She just had that star complex instead of realizing it was an ensemble show, not the star vehicle she wanted, so she brought it on herself. That and too many pantsuits trying to look like a man. Betty and Rue were much more lady like - and vixens in their own, old lady way.

Personally I loved Estelle (Sophia) the best. Just such a wonderfully sarcastic little bitty. But Betty (Rose) sure could tell some fascinating stories!

Mrs. Howell, now she was something - always prepared, and just soooo much of a princess, not really able to do for herself. That wealth sure went to her head I guess. Kind of figure too, that she would have been more of a Ginger in her youth than a MaryAnn.


And then there was Julie, your Cruise Director on that great big ship of love... she was pretty hot, when I was a kid, always there with her clip board, ready to give her guests a good time.

Another one who was hot in her youth was Lucille Ball - but even until the end, she had some gorgeous gams. There aren't too many out there that could pull off an upper thigh-length slit in their dress at age of 77 in front of a massive tv audience - and receive a standing O, only to revel in showing off her legs.
