Well, everyone talking of their weather makes me want to brag! I can see the grass...brown as it is...the snow is gone!! The next storm coming will only leave us rain...and the sun is shining now...WoooHooo:cool1:

Well on the Northern side of Ohio - it's a different story! Had another 5 inches in last night's storm in top of the 6 inches that was already on the ground. Expecting a mix of ice and snow tonight with a possible additional accumulation of 9 more inches! :sad1:

And to top if all off - I'm at work today with no customers....twiddling my thumbs all day and looking out the window!

Reading all of the posts here today makes me glad that, so far, the snow has stayed up north where it belongs. Must be karma for sending so much of it down here last year. :rotfl:

My drive in wasn't bad. They're calling for the heavy snow to start around 3pm, plus lots of blowing and drifting. They're calling for 14" or so overnight. School has already been canceled for tomorrow.
As a "thank you" to everyone that braved the weather and came to work today, my company brought in pizza for lunch. I don't know how much pizza it takes to feed 175 people, but I'm guessing that delivery driver got a pretty nice tip.

Drive home safely!

So... ummm.... was there any pepperoni on that pizza? :confused3

Wow, that's pretty cool. Many of us drove through the ice to work this morning, and the newspaper still criticized us for being lazy, stupid state workers. :confused3 :rotfl2:

-31...I'm sorry, that's just ridiculous...

Please please PLEASE keep that kind of weather where it belongs....

As far away from me as possible

:rotfl2:

Wait wait wait......Its now a balmy -30 wind chill! WOOHOOO :cool1: HEAT WAVE!!!
Wait..its supposed to be colder tomorrow?... what could you possibly mean by that Weather Lady?.....:confused3:eek:

I was just curious if they just cheesed ya to death... like you aren't already 'Cheesed' to death where you live. popcorn::

There is no such thing as too much cheese. When all of your arteries decay from being too thin, the rest of us will deep fry another wheel of mozzarella and toast to our good health. :thumbsup2

Well, I think you just explained it yourself... you had to drive on ice. Maybe if you state employees weren't slackers, those roads would have been clear. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::lmao:

We've gotten about 8" of snow so far, and it's supposed to continue falling until Noon tomorrow, for a total of more than a foot. Haven't really been able to "enjoy" the snow day, since I've been running a fever of over 100 degrees since yesterday.

Thanks for keeping that on your side of the state. Over here, north of the STL is going to be bad, but now my part of town is predicting for less than 4 inches of snow (but it's still on top of 1/2 inche of ice and an inch of sleet). It's so bad a local grocery store chain (Schnucks) is closing their 24 hour stores at 9 p.m. reopening at 8 a.m....

Well Jumping Joe Fridley!

The TV I ordered 2 weeks ago finally showed up. (After an unfortuante misrouting to Baton Route.) And they just announced that we are going to be working from home the rest of the week.

Now that's what I call divine timing my friends.

Dull, rainy, day here in NC, or at least on our end of NC. One of the great things about all of the weather going on is that it gives us a chance to talk to our students about weather in other parts of the US. I did send the weather channel link out to all of our staff at school today simply because of the sheer size of the storm that many of you are going through and the unbelievable amounts of snow that many of you will see. There were several great discussions in classes today about weather and the differences from what many of you guys are seeking as compared to what we see out of the same type of storm. In addition, there were some great map and graph interpretations that TWC had up, which are areas that our state just overloads us with on our end of the year testing.

I'll just say this; all of ya'll dealing with this stuff enjoy it but be safe. I know what a 6-8 inch snow does to our part of the world; I can't imagine getting anything like you guys are getting now and how it would totally shut us down for weeks.

"Hey, hows it goin' Eh!:thumbsup2"

In a Sentence:
"Hey, how it goin' Eh! We're gonna grab a 24 and head up to the lake"

Translation:
Hello, We are going to get a case of beer and go to the cabin. (The "You are Welcome to join us" is implied)
:lmao:

same here:rotfl2: and can't sleep at night thinking about....but I think we are going for the free beee......So we defently have to meet up...so I can treat you guys with a meal....since I will be getting 144:lmao:....

Thank you everyone for your input...Know go find my wife and talk to her:worship:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Nice one! I drove through the ice as it fell from the sky, not ON the ice because of the stellar road conditions.:thumbsup2
