Dads.....drum roll please.....I got the job....

Ok, let me elaborate, I got a verbal offer and was told that a proposal, including start date (either Mid-May or Early June) in the next week or so.

Salary is exactly where I was before losing my old job back in June.

We are extremely excited, but are holding back on full on celebrations until I have the written offer in hand, that and DW's boss approves her transfer to Orlando.

DW decided to scrap the Fed job in Indy due to concerns over future budgets. It just doesn't seem as secure as it once was.

So, I guess I may actually be taking on the role of DisDad Welcome Mat.

Mind you, while I should be looking into homes, I think I'll start by researching annual passes as well as planning our visits in a way as to not kill the magic by giving into temptation and going over board......

OXAR THAT IS AWESOME!!!! Congrats friend!!:yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay:

Congratulations! Although I don't understand this whole "overboard" business. If I were working in Orlando, I imagine I would be heading over to Epcot or DTD for lunch every day I could.

Yes they make eggs, but their egg laying life is only about 3 years then they become grill fodder. I'd have a hard time given our kids "pets" that they have to decapitate every 3 years.

They might surprise you. My DW's parents raised pigs, and DW and her sister named two piglets the parents brought home "Bacon" and "Ham". Also, my DDs get a kick out of it when I serve them fish on the Little Mermaid plates.

Wouldn't being a woman would negatively impact his status as a disdad? :confused3

Well, we do try to be an inclusive group... :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao:
Suit yourself (so to speak).

Is there such a thing as an American beer that’s worth $10 bucks a cup?

There are many that I would MUCH rather pay $10 for at a ballpark than the stuff they generally serve there for that price.

Top of the morning DisDads :surfweb:

I have to travel to a customer today so I figure by the time I get back we will be on page 70????

Only if you're gone for less than an hour or two... more than that and we'll likely be in triple digits.

First things first: the re-vamped Lego Store at Downtown Disney is open! :woohoo: Check out the jaw-dropping Lego sculpture of Prince Phillip battling Maleficent the dragon:

Let them, huh?

I can tell you it would be pretty hard to keep "them" out :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

BTW Mark... did you see the pics I posted just for you? Hmmm? If not, you MUST go back and read through from about page 33 or 34 I think and find them.

Maybe I should say "barely tolerate". :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I guess you're right. Our membership "requirements" are flexible, to say the least. ;)

And yes, I did see all of the WL pictures when I was surfing the net on my iPod last night. I'll go back and pick out some favorites--it's a beverly of a task to try and quote or post replies on that little thing. Thanks for posting all of them! :thumbsup2 <-- thumb

:thumbsup2 Ok! I don't have to work tomorrow and I really don't have any plans for most of the afternoon. I just had to meet up with him to get a golf club so I figured since I've got a few free hours we might be able to swing something.

:scared1: I don't think Stopher would take kindly to you swinging a golf club at him.

Yeah, I love orange flavored things. I think I will definitely get one of those orange floats.

That's 2 strikes though... I don't like cheeseballs and never tried a Dole Whip. I'll just have to make up for that with my bacon intake.
You can make up for a lot of things with bacon. The thought of eating a salad got you down, put bacon on it. Baked Potatoes seem bland, put bacon on it. Question Dr. Adkins advice, eat a pound of bacon...

:rotfl::rotfl: When I was in college I brought my little sister a huge pet rabbit, on the condition she name it "dinner". In elementary school she loved bringing her friend over to show them "dinner".

Almost feels like I'm there. Great shots.

The Christmas decorations just really seem to fit perfectly at this resort, don't they?

It doesn't look like we're going to be able to meet up, but if you'd ever seen me swing a golf club, you'd know there's nothing to fear.

Unless you're a tree on the righthand side of the fairway.:lmao::rotfl2:

Congratulations! As someone who has gone long amounts of time without work and even moved nearly 2,000 miles to find some I understand some of what you were going through!
