Nope, just me and the kids! I'd like to make them match even more for our next trip. When we all had on the same color we got the most remarks. Even if it wasn't the same design, the shirt colors matching got noticed. He will wear the same color shirt, just not a t-shirt. (ie red polo when we wear red t-shirts).

Good morning/afternoon, DDA'ers! :flower:

I'm trying to catch up and work at the same time - you guys had a bit of a posting party last night!

Me - we went to see Jim Brickman last night. If you like him, or just piano music, I highly recommend you see him in concert! He was FABULOUS! We were actually supposed to see him in early December for more of a Christmas concert, but wouldn't you know it, that night we had an ice storm in the Dallas metroplex! And since we're in Texas and wimps when it comes to winter weather, there was no way we were traipsing across town. However, the great part - since over 75% of the audience wasn't able to make it that night, he just said - "I'll come back" - and they honored all of our old tickets - so we still got to see him 5th row center!

How much fun!! I love Jim Brickman too ::yes::

My husband won tickets and a meet & greet for one his previous tours...best anniversary present...sweetest man and adorable looking also!! (my husbands pretty cute too!! :cutie: )

Jim has a new cd out of his take on Disney music....most is very VERY good...I only had a problem with one song...not my style.

That's entirely possible, since DH likes to spend my birthday reminding me that I'm 15 months older than he is. Pretty sad, huh? Oh well.

Not just mine then! That's what we get for marrying toy boys :rotfl:

I absolutely agree about the matching part...we matched every day..and I believe that's why we had so many comments. I also liked it because I could easily keep track of all the kids.

I would have never guessed dh would be willing to wear these t's...he said, "I'll wear whatever you lay out" Imagine the fun I had with that! :teeth:

EXACTLY! I'm sitting here looking at my designs from December. There are 3 sets I can re-use (no dates). I won't make that mistake again (the dates). Although the kids got new costumes from Santa (Jasmine, Power Rangers) so I'll probably edit those anyway to add the new pictures on them.

I also want a new shirt for the proposed MGM Pixar character breakfast and maybe another new MGM one with Fantasmic and some of the other MGM faves (Playhouse Disney, etc).

Let the fun begin! I'm sitting here going back and forth on shirt colors and it's 11 months away. Although when I went to buy shirts in Oct/Nov I had a horrible time finding short sleeve shirts (we layered). I'd rather get them now and save them for this next trip.

Only color I'm having a hard time finding is RED for girls. Anyone seen red girl shirts (size 6/7 or small)?
Denise - Wal-mart is starting to get their shirts in - I HIGHLY reccomend to you all that you only get these!!! The hanes stay clean repels stains like you would not beleive!!!!!!

The Wal-Mart brand is also pretty cute and has a nice fit and they are on ly $2.83

I have used both and they are my favorites -

oh - except for the old navy ringer tees for the boys -but if you can get a ringer tee at wal-mart i wold reccomend that

I was hoping after he saw all the fun and attention you 4 had he would change his mind. Party pooper! (oops!)

We always matched. My dh was a good sport about it too, Kristine. The biggest hit I think was the Mickey head tiedyes. If you have the time and the willpower, make some of those.

I figure that since men are supposed to die earlier than women their own age, then perhaps we can just go together and neither one of us will be left on their own. Maybe?

Thanks for the tip! I'm going there later, Denise, I'll check for red if you want me to. Even though my kids don't have a Disney trip for a while (hee hee), I'll probably make them some shirts for the spring. Perhaps some Easter stuff. They'd love that. They've worn out the shirts from our September trip. Time for something new.

Give a little whistle...

Bobs Your Uncle, Clare

:rotfl: You just reminded me - I was talking to one of my friends at work today who I haven't seen for a while and right in the middle of a sentence she actually said Bob's your uncle!

I can't even remember what she said - I just instantly thought about you guys :goodvibes

I would really like to make these...but it looks a tad overwhelming to me.

Regarding the walmart shirts...are these the regular short sleeve? Do most people just layer these over a long sleeve then for the colder months in WDW?

Between the 2 of us, hopefully we covered everything!

You sure did ::yes:: thanks guys! It's really different from how we split our school levels up over here. I was always most confused by the freshman and junior years - but have it all straight in my head now

Yes, we just layered shirts, and it worked perfectly! Then the kids can wear the shirts year round. Some days it was so warm we wore just the t-shirts and shorts, and some days we had on long sleeve t's underneath with jackets. You have to pack for every scenario. BTW, love the new pic!

We made Mickey tie dyes for our May 2004 trip (long before the DDA even started :) ). They definitely got us attention, and I could find everyone so easily the days that we wore the tie dyes. Unfortunately, dd has already told me that she will NOT wear tie dye to Disney again. She didn't like the comments that the CM's made, such as "Sir, you are supposed to separate your whites and color when you do the wash." "Oh, oh looks like you let dh (or the kids) do the laundry." I personally thought it was a blast, and I'm not even that outgoing. So no tie dyes this trip.

I do plan to make shirts. I'm hoping that I can convince everyone to match colors, etc. But if she starts getting comments, she may rebel. I also have a ds who will be 15 for the trip, so rebellion from him is also somewhat expected. Dh will most likely go along with whatever I ask in this case.

that's a great idea!!

Can my Kids Disney Fund be my favorite Charity?!?!? :teeth:

I have one in mind - my husband sits on the board of a local charity that goes into high schools to educate high school students about adoption. There are birth parents, adoptive parents & adoptees who go in an discuss their experiences with the students. The goal is to teach them that if they ever get pregnant or one of their friends does that this is another option available to them.

I will talk to my husband about setting up a page for them

Sounds more than worthwhile - glad you liked the idea ::yes::
