Take the tooth!!!!!! But I think it is pretty common for her to save it for sentimental reasons!!! ;)

Thanks, everyone. Now let me ask you...does the tooth fairy take the tooth or leave it?

She, (I believe the tooth fairy is a fairy named Caroline) :lmao: takes the tooth & leaves $ in it's place.

If y'all can stand any more posts from me tonight, I'd like to do an unofficial poll.

We're down to 2 names and I'm interested to know which you like better and how many girls you know with these names. I checked the popular baby name lists and they're #22 and #82 (out of 100).

Anyway, the two names are Caroline and Lauren. The middle name is Elizabeth. Our last name will go well with all of them. I don't want to post it here but if you can't choose without knowing, PM me :teeth: .

One name is DH and Christopher's favorite. The other is my favorite.

I love the name Lauren. That was one of my choices for a boy or girl :goodvibes Chris didn't like it as well. I can't think of any Lauren's around here. Hunter did have a friend named Caroline though.

I like Lauren Elizabeth best. It justs sounds better rolling off the tongue. I don't know any Lauren's myself. I know many Carol's but I don't know any Caroline's.

I've never heard it pronounced Carolynn when it's spelled Caroline. Are you sure those people aren't really named Carolyn(n)? I'll have to ask Julie if she has problems with it because she has a Caroline. It's like the Neil Diamond song, Sweet Caroline.

I get mad when people call Christopher Chris. I figured his friends would do it but it's adults we have the problem with!! GRRR!!!!

PS I still like Tammi too :teeth:
Needless to say I will not be showing this unofficial poll to Brian!

Julie calls her little girl Carli - so I am pretty sure she doesn't have a problem with people calling her Carolyn!! ;)

I never thought about the different spellings - but I can tell you - it will not matter to people -

Julia's teacher still calls her Julie sometimes - even though Julia asked me to walk her into school one day so that I could make sure that her teacher knew her name!!!

Sorry that we didn't back you up - you should have been more clear about which way you wanted us to vote -

if you like I can change my answer:

I LOVE CAROLINE!! It is class and elegant and I love the C & C initials!! I think you would be CRAZY to call your child Lauren when she will have 20 other Lauren's in her Kindergarten class!!

:rotfl2: That's what I thought but then my mother said she leaves it. But with the way my kid sleeps, it would be lost forever.

When I was a kid...the tooth fairy always took the tooth. My kids always want to keep them, so they write a note to the tooth fairy asking if they can keep it...I always sprinkle a bit of glitter where the note was...they get a kick out of it.

Welcome back, Bernadette! I can't wait to hear about your trip.

Don't give up on me yet. I still want to do a trip report.

You, and Phil and Terra, have been in my thoughts and prayers. I really wish I could do more for you but the 50 miles might as well be 500 the way my life is right now. I am feeling so stressed and like a bit of a looser for feeling so stressed. Phil is so lucky to have you! I am not as patient/understanding with my DH and he's driving me crazy lately. He went to the beach last week and dropped his brand new cell phone in the ocean. He had it in a Tshirt pocket and then of course it became my problem because I can't leave him at home with 3 kids without a cell phone so I had to give him mine and he can't handle going to the Verizon store to fix it. I went to the Verizon store to get it fixed and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the repair. I called him to let him know it would take that long and then called him at 8pm to tell him it was all fixed (they did it for free!) and he told me he hadn't fed the kids yet. :confused3 I just feel like my life is a bit out of control. He's not at all lazy but he just can't function and if I try to say anything to him he acts like I'm trying to attack him personally. I'm hoping things will improve next year with more of a schedule-Joe & Lizzie in school full days and Emma in preschool 3 mornings. I'm anxious for the school year to be over so I can get to work early and get home earlier.

Hope Phil finds some more answers and hope you can move closer to your family soon. My SIL lives in St Louis-maybe I could meet up with you there. :rotfl:

Today was my youngest's graduation from preschool  Instead of caps & gowns they do a circus. My little one was a tightrope walker. She was so proud of her costume. The teachers help her sew her own skirt & she had a crown with flowers on it & a parasol she made as well...So cute. So no more preschool for us. The teachers & the director of the school are so wonderful, I am going to miss them all..I have been going there for 6 years straight with all 3 kids & it's going to be weird in September not to be up there anymore.

It's been a hectic day so I haven't had a chance to read all the posts I missed but I just wanted to say "Hi" to all!!!!
That sounds really cute!

Oh, Kristine, thanks for reminding me. I think tinkerbell left some pixie dust around here from our trip in December. ;) I'll have to dig it out.

Dawn -- I am VERY impressed with your mass posting! I don't think you missed anyone on the Board... :rotfl:

Okay. I need my DDA enablers, er friends right about now... :cloud9: :cloud9:

I'm having such a year. I need my Disney fix sooner than December. I really want to go in December to see the CP and Osborne Lights and MVMCP. But I need to get to Disney before then.

I wanted to go for tinker1bell's birthday again, but that is not to be...

I wanted to go for Food and Wine, but my coworker is going at that time, her first trip and she's taking her 92 y/o mom with her. So October is out. I won't go in July or August no way, no how.

So that leaves September. I could go for my birthday. (3rd week) I called DVC and booked a 2 bedroom villa. I hope that my DD and her family can come with me. I know that my sister could come with me.....

I would still have the family trip in May for my son's 10th wedding anniversary. I just don't think I can make it another 170 days. 93 sounds long enough!!!

What do you think???? Help me!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

All I can say is I know how you feel. We are still like 60 weeks out from our trip and I am having such are hard time. I would love to book something sooner, but I know that it is financially not doable this year. We are saving our points for 3 weeks in July/Aug 2007 and 3 weeks in june/July 2008 and since we will have annual passes I might have to sneak in an October trip for MNSSHP :goodvibes. If I had the points and the money I'd be all over a trip in 93 days. Whatever you decide, have fun planning.

I like Lauren!

why you ask? I like it better with your last name and with Christopher - Christopher and Lauren is easier to say! Try saying Christopher and Caroline when you are mad!! :lmao:

the other reason is also silly - I hate when people say jul-ya for Julia's name - her name is Jul - ee - a - if you go with caroline - you will have to be prepared to not let both pronunciations bother you either caro - lynn and caro - line or be prepared to constantly correct them -

Julia always corrects people - especially if they say Julie - I wouldn't change her name b/c I really love it - but you have to be prepared to deal with that or not let it bother you - and some people do get offended when she corrects them - not sure why since I would think most people would be offended if you said their name wrong!!!

Tammi told me it bothers her when people say nick-laus for her DS instead of Nick - o - las

something to think about!!!

I also like Lauren. Mainly because I teach a Caroline I don't particularly like! :rolleyes1

We named our daughters Kathrin and Kristin so that they would have unique names that would not be shortened. Well, guess what... Kathrin became Kat when she was playing soccer (she is back to Kathrin now) and Kristin gave herself the name "Rissie" because she hates her name. :sad2: We keep telling her that at age 75, an actor with the name of "Rissie" is going to sound really odd... :rotfl: She is still Kristin to us.

It depends on how good a fairy you get that night. :teeth: Sometimes the fairy is in a rush to drop off the money (especially if the tooth is lost late in the day and the child wasn't really on the schedule that night.......).

Some nights it 'almost' seemed as if the tooth fairy had forgotten but then Lizzie found the money in my bathroom.

It's not that I don't like Caroline - I just like Lauren better

oh - and around here (at least the people I know) the pronunciation is carolynn -

and since you seem so sure about how you want it pronounced - you REALLY might want to think about it - b/c I can tell you it will grate on your nerves!!!

I have to agree with Kate. Even though I know that Hunter's friend pronounces her name Carolyn, I always find my self doing the Caroline - Carolyn debate before saying "Hey You" (just kidding I call her Carolyn)

Vicki-I hope Chuck finds relief and answers. I've had shoulders problems in the past and know just how painfull it can be and it is impossible to get away from the pain-for me laying down made it worse. I finally got relief when I got pregnant with Lizzie. I think the hormones worked to loosen things up for me.

I certainly hope Chuck doesn't have to get pregnant! :scared: :scared1: :faint:
