Heather sorry to hear you have all been sick. Hope the kiddies are feeling well enough to go trick or treating tonight :wizard:

Medicine has the same effect on me. If it is suppose to make me drowsy I am wide awake

I should have known better leaving for the weekend before fully catching up lol .. as of right now i'm still 47 pages behind .. and i still have to finish the kid's halloween costumes tonight .. we've all been sick since late last week and M&M's had it the worst .. her meds are doing a reversal on her .. instead of knocking her out she's wide awake .. uggghhh i'll catch up before Fri I promise LOL ..

Sorry to hear this Elin. to Kathrin

I got an email from Kathrin today that she had heard back from the company in Boston that she really was interested in. However, they are not interested in her right now. :( I know she has to be so disappointed. :sad1:

So I just got a call from my husband....it's quitting time here....he said we're going to be late...why?? because Abi just figured out what she wanted to be for Halloween:rotfl: The waitress thing didn't work out for her...going to be surprised at what she is....they went into their rooms to put it together without telling dad.

Definitely a camera night!!

Happy Birthday Christopher!

Love the banner & you have a very handsome young man there!

Not sure where the years went...but Christopher turned 10 today! He keeps saying "I am no longer a single digit midget"

Wow Marci that is a really nice picture! Congratulations Jake :thumbsup2

Jake got artist of the month for the fourth year in a row -- he was psyched! When he told me, I thought maybe it was because he has the art teacher wrapped around his finger, but I actually like it.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

I got into my closet last night to get some of my winter clothes out & I have nothing. I am happy that I lost weight, but I hate shopping for clothes!

I was realizing how woefully underclothed I am for the fall/winter espescially since I am looking for a new job...so I am heading tomorrow to pay extreme prices for clothes. :headache:

Good luck to you!!

:bday: party: :bday: Happy Birthday Christopher:bday: party: :bday:

Congratulations Jake, I really like the painting

Kathrin- Please hang in there.:grouphug: Just keep on sending your resume out. The right job is out there for you. It just might take awhile to find. Keep on shining at your current job and network with as many people nearby, as well as in Boston. You just never know who might have a link to the perfect job for you. I know it can be tough, I have been there, through many job interviews and second and third interviews for jobs I thought would be perfect for me, and then not got the job. :wizard: :wizard:  :grouphug:  :wizard: that you quickly find the perfect job for you in Boston and you keep a positive spirit in the mean time.

Janet- I am the same way with medicine.

Have a good time trick or treating.pirate:

Sounds like a great idea!

I just found out that there is an American Indian Pow-Wow at our Fairgrounds this weekend. Perfect timing for Nicholas' Indian project that he has to do. I think we'll go and take a bunch of pictures. Maybe he will want to do a photo poster instead of making a dream catcher.

DS is not very happy with me. I never heard back from ExMomboss, so we can't really just show up over there. He said he doesn't want to trick-or-treat by himself. Now he is sort of brooding in the chair while DH fixes dinner. I figure we'll eat and then if he wants to go out for awhile we will take him. He really is getting too old for this and he will look like a dork going door to door with his parents. He doesn't even like candy.

Deb do you by any chance make fabric coasters?

I got up this morning and dug into my sewing projects. I made 7 pot holders which have been in my to do pile for months. I had planned to sell them at AJ's during foliage, but that didn't happen. They are quite nice though so maybe I'll make a few as Christmas gifts for my hard to shop for relatives.

Mine is blue, I think just the handles are different colors :rolleyes1

OK. I think I am losing the last of my mind. Does anybody have the YOMD refillable mugs? Are the lids ALL blue, regardless of the handle color? Because I think I have been looking for lids we never had. I see we have 2 "extra" blue lids and the obvious explanation is that ALL of the lids were blue to begin with.:rolleyes1

Do I need to sign up somewhere to get passholder info? I bought an AP for the 1st time :cool1:

THANK YOU! Now I can stop searching under the fridge with a flashlight for a black and gray lids we never had!:rotfl2: All 3 of us were thinking the lids matched the handles.:confused3 Now I can get on with my life!:rotfl2:

I just got a Passholder newsletter that said Value resorts for January are $49 SUN - THURS. It didn't say if weekends are rack or a discount off the higher rate. It also said if you pre-purchase your P&P tickets you save 35%. If you buy between today and 12/15 adult tickets are $30 + Tax instead of $46 + Tax. Scroll down to the bottom of the Passholder page with the discounts for the link to P&P for 2008.:)

Mine is nothing fancy, just flour, salt(or seasoning salt), & pepper.

Ok DDA cooks, please give me your fried chicken recipes.
We like fried chicken but I hate making it, (only made it once in 21 years of marriage) however I have decided to make it this weekend. :confused3

Using cut pieces of chicken, put in plastic bag with flour and seasonings of your choice. Salt, pepper, onion salt, garlic salt.
Have vegetable oil heated on medium high in fry pan. I have about half an inch in depth. place chicken in pan and monitor frying. I think it takes about 30 minutes or so depending on how big the piece of chicken is. I stay right there to keep monitoring the heat to make sure it is not popping a lot.

I have done it this way for over 40 years when I first learned from my mom.

Cute Becky! I only wore a Halloween t-shirt today lol

I have been having the same issue. I have pants but need tops. Finding long sleeves is no fun:rolleyes1

Today I wore this I also had a pink sweater but didn't wear it all day

I agree, Becky! I also wore a Halloween t-shirt (the design that I posted this morning). We don't dress up, because some of the preschoolers just don't quite get it. They like other kids dressed up, but adults are different.

Here are a few of my photos...

At the pumpkin patch (Matthew didn't join us this year)

Last year we had APs for the first time and we NEVER got anything. No e-mails, no Mickey Monitors, nothing. I finally e-mailed them about the Mickey Monitors and they fixed that. Now that we have our 2nd set of APs I seem to be on the e-mail list.

You can go to the Passholder site and make sure your e-mail is on file, but that may or may not work. Everything that comes out for Passholders is on the site (go to disneyworld.com and click Passholders) so you might just have to check it periodically. Definitely let them know if you aren't getting the Monitor though, because sometimes there are coupons in it that can't be downloaded from the site. I think the next one is November so it should be here soon!
