Which trip would you prefer?

I've never park hopped even having APs For some reason I just never plan that way.

I think I'd probably consider if staying at a skyliner resort since EPCOTZ and HS are so convenient from there.

So my vote would be 6 days!

I would personally go 4 day hopper with 1-2 pool / springs days built in... especially with your kids on the older side.

MK party season I might choose differently but for summer -

6 days looks better than 4 day hopper.

Then you could plan late mornings after the late nights. Sleep in, go to the pool, then hit the park and stay there. Sometimes that can be easier than doing midday breaks.

I’d compare a mock up schedule of that vs 4 days with hopper. Which flow/pace looks better?

So I had booked the 6 day trip with no hopper and QS dining plan. My H and DS were initially bummed about no park hopping, but okay with it. My H agrees it was not worth $400.

Well, if I’m looking at things correctly, with the free dining promo it would end up being only $40 more to do the exact same trip, but have park hopper. That seems basically free in Disney money, lol. I don’t think we’ll plan our trip totally around hopping, but we would have the option. But is it a pain to change it? Will my deposit transfer to the new package? I’m not wanting to complicate things or spend all day on the phone.

It should be fairly easy to do online. You just need to modify your existing reservation and and apply the discount. It might ask you to replace your old reservation with the discounted one, but your deposit should transfer over.

Trying to plan a trip this summer using one of the available discounts. Would you rather have a 6 day non-park hopper ticket or a 3-4 day hopper? I lean towards the 6 day, but I’m also factoring in the cost of food and LL for more days. We will definitely want some pool time, but I think I could build in a resort day with the shorter park ticket option.

We have a teen and a tween. We have done Disney several times, but this might be the last trip for a while as the kids have lots going on and there are so many places we want to take them before they go out into the world.

I would do the 6-day and accept the offer for free water park day.

We would 6 day park hopper and no LL. We don't buy them. We have been before and plan to go again so no need to pay for that. We often break in the afternoon for pool and rest and close the park down. It just depends on your style, but we like doing 2 different parks in a day and I would rather pay for hoppers than LL. You know your family's touring style. I would also ask for their input on this decision.
