Today was a busy day. After church we stopped at the grocery store to pick up the few things that I forgot to get yesterday. Then we came home, Bob and his DD came over, and we got busy carving our pumpkins. Nicholas made a wolf, and the girls did a spider. I made Glynis' pot roast for dinner, which got rave reviews. Then kids just now went to bed, since they've had late nights and early mornings this weekend. I can't believe it's back to work already tomorrow.

Great pictures!!! The carvings came out very nice!

Are you sure :rotfl:

Your choices look good :thumbsup2
::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Nice shots, I love this one!!

Anne Marie - Is Akershus a buffet now that it is a character meal? Not that we would go back there, just curious.
We ate dinner there on our first trip. You were supposed to be able to order multiple entrees, but you had to do one at a time. The portions were tiny so you could try different things. Our server was very sweet but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get him to bring more food! I got one entree and one tiny dish of veggies, DH got 2 entrees. DS got a bowl of mac & cheese or something. The items on the cold buffet weren't that great so we paid a bunch of money for less food than we could have gotten at CS!:headache:
The dinner still has the cold buffet (cheeses, meats, breads) & then the entree for dinner & dessert. I never knew it was all you can eat since we were stuffed & didn't ask for more. We did have the rice cream for dessert & that was so good!

I am off to work, have a great day!!!!!

Tammi - your night shot at MK turned out awesome!

::yes:: I agree! bright and clear!

Tammi, your pictures are all fabulous! And the kids did a great job with their pumpkins! :goodvibes

Tammi, Great pictures! The kids are looking so grown up! The hunkin's look great!

Great pictures!!! The carvings came out very nice!
Thanks everyone!

Good Morning DDA. It was a short night here. We watched the whole game and didn't get to bed until about 1 AM. Then Colby woke up and went potty on his own but needed us to put him back to bed. He was dry this morning :cool1:

I never knew this!! :goodvibes

Yup! He has written several pieces including one for his sister's wedding. If I can figure out how to get it on the computer, I'll send it to you. He is currently working on two pieces (intermittently at least, as they've been in process for over a year). He's a pretty talented piano player as well and can pick up most songs with just a little picking out. I guess as a kid his piano teacher made Phil's mom give Phil brand new pieces with strict instructions not to play or sing anything for him before he tried it so that he'd actually learn to read the music instead of just always playing by ear.

Thanks Deb, I got nothing done today. My face is killing me. It is a 8.5 on a scale of 10 with 10 being childbirth. I have a heating pad on my face as I type.

Bernadette is the expert for this. There is some date you can buy it, and get an additional month.

No curtain Vicki. I would send Chuck out of the room while you and the girls got dressed..:goodvibes

Well, my cleaning frenzy came to a screaching halt. The sinuses over my toothline are KILLING me. I have a aheating pad on my face and I'm still in pain. I've tried all kinds of pain meds. They are doing nada. The antibiotic is not kicking in like it was when I first got it. My face is swollen and my teeth hurt. I'm off to bed. Just came on to wish everyone a good night.

Great pictures Tammi.

:welcome: home Becky.

Great pictures Deb. Happy Birthday Hunter.:dance3:

Oh Steffy. I hope those meds start working. Sinus pain is no fun at all.:wizard:

So my Rockies who have been sweeping...got swept.:sad1:

Now just have to wait for Jim to fall asleep and I can go to bed.

Sorry Theresa :sad1:

Nope. Just that I work with a lot of men who have had it done, and I've been entertained by their horror stories. :rotfl2:

Sorry I just couldn't pass it up! I figure I've done enough work, it's his turn to suffer;)

Good morning. :)

It's cold here today.

Summer to winter in a matter of hours

off to work--field trip day and its 40 degrees right now!

Hopefully i go to this concert tonigiht so have a great day!

Where'd you go?

Today is inventory day at work, yuck

That doesn't sound like fun at all. I hated inventory :headache:

I have a kid for rent!;)

Good morning, DDA! I've got to get in the shower or I will be late for work!:)

And he's a boy (that's the only way we'll get one know) so that's a plus. I'll keep him in mind :goodvibes

Good Morning DDA!

Tammi, Great pictures! The kids are looking so grown up! The hunkin's look great!

Deb, great pictures too! Looks like a fun party! MMMMM... Pizza, I like pizza!

I have been busy working on a couple of projects. I am doing pretty good on one outfit that I have on Evil-bay, we shall see how the end goes!

Robyn, :wizard: to Eric! Hope he gets by as pain free as possible!

Off to bed, have a great day DDA!

Thanks Tom! He rolled his eyes when I told him everyone was sending good thoughts his way. But he really does appreciate them :goodvibes

:yay: for Colby!!

My morning is not going at all as planned. I thought I'd have Colby's blanket made by now, but something came up instead

Colby spotted the balloon through our window. Once we realized that it was landing in a field just across the interstate we threw on our clothes and grabbed the camera. The pilot was very nice and let Colby sit in the basket. We then helped them squeegee the balloon and pack it up. Colby was fascinated by the whole process. It was so cold here this morning. We had a heavy frost, I was surprised seeing the balloon. The pilot says that he flies year round and that it wasn't too cold up there :confused3 I know that we put on our rain boots and our feet were freezing just helping pack it up.

Deb,

That is so neat. I remember when a balloon came down in our neighborhood. It was really fascinating. In fact while they were still way up in the air and just before they were to set down, you could hear them talk plain as day.

One year the elementary school had a fundraiser that afforded us to have a balloon tethered so they could just go up and come back down with the kids riding in the basket. it was so cool. what a rush.

Ok, all of you car renters......you are making me rethink this........

Explain to me how renting a car, driving, parking, riding a tram or walking a long distance is better than waiting for a bus for around 15 minutes.

If you can put up a good argument, maybe I will change my mind and try the rental route in Dec., if I can get a good price.

My only answer is....it's not. :upsidedow I hate the whole car rental thing when I don't have too. I had a rental one time when we stayed offsite (free stay due to a bad experience). To me, it was a pain to get to/from the car, sit in traffic, navigate Disney roads, etc. I much prefer to enjoy the lovely morning, drink a cup of coffee and wait for the bus to arrive, then let someone else drop me off at the gate. At the end of the night, we meander Main Street, stroll to the bus and enjoy a nice ride home again. And all of this coming from someone who has travelled primarily as the only adult first witha 5-7yo and then with a 15mo-4yo travelling with backpacks, diaper bags, strollers, blankets, etc.

Also, take into account, though, that public transportation was one of my favorite things about Boston. That, and I don't care much for driving. Don't hate it, but don't particularly enjoy it either. Part of my vacation is giving up control of many things.

ETA: I will add that DTD is the longest trip via bus, but then we usually only go once during a trip and it is for a full evening so it's not a big deal. Also, bus trips are usually our "park break" since we don't head back to the resort most days.

There were 2 people riding with the pilot. They said that it was amazing. They took photos, but they said the photos can never do the experience justice. They were very excited.

Deb - That's neat! What a fun experience for Colby!:goodvibes

Robyn - I bet DS would be quite thrilled with Lucy. He likes them before they are old enough to talk.:rotfl2: Emma & Molly are too close to Sister's age - he wouldn't be too sure about them.;)

Stephanie - Feel better soon!:wizard:

Having only rode Disney transportation, I cannot say anything about renting a car. I did not see any problem with the Disney busses except when we were leaving downtown disney, three busses for PO came and finally 25 minutes later one came for the BC just as I was remarking to a person calling up the busses. The driver asked the seven of us where we were going and we said the Dolphin and BC. He proceeded to stop at the other resorts, Swan and Yacht even tho none of us got off. He could just have drove on. When he let us off, he parked in the slot instead of pulling up to the front. It was frustrating because I was just about to burst and almost did not make it !!!! The boat that took us to MGM was slower than a snail. Even with our aches and pains, we could have walked faster. JMO
I will still continue to use the Disney busses.
The one taxi that we used let us off at their parking area instead of in front of MGM which was a surprise cause we had no chance to tell him to stop right in front. Otherwise the taxis that we used were worth it.

Ok, I need a project. Any good ideas? I'm having a bad night, and Kyle is working all night so I'm just sitting here wallowing. I have about 100 digital scrapping pages I could work on, but that is not motivating me in the slightest. I have no energy because I haven't wanted to eat anything all day, so no working out or anything like that. Or cleaning my house

Who's got some suggestions? :listen:

Do you have your scrapbook pages up anywhere? If so, can you send me the link? I'd love to check them out!

Did everybody see the Disney Visa code for Jan - March 15? Free hopper & water parks.

Tom - WOW! $60 and 2 days left to go! That's awesome!:cool1:

Tia - I agree on not renting a car. But we just have DS and he was 8 the first time we went to WDW. If we had more than one child or we had a toddler/preschooler we might think about renting a car, but we are used to going without a car so we'll stick with that.

Not too chilly here today. They are saying we'll be near 80 on Wednesday.

Or old boyfriends, just to see what you might have missed. ;)

Ok, can I tell you my oddest old boyfriend story? My first serious boyfriend broke up with me Senior year in high school. His parents never approved of me, and so he broke up with me to go out with the girl his parents liked. Well, after graduation, I really never saw him again. He did end up marrying the girl his parents liked, but after that I kind of lost touch. Fast forward to 2001-2002. I'm pregnant with the twins, and my doctor made an appointment for me to meet with a genetics counselor. It's standard procedure here for any multiple birth, so I was fine with it.

I showed up for my session, with Alan in tow, and guess who the counselor was??? Yup! My old boyfriend! Talk about awkward!!!

I know my brother was bleary-eyed this morning too. But as a diehard Patriot/Red Sox fan I bet he was on :cloud9: too! Our poor Redskins.... :sad2:

COLBY... :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:  :cool1:

I would love to see his work! Does he notate by hand or does he use a notation software program? I have lots of students who can play so well by ear... I am jealous of them!

What a wonderful diversion! There are almost no leaves left on your trees! Ours are still pretty full and there is quite a bit of color too! I had to scrape my car this morning too. Hard to believe that last week this time we were walking around World Showcase getting sunburned as we ate and drank like little piggies, Chanon and Janet!

I had the AC on at work on Thursday and needed the heat to take the chill of on Saturday!

I so feel your pain, Stephanie! I hardly moved from my chair yesterday. I was stuffy the night before with some pain, but felt horrid all day yesterday. I have still yet to change out of my pjs. Luckily, I got a 3 hour nap in yesterday so I was finally able to stay awake for the full Sox game. Today is a little better...hope the same is true for you. :wizard:
