Why would it be controversial?

It would only be controversial if some people make it so. This is world news, current events and cultural news. On the DIS we say to the various people who observe these events: Happy Easter, Merry Christmas, Happy Passover, and Happy Rosh Hashanah.

We have also had MANY previous Pope /religious threads on the CB without them becoming controversial or delving into religious debate: Not a single one of these threads below were closed down.

It's an even sadder day for the country and the world. We don't live alone on this planet, but it is getting dumber by the minute.
