Kate, I know I've told you this and I'm going to sound like a broken record but I love, love, love my Pal Mickey signature. Everytime I post, I get a big smile on my face. I enjoy looking at everyone else's as well. They are all so amazing. Thanks for adding joy to our days.

I am soooo tired. We had a community egg hunt this morning and somehow I ended up doing face painting . Came home for lunch then out grocery shopping. Got home and did some yard work before heading to work. After work I made an apple pie and jello beans for tomorrow. I started reading this thread, but it took me 2 hours to catch up. Had to take a break at one point to do bunny duty. I'm so glad to have everything done for today. DH and I had a couple of good arguments today too so that didn't help. I certainly hope that tomorrow is a better day.

Easter Plans: The kids will do their baskets in the morning. I have to start getting Easter dinner ready. My DM has the flu and she was planning to make most of our dinner, so now I'm doing the cooking. We will have an egg hunt early afternoon followed by Easter Dinner for 13. That is planned for 2 PM. I have to be at work by 4 PM I really didn't want to work, but I guess no one else did either so I get to do the second shift. I can't believe how many people eat out on holidays. We have a lot of reservations for tomorrow. Hopefully it will pass quickly.

I hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable Easter shared with family and friends.

That is the one thing I absoutely DO NOT miss about working food service. Working the big holidays. The day seemed to just drag on and on.

Every time I think I have July figured out another something comes up.
Jim's Grandma passed away on Thursday. She was his spiritual compass growing up. That leaves him one Grandma living...this one is amazing!! I always tell people when I got married I found my soul mate and it wasn't Jim!! It's Grandma Hoo Hoo. We talked to Grandma on Friday and she told us that she will be going in for exploratory cancer surgery...which at her age(81) and condition could prove life threatening. She had called to say that she wanted us to know that she loved us if she didn't make it through the surgery. If she makes it through the surgery we will be heading toward Montana in July to spend time with her.

I have had enough of the awful cancer word this year I don't want anymore!!!

I'm so sorry Theresa.

I'm in Dallas, too. I live in Uptown/West Village and work out of my aparto. I'd love to meet you guys for lunch sometime!! I travel a lot for work, but it looks like mostly I'll be in town for the next few months since the trade shows I'm planning are here in Dallas this quarter.

Please let me know if you get together. Working from home gets lonely. It's been better for the last six months since DBF works from home now too (yes, like Mickey and Minnie, we live together ), which is loads of fun since I now have a lunch buddy again!

Not sure if this was ever discussed...but has anyone read the book The Kingdom Keepers?? I bought it for my daughter...I have been reading it, and it really enjoyable. It's about these kids that have to solve a mystery at WDW...it has so many specific details to the parks that I feel like I am standing in the Magic Kingdom.

I bought it for my DGD. I'll have to read it!

Speaking of Minnie and Mickey living together (I realize you were discussing this last night, but I missed it so am chiming in a day late), they're actually married. I have this argument with a friend of mine who is a soon-to-be Disney bride and a DISer, so I won't name names.

DBF and I found proof of their marriage at Art of Disney at Downtown Disney last week. For sale at the store is a cell from the movie in which they got married. It's from an early Disney short. They're standing at the altar, Minnie's dress is streaming behind her back up the aisle, and the pews are full of the cows and all the characters Walt Disney used to put in the early Mickey shorts.

Proof that their relationship is legit!!

While she might have a bit of trouble with her panties always peeking out from under her skirt, Minnie is no hussy!!

Not to argue with you - but there are episodes of House of Mouse where she hopes that he is going to propose!! So - in the current imaginears eyes - they are absolutely not married!!!
