I've never heard it pronounced Carolynn when it's spelled Caroline. Are you sure those people aren't really named Carolyn(n)? I'll have to ask Julie if she has problems with it because she has a Caroline. It's like the Neil Diamond song, Sweet Caroline.

I get mad when people call Christopher Chris. I figured his friends would do it but it's adults we have the problem with!! GRRR!!!!

PS I still like Tammi too :teeth:
Needless to say I will not be showing this unofficial poll to Brian!

You will have the same issue with Caroline. She will be called Carol all the time. I love Caroline as well. Actually when you posted both of them, I had a hard time choosing. I just like the way Lauren sounds with Elizabeth better. Plus, I really don't care for Carol (don't know why).

Thanks, everyone. Now let me ask you...does the tooth fairy take the tooth or leave it?

The tooth fairy takes the tooth at our house. Then they mysteriously appear in the back of my underwear drawer in a baggie! :lmao:

If y'all can stand any more posts from me tonight, I'd like to do an unofficial poll.

We're down to 2 names and I'm interested to know which you like better and how many girls you know with these names. I checked the popular baby name lists and they're #22 and #82 (out of 100).

Anyway, the two names are Caroline and Lauren. The middle name is Elizabeth. Our last name will go well with all of them. I don't want to post it here but if you can't choose without knowing, PM me :teeth: .

One name is DH and Christopher's favorite. The other is my favorite.

I think Lauren Elizabeth sounds better together.

I never thought about the different spellings - but I can tell you - it will not matter to people -

I've got to agree with Kate on that one. I have a friend who is Carolynn who hates when people call her Caroline and it happens a lot.

I really like the middle name. :teeth:

Oh, and we will be having a visit from the tooth fairy tonight. You wouldn't believe how excited Nicholas was to have lost that first tooth!

At our house the tooth fairy takes the tooth, but at our neighbors house if you leave a note asking to keep it the toothfairy will leave it. A tooth goes for $2 here.

Glynis-hope your having a fun family trip! Loved your trip report! You, your Dad and entire family are in my prayers.

OK - I think I just spotted the TF. She put the $ and pixie dust under his pillow, and then put the tooth in the little 'My First Tooth' keepsake thingy on his nightstand, and sprinkled PD there, too. Good?

I certainly hope Chuck doesn't have to get pregnant! :scared: :scared1: :faint:

I'd go for it if I knew it would work. :lmao: Off & on he needs help putting on his socks, drying his back, putting on his shirts & jackets, etc. As the day goes on and the more movement he does, the looser he gets. The hot tub relieves the pain while he is in it but as soon as he gets out, he is back to the same feeling. I'm gone tomorrow for the night for a meeting & to pick Becky up from her leadership conference in Lansing. I'm really worried about leaving him that long. He has one of his staff driving him to a meeting about an hour out of town tomorrow because he doesn't think he can handle the drive on his own.

That sounds perfect. If he hasn't brought the tooth to school yet, I'm sure he will have to bring it tomorrow. My kids always have to bring their teeth to school before show and tell or the tooth fairy can't come.

Before I can judge her performance...
How much money did she leave?

Awesome!!!!!

It looks like Chris has decided that we will not be going to bike week this weekend. He saw how much stress I was under and made the decision for me. I knew there was a reason that I love him so much. Now I'm trying to think of something else for us to do.

Can you take your bikes somewhere else for a trip?

Well, considering it was the first tooth, he's the last in his class to have lost one, and he didn't cry when I yanked it out, it looks like she splurged and left $5. I'm sure the price will drop significantly from here on out.

ETA : He's hoping for $2.

Are the kids still going to your Dad's house??? I think ODTT ought to work for his kindness. ;)

It is so nice to see so many people here tonight! Of course, now that I've said that everyone will run off! :lmao:

You know, it certainly sounds to me like the TF is getting really good at finances. She seems to know exactly what the gonig rate is in any given area these days. Amazing...
