You have a beautiful zoo! I miss the StLouis zoo a lot. The one that I've been to here wasn't to great. :( The new camera and you take great pics together.

Thanks! We visited the St. Louis zoo when we went, but it was pretty desolate since it was winter :rolleyes1 I absolutely loved Forest Park as a whole!

But who am I kidding.... we visited zoos (or at least looked into them) in EVERY city we interveiwed. It was part of my criteria! :rotfl:

I'm a bit biased, but our zoo IS absolutely gorgeous. I love it :goodvibes

I am enjoying it...plus it's an easy read.....it's only 350 pages...Matt would probably like it...it has a lot of high tech stuff in there that I picture boys liking to read about.

He's a good reader, but only in second grade. Do you think he can handle it??

I know he'd love the subject matter.

Okay - I found two sites that have these quotes about M&M

According to Walt Disney, Mickey and Minnie Mouse have never been married on screen. But, in 1933, during an interview with Film Pictorial, Walt said, "In private life, Mickey is married to Minnie... What it really amounts to is that Minnie is, for screen purposes, his leading lady." Two years later in 1935, he told Louise Morgan in the News Chronicle "There's no marriage in the land of make-believe. Mickey and Minnie must live happily ever after." The discussion of Mickey and Minnie's wedding has been fueled by the 1932 film Mickey's Nightmare in which Mickey falls asleep in the armchair instead of meeting Minnie at the local dance. Mickey dreams of being married to Minnie and is surrounded by numerous little Mickey mice. Then in 1935, a cover for for the sheet music "The Wedding Of Mister Mickey Mouse" shows a picture of a beaming Mickey, dressing in a tux, leading Minnie, dressed in a veil, from the church to the happy cheering of Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. This music was a Novelty Fox-trot with music by Franz Vienna and words by Edward Pola with special permission by Walt Disney.

Officially, Walt stated about Mickey and Minnie, when he once wrote in the Film Pictorial (1933), "In private life, Mickey is married to Minnie. A lot of people have written to him asking this question, because sometimes he appears to be married to her in his films and other times still courting her. What it really amounts to is that Minnie is, for screen purposes, his leading lady. If the story calls for a romantic courtship, then Minnie is the girl; but when the story requires a married couple, then they appear as man and wife. In the studio we have decided that they are married, really." In 1997 Russi Taylor, the current voice of Minnie married Wayne Allwine, the current voice of Mickey after a five year courtship. Russi's theory about Mickey and Minnie's public image, "The characters aren't going to get married, because children relate to Mickey and Minnie at their own levels. They don't know how old Mickey and Minnie are; but if they were to get married, they would become adults, and it would spoil the illusion."

Almost 1400.
Sorry the eyes aren't going to make it tonight.
Good night all.

Yay, and hopefully the second half will go by really fast now that its nice outside and there is more to do!!!

Any thoughts one way or another as to what your having??

When I was pregnant w/ Kyle, he told everybody that I was having a baby and we were going to call her Emma, even though we constantly referred to her as Carli or Caroline which is her full name. He insisted her name was Emma from the day of our ultra-sound until the day she was born!!!

That's too funny!

For some reason I had it in my mind that he was older...my Christopher is in second grade too....it would be too advanced for him. Oh well, save it in a drawer.

OK - I'm all caught up, with Easter preparations and with the thread. Have a great Easter, and to those who I've missed, Happy Passover. (always a day late and a dollar short). How's that for a saying Clare??

I hope you have a membership to the Zoo....if we didn't it would be $40 every time we wanted to go in :confused3 . For $20 more you can become have a membership for a year. The year(s) we've had the pass we go about 8 times a year. We love the Denver zoo it just needs to be closer to home :teeth: .

We do.... otherwise it would NOT be worth the money sometimes. It was absolutely packed today, so we only stayed about an hour :goodvibes

ETA: don't you think I should put him in my siggie?

Oh, Denise.... you all kill me! I would think he's very cute, but I have such a jaded opinion of him now -- and it's not even his fault! :rotfl:

Jen -

did you hear about Sean Casey today? DH says to me - see good thing we traded him - he won't be playing - I told him that would not have happened if we still had him

and I don't know how you can say it isn't spring in Cincinnati - we have the one sure fire sign that it is spring in Cincinnati - Griff isn't playing b/c his hamstring is bothering him

one of my neighbors had a balloon on her mailbox today that said - here's to a speedy recovery and of course it was a big mylar balloon - of course the turtle wants her to have a speedy recovery :thumbsup2
