minimum. I felt like a heel. Luckily, mom was there to quickly wisk her away to another adventure (a few more rounds on Triceratop Spin). Who did they build that ride for anyway?

We have done the Mouse Trap at Kings Dominion many times last summer. it is a sister ride of Primeval Whirl, the Mouse Trap was 44" min, now he also could not go on Primeval since he was 44 1/2" I think the reason might be because it spins:confused3, most rides that are close to Primeval do not, well that's the only thing I can think of:confused3

Where does Phineas & Ferb live where they get 104 days of summer vacation, the kids around here are lucky if they are off by June 21 and they go back like the day after labor day, looking at 75 days tops:confused3
