I think if you actually wanted to say no, the appropriate wording would be:

"Go during weekend of Star Wars, I do not want"

However, I believe that you actually want to go during said weekend so :thumbsup2:cool1:

When it comes to WDW you don't have to twist my arm, I always cave quickly:lmao:

Well I know we don't have too many Red Wings fan's here but we had a really nice day today so I thought I would share a couple pics. The Wings had a fan day at Joe Louis and we were able to tour the locker room, get photo ops, meet some of the broadcasters, etc...All in all it was a great day!

Cool pics Kyle. Although I am a Blackhawks fan (Patrick Sharp was named MVP of the All-Star game!!:cool1:) I can totally appreciate what your experience must have been like for you and your family. Very neat to see the great Red Wings traditions up close.

On a completly different topic, I have to say that as a former server in a bar restaurant environment and knowing what Disney pays as base wages, I can totally support an 18% minimum gratuity for large parties. If service is poor, then a discussion with management is appropriate.

I donn't think the words trip to WDW and NO can be said in the same sentence.:goodvibes at any time. Sounds like a cool trip.:woohoo:

In the BIG picture of things, since we would be going in June, I might be able to sneak another trip in before the end of the year:confused3

So here I am do you think it is worth the money to up grade to deluxe dinning or just sit back for some free food>>> sorry for the rant and raving.

Especially with a group your size, I don't really see how the deluxe dining plan can possibly be a good value. Not only are you killing yourself with tips, but the real killer is TIME. You've probably got to figure at least 2 hours for a table service meal for twelve - drink orders alone are going to take 15 minutes. ADR seating is also going to be challenging, because to seat a group that large, it probably requires that several smaller parties leave. So you probably have to expect a somewhat longer wait after ADR check-in. Three table service meals, at two hours per meal plus a 30-minute wait to be seated means spending a minimum of 6 1/2 hours/day in restaurants. Do you really want to give up that much touring time?

Meanwhile, if you want an extra table service meal or two, you can probably pay for those two meals out of pocket for less money than the DxDP upgrade for every member of the party for every day.

It looks like you would be better off with staying with what you already have without the free food. All in all who could argue with that.:confused3

You got a good point, but with a party that size wouldn't they fall into the Grand Gathering catagory:confused3

heh everyone, I live in north carolina and my birthday is Oct 23

Welcome! So are you a local or a transplant?

:cool1::banana:
Hey guys just joined. Have been reading all day and really enjoyed the banter. Our count down is short and this is our 6th trip as a family and we are still all stoked.:thumbsup2

Welcome! Congrats on the upcoming trip!

Hello! I wish I would have found this thread a long time ago.. I thought I was the only father that was obsessed openly with Disney World.

Welcome Carl!

Beautiful day here in NC today.

It's nice to be back to the "regular" NC winter weather.

Wife informed me this weekend that our 2012 trip will be in June during the Star Wars event:yay: How can I say no to that:confused3

Our trip last summer was during SW weekends, I was so caught up running a race that weekend at AK that I didn't even realize it was going on until we got there. DS had no idea about Star Wars when we got there and was totally hooked by the time we left. If you plan your day right and get there early (don't think either of those is an issue for you:worship:) you will have a great time!

Tim going to aim the big fan your way Tues night, I know you love that white stuff:lmao:

Really ice as far north as you we are up for at least 16in prob more:sad1:
We already have over 3 feet of snow on the ground right now. They are expecting 6-12 inches before the ice.... then going back to snow. It is early still but this looks like it is gonna be nasty.

I wish we would get some of that snow without the ice though. I think all we are expected to get out of this monster storm is rain. :sad2:

"I'll take a foot of snow please...and hold the ice."

Did I really hear you just ask this question???:lmao::lmao::lmao:

By the way, the big momma's are moving up down here, we keep getting cold fronts that push them off the beds, but a MAJOR migration will be occurring next couple of weeks. Oh, I can't wait:banana: (I'm talking about fish guys, just thought I should clarify that:headache:)

Three feet on the ground?:scared1: This place would shut completely down if that happened. I hear ya on the ice though, I used to hate an ice storm when I lived where they were a problem. Snow I can handle, Ice (and that's a lot of it they're expecting) was a whoooole nother animal:mad:
