ATTENTION DDA'ERS!!!

Disney will open up 2007 bookings beginning today (Wednesday June 28th). You will have to book the package using the BASIC PLAN (without tickets) and then covert to Magic Your Way package when they come available in mid August.

The Basic Plan is basically room only, but at least it's a package that can be converted. :thumbsup2

Thanks Kate. I will take you up on that. I understand what you mean about planning your vacations. That is why I've been on eBay shopping, spending lots of time on this board, etc. Trying to keep my mind occupied so that I don't think about what "could" be wrong with Chuck and what it means to our future. I went & worked with one of my staff yesterday because I figured it was better than trying to do paperwork which doesn't keep my mind occupied enough. I think I'll go off and work with another one today.

I took Nick and got his hair buzzed yesterday - I love it but he looks so old to me now!!!!

this picture isn't great b/c he was eating crackers and really would have preferred to show you all the chewed crackers in his mouth than his smile!!!

He looks cute! I love it when little boys have short hair. Wait until he gets to where he wants to spike it up in front with hair gel!

The highlight of this viewing spot is a beautiful and elegant dessert buffet. Wine and coffee are served around the chocolate fountain and other sweets. Sounds like a dessert lover's dream come true!

Newest update...

My dad was at the hospital today talking to Alex's wife. Alex had surgery today to repair his kidneys, liver, took out the spleen, inserted 2 chest tubes, did a urostomy because the urinary system is damaged. He is still on ventilator and they will be doing a trach this week. They put in a feeding tube. They found out today that he has broken cervical vertabrae. He is in a coma still, they think it is partly medically induced. He does realize when there were people in the room. My dad and his wife were talking and Alex's heartrate spiked-so they think he is reacting to the surrounding noise. The nurse tried to limit visitors to just family and the wife said no . She said the firemen need to see him and that as long as they do not make noise, she thinks they should be able to go in. They are not doing anything about his ribs, pelvis, or lung right now. They are seeing how he reacts to the surgery and it is a wait and see to see what the next step is. The wife also told my dad that we shouldnt be guilty that he was coming to our house. She was glad it happened where it did where we had so many EMTs, firefighters, and cops..He is considered in critical condition still

Tonight, in my public speaking class, my brother wrote a speech about the events of this weekend. The entire class was quiet, he was shaking reading it, and i was crying in the back of the room. The entire family, firemen and ours, is having a rough time. I failed a test today in a class that i got a 97 and 100 on the other tests.. i talked to the professor and he hugged me and told me not to worry about it that i would still get a good grade...Im still not eating or sleeping very well.. My brother said that he cant sleep because he keeps hearing the little girl saying "please help me, i want to get out of here"
Thank you ALL so much for your thoughts and prayers..I will keep you all updated if you would like..We all appreciate it so much!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to you all Jen! Please do keep us updated on your friends. You are all in our prayers. :grouphug: :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard:

So we had an eventfulevening. Zachary jumped off the top of the playground and mislanded on his arm. Apparently he was trying to do a super hero trick. :confused3 We went to the urgent care clinic and had several x-rays and :sad2: Zachary had broke his arm. They put a splint on and I have to call the fracture clinic tomorrow to get him in as soon as possible to get a cast. :sad1: Of course, I'll have to explain to him that he can't go swimming and do certain things with his brothers on our trip. (He's our resident dolphin who loves swimming and waterparks.)
He's not going to deal well with that. :guilty: At least, it was his right arm and he's left handed so there is a bright side. (Trying to work on my positive mentality)

God is good.
All the time God is good. (this is a lesson I am working on in faith and trust :goodvibes )

Poor thing! I hope that everything will heal quickly and nicely. If they haven't already put on a waterproof cast do a google search about covers. I know there are a few out there that go over the cast to protect it for swimming, showering, etc. It might be worth it for a little dolphin like yours! :wizard: that he is feeling okay.

When I talked with her last night, she didn't say. But she has a boil that one of the doctors is going to cut out today, so she will be in the hospital for a couple of days.

Ouch! Been there (twice :( )and I totally understand. I hope that she is feeling better today and on her way home soon. :wizard: :grouphug:

I always loved it when my boys were young and would get the teddy bear cut. Made their life easier.

Hello Everyone

Our camping trip at Stone Mountain was great!!! We had a couple of rain showers but nothing we couldn't handle. It was a good thing we had the pool because some days it went up into the high 90's!!!

I also have a prayer request.....My brother (Don) had a mild heart attack yesterday and is in the hospital. This is my younger brother who is only 38 years old. He is having a heart cath done this morning to see if there is any blockages. If there are some blocked arteries then he will be transported to Emory for angioplasty. I will let ya'll know when I have an update.

p.s. Jo........you should receive your money by Thursday. Sorry it took so long.

Lynn

Welcome back. I'm glad that you had a great trip! It sounded like fun.

Prayers for your brother that everything is looking up and he is now healing. :grouphug: :wizard:

Good question. Off the top of my head today I can't think of anything, but give me a few and I will see what I can think of.

GLYNIS?????? Any ideas?

I've been wracking my brain to and can't come up with anything either. The only statues other than the Partners that I can really think of are the Bug's Life characters in DCA. Oh and there's the Dumbo ride vehicle outside that ride. Oh wait, what about Mr Toad's car...that would be unique to DL though it is missing sometimes.

I need to rethink my costume ideas now for MNSSHP. Anyone have any suggestions for my mom, myself, Nicholas and Alyssa?

I just booked my Disneyland package!!!!!

I am so excited -

we arrive on wednesday night and leave Sunday
we will go to the parks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
I think we will do early entry on Thursday morning at the MK - and then spend Friday at California - with Saturday open -

Steve's best friend will probably come meet us there on Saturday -

Friday night is the Halloween party - I am wondering if we should do that - ahs anyone ever been to the DL halloween party? It is $20 a person - I will have to think about it!

we are staying at the Radisson- it is a purely financial decision - a hotel is a hotel to me and it was $100 cheaper than any other options b/c it had the 4th night free!!!

we get a free character breakfast so I think we will go to Goofy's kitchen unless you all tell me not to

Julia and I will probably do the princess breakfast on Friday morning while the boys go do something else -

I have to go buy a guidebook - any suggestions?!?!

I am so EXCITED!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yeah!! I think the Halloween party is new at DL or at least returning. I think they did it for awhile, then turned it into a CM and families kind of thing. If you like Passporter, I think they have a DL/SoCal version now. I would definitely go to Goofy's Kitchen with your free breakfast. It is so good and a lot of fun. There is a great variety of characters there usually and the good is delicious. It is expensive too so a good use of the free pass. Basically, for DL use a lot of the same theories you would use for MK at WDW. At DCA, FP Soarin, ToT and CAScreamin and you should be good otherwise. Don't miss the Electric Parade if it is running or the fireworks. They may both only run on the weekends so check early to make sure you can hit them right.

well folks, I am 50 pages behind and have another packed day. So PD and prayers for all who need it, Congrats for all the great things and hello to all.

If I missed anything that you want to share, I will do my best to keep up now.

Have a great day. :sunny:
