yes, jb weld. i was just in a house last week. the homeowner used a product like jb weld but made for water lines. he fixed the leak about 2 months ago. him and his wife went to atlantic city for a weekend. there kids called, the guy we lives next door noticed water coming out of there bilko door in the basement. the fix job blew off, flloded the basement to the top!! the water co had to shut the water off. the foundation pushed, ruined the finished basement. they have to jack the house up, redo the foundation and set the house back down. replace the entire basement stuff. i was there to messure up for heat and a/c. this was a 500k house, the guy drive a bmw 700 series. he didnt want to pay a plumber $150.00 to fix his leak. water can do alot of damage. a broken toilet tank in the 2nd floor of a house broke, the entire 1st floor ceiling fell onto the 1st floor of the house. ruin a grand piano and all the furnishings. the house had to be gutted. all ways shut your main water valve off if your going on vacation or going to be away for a while.:thumbsup2
:scared1: Like I said, I've never used it for internal plumbing and never woruld... but if Barry wants to he can. It really is a pretty handy tool though, almost better than duck tape.:rotfl2:

:lmao: i had a guy tell me one time, well if i burn it down, than my homeowners insurance can pay someone to do to right.:lmao:

An old friend of mine from high school is married to Lee Unkrich, who won an Academy Award tonight for Toy Story 3. She just posted this Facebook update. I thought I'd share, because it made me literally laugh out loud:

Guest [she refers to her as "Guest" in these contexts, because all of the awards invitations get sent to her husband, "and Guest"] sat down at her table at the Governor's Ball. They asked for her ticket and she said, "Talk to the guy with that Oscar."

Wow, you have some friends in high places! So, does Pixar have any openings? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Does anyone else think that AJRitz sounds like Bryant Gumble?!? Nicely Done.

:lmao::lmao: I really need to listen to it now.

I need to get in on that. I never seem to turn it early enough to watch it live though, so I really don't want any spoilers.

We're having fun with the Amazing Race, even though I doubt either of us is saying anything memorable. That's one of the nice things about FB, though--it can be a sort-of virtual sports bar when you're all watching the same thing.

I'm not giving up yet. A good night's sleep and a shower (in the kid's bathroom) and I'm ready to tackle that thing again!

Oh boy. Everybody look for a mushroom cloud over Wisconsin later today. :rolleyes1

Listened to the Podcast this morning on the ride into work. Awesome job guys. You all sounded like you had been doing this for quite a while, not just first timers.

Plumbing: I have the good fortune to live next door to a guy who owns /operates a commercial plumbing business. He's helped me out a few times and I very much appreciate what he is able to do versus, what damage I would do. :thumbsup2

FreezinRafiki: Should I be worried about tremors in the Chicago area, or are you expecting it to be more locallized? :rotfl2:

Amazing Race on Facebook: I'm still not sure if its funny or just plain sad that I read along with the Amazing Race "blog" while watching it on TiVo a couple hours after airing? :confused3 I do find myself laughing with/at the comments when I see the part of the show they are referring to. Also I try to be careful about reading too far ahead not wanting any spoilers.

A while back a Dad was doing tshirts and commenting on them here. What was the website you used? Looking at making some Disdad shirt with the new logo.

Not sure if that was me or not. I use amymickey.com for the iron-on transfer sheets for all of my customized Disney-related T-shirts. They are blank and you print to them with your printer, then iron-on a shirt. They work very well.

But you may be speaking about someone who used a service that takes your design and puts them on a shirt for you. :confused3

BT, I was talking about an online ordering place that takes your design, ie. cafepress.com but with cheaper prices. Shirts were almost $24 apiece there. Was going to take the Disdads logo and put it on a shirt for my trip in October.

Holly CRUD!!!! I must be thirty pages behind! :headache:

Work has been an absolute nightmare for a while. The end-of-year process and prep for the new reporting year have been particularly nasty this time around. Today is the first time in nearly two months that I’ve had a chance to even catch a breath. Hopefully I’ll be able to actually keep up now.

First: Welcome to the new folks. Glad to have you along.

Pod-Cast: I’ll have to try to listen to this tonight if I get a chance. It sounds like y’all did a good job for a first effort.

Aqua-Duck: Looking forward to trying this out in June. I’m glad to see that DCL loosened up on the height policy. It wasn’t going to be a problem for us as my DS easily meets the old qualifications, but it will let a lot of the younger kids have a chance now.

Plumbing: I’ll replace a fixture in a heartbeat, but I will call in an expert if a torch is involved. The “Sharkbite” fixtures sound interesting though. I’ll have to look into that when we start into out next project.

T-shirts: I’d forgotten about those. I might just need to look into getting one as well.

I’ve also noticed that there are several of y’all that are having to deal with some rather difficult health and family issues. Sorry to hear that anyone is having a hard time. We’ll keep each of you in our thought down this way.

I'm not much of a plumber, my last project involved chewing gum, duct tape and several of those twistie tie things that come with trash bags. But the garbage disposal is still hangin on :yay:

I was just wondering if you disarmed any bombs today with a q-tip a bottle of hand lotion and a jar of pickle juice there MacGyver?

I am heading to the World at the end of May, and was thinking about doing a DisDad's Shirt as well!

unfortunately no, my wife does not allow me to be around anything that may explode, catch on fire, cause dismemberment, power tools or silly putty

My mom has this sweet embroidery machine that can take images and convert them into embroidery patterns. I'm gonna see if she can do something with the new DisDads logo on a polo shirt. She makes a dozen or so shirts for my wife every year prior to the school year. My wife loves them.

Have you thought about taking orders? I would love to have a nice polo shirt with the DIS Dads logo embroidered on it.

Let me see what she can do and I'll get back with you.

I was just kidding but if she would that would be awesome. Yes please let me know what she can do with it.

New logo? I think I missed something. Is there an image posted somewhere?
