WOW a morning P4! How cool is that!!! Not the same as morning ODTT but I'll take what I can get. :teeth:

Hi! I'm sorry I've fallen behind on sending lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: and :cheer2: to all my DDA friends and your families!

Pregnancy-wise everything is fine. All those weird feelings I had last Sunday have passed. My next doctor's appointment is June 22nd.

Everything else is just hectic though. I am trying to adjust to our new schedule that includes swimming lessons every morning at 10:35 a.m. for the next three weeks. We've "survived" three days and let me just say my two-year-old spends the entire half-hour crying. I'm thinking it's because the water is pretty chilly that early in the morning, and I'm hoping if I just stick with it, she's going to come around at some point. It's a "parent and baby" class, so she's with me the whole time...she's just miserable.

Kevin has had a pretty busy work-week thus far, and when he gets home, he's trying to take care of maintaining both yards, painting the nursery, etc. I feel bad that I can't help him more, and I know he misses spending time with us. Last night, I ended up taking Alyssa to the local aquarium with one of my friends and her three kiddos. I feel guilty that we're out having fun, but I'd go crazy if I just hung around the house all night.

Thanks for all your compliments on the pictures I posted over the weekend. Here's another one from last night. Kate, that dress should look familiar! I thought it was an appropriate outfit for the aquarium. :teeth:

Thinking of you all! Thanks to Dawn and Paula for your awesome synopsis and acknowledgement of EVERYONE! :thumbsup2

And before I go, here's some more :wizard: and :grouphug: and :cheer2: for you all!

Amy :)

WOW. I wish we found out our teachers this early. We don't find out until the week before school starts in the fall.

The kids had step up day on Tuesday where they got to go to their new classrooms and meet the teachers and students. They came home very excited because now they know where the classroom is and who will be in it with them. I think that they both have good placements for next year.
They came home very wound up today. Both had outstanding report cards. Nick had several A+ and all of Hunter's grades (no letter grades for that age) were way above his grade level. I couldn't be more proud of them.

Wow that is wonderful that they did so well in school! :thumbsup2 I wish our school would let you meet next years teachers..sounds like a great way to get the kids ready...we get a letter at the end of the year with the teacher & classroom assignments. We all get out mail anywhere between 1 -4 pm in our neighborhood..as soon as the mail comes that day with "the letter" all the phones start ringing around here..all the kids are calling each other to see if they are in the same class as each other!

Just popping in to say hi & sending pixie dust to everyone who could use it right now!

I went bathing suit shopping today...so I am not in a good mood now & won't be for the rest of the day. :furious:

I ended up with a standard black bathing suit. I wear a tee shirt over it anyway because I get so crispy in the sun so I didn't want to spend alot on a suit no one really sees but boy I really need to stick to my ww's..man, that was scary looking at myself in the mirror! :scared: :rotfl2:

I'm glad the the kids know where they are going to be placed with and who is going to be in their classes. Both Nick and Hunter will be separated from their best friends next year so we have all summer to encourage new relationships with kids that we know will be in their classes. This will be extremely beneficial for Nick as it takes him a long time to get comfortable with people. One of the boys from Cub Scouts that has similar family types and they seem to enjoy similar activies. His Mom and Myself have devoted the summer to getting them together as they will both benefit from having a new best friend. They do like each other so hopefully that will work and next years transition won't be so bad.

That is a great idea.

I'm headed off to get ready for work. Hopefully it will be busy as at least the night would fly by. I'm still dealing with the sore throat and Post Nasal Drip so busy would definately be good. Hopefully I'll get to bed early tonight so if I don't check in later have a great night.

Deb

DEB,

Hope you feel better & can get some rest when you get back home tonight.

YEAH!!!! The only problem with promotion days is if you've got the new teacher that hasn't made it from Ohio yet!! :teeth: I was just thrilled Abi didn't have Cassidy's 5th grade teacher and the other one is not a favorite of mine either, we were disappointed the 3rd 5th grade teacher went back down to the lower grade as she is one of Abi's favorites. Oh well I just hope it's not a completely new teacher as we haven't had very good luck with first year teachers.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

I feel better now!

The doctor just called - Nick's heartbeat was fine - but there was an irregularity in the test that was either caused by a test lead being in the wrong position or an enlarge heart chamber! He is our regular doctor but not the one who ordered the test - so he is going to leave it up to her on if we should have the test repeated or not - *** - the hospital offered to repeat it at no charge to the customer - why wouldn't I get it repeated?!?!!?!?

He is very laid back - which is nice b/c he isn't an alarmist - BUT he also is slow to action - I never go see him when I want action taken (such as getting tubes for Julia etc) I love him and my kids love him and he stops me from freaking out about things but there are times I wish he would act a little faster.

I am sure the other doctor will have us repeat the test - so I guess I am going to be playing the waiting game a little bit longer!!!

Boy Kate, I'm sorry to hear this. First it was you playing the wait and see game. Now it is poor Nick.

Don't worry Tammi -

Steve and I are laughing about it too!!! But I feel horrible for how he reacted to it - I never thought that he would be so traumatized by it!!

And it was pretty effective at keeping him in bed!!! ;)

Any thing that works :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hello All! I miss "seeing" all of you, but just don't spend much time on the computer lately!

I am sending a big "Hey Y'all!" and lots of Prayers Pixie Dust and congrats!

Hang in there with Nick, Kate, I am sure he will be fine!

Is anyone on here doing the Disney 1/2 marathon in January? (or the whole?) Seems like this is where I got the bug! So anyway, I ahave been working out a ton and running and DH and I are signed up. Anyone else?????
