I've got 9 pages to read and I'm not sure if I'll have time. I just finished the Anniversary Cakes. I am no Betty Crocker, but I think they came out pretty good for a girl that has no cake decorating talent.

Do you think this is fancy enough for a 40th party. We are only serving cake, Ice Cream and soda/juice so I want this to look great.

Deb

That looks beautiful, Deb. You did a wonderful job! I know that your parents will love it.

Did anyone mention the Sound of Music in recent posts? I swear as soon as I got through reading I had a combination of 2 songs from it in my head :confused3 :rotfl:

Glynis did the other day when talking about how she and Alan think alike.

I can't find it on the Disney site, but MouseSavers is saying that dates and prices have been announced for MNSSHP and MVMCP and that all tickets go on sale May 1st. From this report, the DIS dates were correct and they have added parties earlier in the season this year. If that's true, Clare you should be able to catch a party. However, the Disney calendar doesn't reclect the earlier Sept party dates yet, so don't hold me to this info.

I actually have no pictures of the "older" girls. Of course, you already know how beautiful the four of us are, so no pictures are necessary. :teeth:

But, here are the younger girls:

That's all I have. I don't think Kate or Julie took any pictures, but I know Jennifer had her camera. She may post some later! :goodvibes

Amy :)

Loved all the pictures, Amy. You did well to keep the infamous keg out of the shots! ;)

Deb

I am a little late, I know, Deb. But the table looks lovely. I cannot imagine anything your parents would want that is not there.... especially the love.

Love the DDA cookout pics, but where are ones so we can see the DDA women?

Deb, the cakes are magnifiecent. BK loves them too!

Hi to everyone else. BK's bite is better. The ulcer is about the size of a dime, but the redness is gone. It's still very "weepy". I'll be back tonight. Going to go play with the kids.

One of the older girls besides Amy is also in this picture. I am betting it is Kate since I see her Croc Niles :rotfl:

My two best friends, Jan & Dede, are coming over today to start our monthly scrapbooking Sunday afternoons. We have been friends for about 8 years now. Our families get together for a Christmas celebration, celebrate New Years Eve together and have at least one summer party together. The three of us girls get together for lunch once a month. We were Girl Scout leaders together but their girls dropped out when they got to high school and three of our 5 girls have graduated anyway. We miss spending time together. I'm really looking forward to the afternoon. We always have fun!!!! We decided to do this together because we need the motivation help plus we want to spend more time together. We will probably not get much scrapbooking done because we all have pictures to get sorted and organized first. Jan, my closest friend, still has years of pictures to get developed. She needs to get them done because she was the troop photographer and we are trying to get everything digital so that I can put CD's together for all the girls (we are still close with several of them). If you don't see me much today, you'll know why.

Maybe that was it. I did reply to that one even.... but I wouldn't have seen it as I was reading today I don't think. I might just be nuts :rotfl:

Vicki,
That is so great you have two good friends like that. Steffy and I get together all the time when not working. I had a group of three friends that we got together once a month, ate out, had a Christmas Cookie making session while the guys watched football. The best was getting together to exchange Christmas gifts. That was how I started giving really neat ornaments to them and would buy one for me as well. That escalated into getting them on Steffy's and my annual trip to Cape May and buying some for my DD and DDIL and sometimes my sister and Steffy. We have kinda drifted apart but only because our kids ranging from grown to still in elementary school, life got very busy but we do keep in touch.
You cannot beat traditions. :goodvibes

That sounds like so much fun! I need people to do that with, then maybe we'd actually get stuff accomplished! :)

I am looking for orange, purple, and blue (medium blue or navy) Crocs knock-offs for the kids. In Crocs the kids need a size 12-13 (the 10-11 fit snug). Anybody seen knock-offs in these colors? I'm having trouble finding them. If you find any, I'll pay you for them and shipping costs. Thanks for the help!

ANGELA: :cheer2: Congratulations on your princess: - I am so happy for you!

Vicki Your daugher looks Beautiful! I loved her dress!

Deb I thought someone was posting a picture of their professional wedding cake - you did an EXCELLENT job!!! I hope you all have a great time!!

Denise - I just called my Payless and they said they never had orange - did you check the payless website?

Thanks for calling, Kate. I can't find orange anywhere. So I guess I'll be buying those from Crocs. Didn't Julia get purple from Walmart? Wonder if they still have them. Has anyone seen blue? They are for Rees so no turquoise or light blue.

Jen -

tell Kyle that the reason we started DISing was b/c of Paula's picture for crush - remember Julie and Amy insisted they were photoshopped but I think she really took the picture - so Paula - which is it? I say there is a shadow of the sign (this is the inside picture) on your girls but Julie and Amy want to know what is holding the sign

Sorry to have scared you all last night -

Tammi ask - are you serious

and I answered um Unfortunately I am not

but you all assumed she asked if I was joking - thus - my answer led you all astray!!

I think we were all too exhausted last night to post!

I cleaned up and fell fast asleep -

it is a gorgeous day so we were out running errands and jsut enjoying the weather -

I am having company for dinner so I am not sure I will be around until later tonight!!

Denise - I saw purple girl crocs yesterday - they do not have 12s there and I bought Nick royal blue clogs - again they did not have them at that one - it is where I called - but I have to go over there tomorrow so I can have them check all the other stores for me

also - if anyone sees the tie dye ones in a size 9 - we can't find them for Julie - I tried to order them online and they are sold out now -

Look at these Crocs I just ordered for Julia and Myself

048038_beauty.gif

They only come in kids sizes so I am hoping I can fit in the largest one - the lady in the store told me they are about a 7.5 so I am hoping with the dryer trick I can stretch them
