I suspect that I better actually put in a serious day's work (after spending the better part of yesterday hanging around here), but I have no doubt y’all will have no trouble filling the pages. I’ll check is every then and again (in hopes of just keeping up).

But, good as those may be, they’re generally not what’s being sold for $10 bucks at most ballparks. The question isn’t: “Is there a beer worth $10”, there most certainly are, the question is: “Is there an American beer available at a ballpark concession stand that’s worth $10 bucks (without having simply giving in to thirst extortion by the venue )”.

WOW I dont visit for two weeks and it takes me twenty minutes to find you guys on the next thred. It took me even longer to catch up. I have missed the banter. We are really down now after being home for a month. the kids are always asking when we can go back. We dont have a trip planed and I think that that is the worst part.

Seriously though I hear you (and my DDs) about us not having a trip planned.

Me three.
Squeaker asks when we're going back to Disney World almost every day. After being terribly ride-shy for much of our trip, NOW he says he wants to try just about every ride.

Me four.

But, I'm reading Kingdom Keepers, so, it's LIKE being at WDW. I have a pretty good imagination when it comes to reading. And, the WDW pix help a lot. Not that either of those things help me enjoy a plaza ice cream sundae or a good Dole Whip, but, it's still kind of nice.
Thanks for posting about the sandals. I'm usually not a "sandal" kind of guy, but those keens (?) look close enough to real shoes that I'd consider them.

I finally cracked the top 20!

The local fire dept and EMTs were even out there - it was cool!

We love doing things like this. It is always a good feeling when we some boy scouts turn 14 and want to be junior FF's, because they met us at on of their retreats.

I just made plans to meet a friend for lunch on the NW side of Indy at noon tomorrow. Just thought I'd see if either of you would be available for a quick meet if I did a loop or partial loop around 465 on the way to/from lunch.

Dads.....drum roll please.....I got the job....

Ok, let me elaborate, I got a verbal offer and was told that a proposal, including start date (either Mid-May or Early June) in the next week or so.

Salary is exactly where I was before losing my old job back in June.

We are extremely excited, but are holding back on full on celebrations until I have the written offer in hand, that and DW's boss approves her transfer to Orlando.

DW decided to scrap the Fed job in Indy due to concerns over future budgets. It just doesn't seem as secure as it once was.

So, I guess I may actually be taking on the role of DisDad Welcome Mat.

Mind you, while I should be looking into homes, I think I'll start by researching annual passes as well as planning our visits in a way as to not kill the magic by giving into temptation and going over board......

I've asked that many times. Luckily, we're on spring break this week, so I'm actually able to keep up, for now at least. Come Monday, I'll be way behind again.

Let me get you up to speed them (this is how I see the day going)...

Lot's of talk about sports, girls with yankee underwear, a lot of random quotes from Stopher, someone's gonna need some prayers, and oh, maybe even a new dad joins.

I know our county fair has a booth that sells pineapple whips which are basically pineapple flavored ice cream... I know that booth always has a big line and my wife loves them, but I don't. I've always figured the Dole Whips were about the same thing, but I'm definitely going to keep an open mind and try one this time.

I think yesterday had to set a record for most posts in one day !!

I work with a guy who raises chickens and then sells them. He told me a story about how he was at an auction one time and some guy bought a truckload of chickens. He was trying to be nice and help this guy carry all these crates of chickens out to his truck. The guy starts telling him how excited he is that he got such a good deal and asks how many eggs he should expect to get out of them.
"Well, none. They're all roosters."
