Teresa - I am glad you joined in - and how cool that you and Vicki know each other!!!

Rumors are correct - I went to the doctor today and surgery it is - my doctor isn't a surgeon and in fact - no one in his practice can do the surgery so he is sending me to another surgeon - who will tell me 1 of 3 things

1. Sorry - your knee is too screwed up and I can't help you - let's pray this is not his answer b/c then basically I am screwed and will have to wait until my knee has a total breakdown and I have a knee replacement

2. I will give it a shot but I can't promise you anything - which again could someday result in knee replacement but at least give me a chance at relief and recovery

3. You are the perfect candidate for this surgery and it will fix everything - OBVIOUSLY this is what I would love to hear from him!!!

So that appointment is next Friday morning - so if you all could keep me in your prayers for then

Denise - I hope you get the job - that would be wonderful!!

Paula - leaving your kids gets easier and easier and in the end makes you a better parent!

Kate -- prayers and PD for choice #3. Remember that a second opinion can be a great idea.

Wow this thread is moving tonight. I soo happy, I'm on :cloud9:

Okay so my dentist thinks that the tooth ache I am aving is from my wisdom teeth that have never came in. so I am proablly going to have at least one of them removed in the next few days.

PD to you. When one started bothering my husband, they advised him to have all of them out, which he did so that he wouldn't have to do it again.

I have a question. How loose do you wait for a tooth to get before you pull it? We are approaching a personal milestone here.

It depends on the child. Andrew used to freak if we talked about pulling them when they got very loose, but yet the last tooth bugged him so much that he pulled it out himself.

Good luck!

A little PD for Davis please. He vomited in the middle of dinner (twice- very fun) and is running a 104 fever now. He's missing his class meet at the park tomorrow am now. He's pretty miserable. I just ran down to finally eat some dinner and then I'm headed back to check on him. John's watching Piglet's Big Movie with him right now.

Poor Davis! It is no fun missing fun events! Lots of PD headed his way!!!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Chuck has been really stiff and getting worse for about a month. He went to the doctor today. He has to go back to have some tests. They are looking for lyme disease, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. I sure hope they find something treatable because he has been miserable.

First of all I would like to say that it is great to see everyone posting again. I have missed seeing a lot of you.

:grouphug: To kate for option 3. :grouphug: Denise for the job. :grouphug: Rees for the surgery :grouphug: Davis to have a quick recovery. If I missed anyone specifically then here is some extra :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: :grouphug: just for you ;)

I ended up taking Tiffany to the vet again today. They are confident now that she has the immuno dificiency disease, although they aren't sure which one. Apparently the treatment won't change even if we spend $100s on testing. She will now be on prendisone for the rest of her life. Thankfully it is not an expensive drug and we will be changing the dosage until we find the minumum effective dosage for her. Right now she has white pusicules (is that a word) on her anal area and a big one on the tip of her tongue (that has got to hurt). It will probably take a week or so for the sores to go away. I had our male in the car the the Vet (the new one) agreed to look at him too. She does not think that he is at a point to have him put down which is good news as we have been struggling with that decision. She does however feel that his back legs will completely give out by the end of summer or fall. When that happens we will have no choice but to put him down. He is so mentally aware and wants to be a puppy, but his body is just giving out. She also gave me a prescription for another med which will work in combination with his current arthritis med. I will have to get a price for it at a drug store. Hopefully it isn't too expensive as his current meds are $60/mth already. After the Vet visit I had to completely vacuum my car as it was covered in dog hair :sad2:

The kids are in bed, but Nick keeps getting up complaining that he isn't feeling right. He has had a little cough and has a nasty cold sore in his nose so I won't be surprised if he is sick in the morning. Summer can't get here fast enough for me.

On a bright note, I held our last den meeting of the year tonight. We just have the Pack Picnic on Saturday then we have a break until September. I may try to get them together this summer to do an aquanaut unit, but I'll wait and see on that one. I need to put the awards together before Saturday, but at least I know it is the last time for this year!!! :teeth:

PD to Nick! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: and to Tiffany and your other dog! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks for all the :wizard: . My Dentist said that he could do it, if I went to an oral surgeon They would most proablly take all of them out. I have to call my dentist back and let him no that I am not pregant. as he was afraid to do anything if I was.

Tammi, pull the tooth when it is loose. Otherwise they swallow them when they pop out, especially if he's eating! Rees has swallowed both of his teeth.

Oh, and BK lost her 4th tooth today at the pool. She now has the bottom 2 teeth trying to come in and the top 2 completely gone! Talk about a huge hole in her mouth. She thinks it is really funny. I took a picture. I'll try to post it later.
Zack has swallowed his too. I will have to pull one if I want one for his little baby box. :teeth:

Okay, is it just me or is anyone else excited about Gameshow Marathon on CBS tonight?!? I love game shows, but especially the older ones. I can't wait for Let's Make a Deal and Press Your Luck. Those were always two of my favorites. Oh yeah, and Match Game. The celebrity choices aren't too bad either.

I just wish that I had Game Show Network again! That is the one channel I really miss in our cable lineup.

My mom had that channel and I LOVED it....but I can't justify the amount of money it would be to upgrade to that system....double what is paid now.

Vicki -- the unknown is so scary!

My DH woke up this morning with some kind of bite on his arm. It's now about a 6 inch circle. He went to the dermatologist, and they gave him three prescriptions, but it's still growing. He says it doesn't hurt, so I'm thankful for that.

PD to Chuck and to his doctors.

Apparently the warning that I posted earlier today about cell phone numbers being released to telemarketers was a hoax. I thought it was legitimate as it came from our Parent Teacher Association. Here is a link to the hoax:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/cell411.asp

I guess I'll be safe for the next 5 years anyway since I registered our cell number and reregistered our home phone number. I guess that I forgot you need to reregister every 5 years, so some good came of it anyway.

Sorry again
Deb

Well we've been getting strange # calls and text messages on Cassidy's new phone so it's a good thing to register ours to keep those pesky telemarketer calls. Thanks for the reminder!!
