I'd like everyone to know that not only did Marti post this public threat, but she also sent me a PM claiming her husband called me a bad name!!! :rotfl2:

And Alyssa's not so nice...she's almost two after all! Her new favorite phrase is "go away." I guess she's heard me shoo the cat away one too many times. :lmao:

Amy :)

Terra's latest is "Leave me alone!" Right about the time the odd looks from surrounding people start she follows that up with "Don't bother me with your stupid ideas." Then right about the time those people walk away in horror she finishes it up with "Easter is very simple. You paint the eggs, you hide the eggs and you find the eggs. And you know who's going to find the eggs. ME! Because I'm the one that's going to hide them." Hmmmm, perhaps somebody watches It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown a little too much. She also quotes other Charlie Brown movies regularly as well and, of course, it's always the lines that make me look like the terrible mommy.

Awww man, I missed it! I was hoping to watch at least some, but unfortunately my end of the night "routine" as lax as it is, turned into a mid evening one since somebody, who doesn't usually take a nap, decided to sleep from 2:15 to 5:45. I am pretty much resigned to the fact that I won't be getting any sleep tonight. Oh well, who needs sleep.

I just bought the CD for my Katie's Easter basket. Every time we get in the car one of the songs is playing on Radio Disney, and Katie sings along. I can't wait to see her face when she opens the CD.

She and I watched it for a mother/daughter sleepover movie, and had a great time. I hope they release it on DVD, I will be first in line to buy it for her.

I just saw a release date the other day. I think that it was May 23.

Okay here is the info I had seen:
The DVD May 23 with two versions: the original and a sing-along edition that displays on-screen lyrics so viewers can participate in the musical numbers. Bonus material includes dance lessons by choreographer Kenny Ortega, videos of We're All in This Together and I Can't Take My Eyes Off You (previously unreleased) and behind-the-bleachers footage.

Tia - Thanks for the heads up on the release date. I can't wait!

Kate - Just thought you'd like to know that I am watching High School Musical right now. I love when you flip through the channels and happen upon the very show you wanted to watch. I'm tempted to wake my Katie up to watch it with me. DH is not interested at all. Oh well! His loss.

Just got home from the playdate. REES DID AWESOME! He was so "on" today! His behavior was perfect, and he was so focused and calm. I am so proud of him! The team said they will be placing him in a mainstream classroom as he did so well. It couldn't have gone better. Prayers work!

It took such a long time that we are finishing up the testing on 3/24. So I'll ask for prayers again for that days testing for the calm, happy, relaxed, focused, and attentive.

Off to cook dinner (aka order take out!) It's good to be happy again!

I am so happy for Rees and therefore you. It is good to hear that all your hopes and prayers paid off today. I hope this is the start of many good things to come for your family.

But Amy - I didn't think Kevin would let you wear anything but his designs? :confused3 :teeth:

You could submit that to Parents Magazine "Embarrassing Moments" and earn some money! :teeth:

we were at the mall buying our Disney APs

Hey-I did that at lunch too! I got my bonus last week so I figured I might as well go ahead & buy AP's for May's trips. And I found out that the Disney store in the mall near me is closing AGAIN...for rehab from mid April to ??? They closed becaused they lost their lease, then they closed again before Halloween and opened just before Christmas and now they are closing again.

Lizzy asked for a stuffed cat for her birthday. She had just had a playdate with a friend who has a new cat and she knows I would never say yes to a real cat. I told her we were going to Disney for her birthday. So she said "well, maybe for Christmas...". I'm such a mean Mom. SO...I bought her a Marie at the Disney store for her Easter basket. Which meant I had to buy something for the others. Got Joe a Baloo and Emma a Tigger in a rain coat.

I've been thinking about Emma's monster problem. I wonder if I asked her to draw her monster what it would look like. I have a feeling it would be soft, cuddly and PINK (she HATES pink). Nothing a huge rubber toothy dino can't take care of. :teeth:

I worked tonight at the Restaurant. It was the strangest night that I have ever worked. All the problems were between staff and I'm not quite sure how I managed to avoid all the conflict. The cooks were mad at the waitstaff for some reason so when they put in the employee meal order the cooks actually set it on fire and handed it back to them :confused3 . One of the cooks got into an argument with a waitress that ended up in the parking lot. The same cook got into a shouting match with the other bartender. I'm glad that it was after hours because it was very loud. The odd thing is that the bartender has absolutely no idea what she said or did to make the cook so mad. He swore that he will never speak to her again and will make her life at the restaurant hell. 3 of the 4 owners were there while all this was going on and they were discussing it when I left. These people were aged 20 -50. They were actually fighting more than the 5 kids I have here everyday. I am still shaking my head in disbelief. Have any of you ever had this happen at work? It will be interesting to see how it all pans out tomorrow although I bet that nothing will be said to anyone as that is how it usually goes. All I know is that I was not involved in any way shape or form

Deb,
Restaurant work,,,ya gotta love it :rotfl2: Not quite that type of trouble but I can relate.

The worst I have ever encountered was at one place which was a Hotel with restaurant and separate bar. There was the one bartender would not serve meals. So there I am Hostessing, taking money, answering the phone and anything else you could think of and that one night she wanted me to handle a party of 12 that wanted to sit in the bar instead of the restaurant side. .I told her that this was one time I would not share the tp. I even made the drinks.
I have such a deep appreciation for anyone who serves, Steffy and I go out for lunch and we have our favorite places but we make sure the manager knows both the bad and the good.

The best was during a Harley Davidson ralley and about 30 Hogs stayed at this same place. We got to know them during the week and the Chef got a lamb chop and broiled it to death. We knew the one guy was going to ask for a prime rib.. So when the chef brought it out, the look on his face was priceless.

I still remember the regulars and how much fun it was to serve them.

Terry

That is too funny! Emma was five on this past trip, her first. This was the last one she had. She would have just ate that the entire trip. Not long after we got back we found out she was lactose intolerant so I suspect that that Mickey bar was her last for a while. I should frame it so she can relive it. She is very upset that she cannot have ice cream.

That's tough for a 5 yo - I didn't find out I was LI until I was 27 so I've eaten my fair share of Mickey ears over the years, last trip I just looked longingly at them, and had an ice lolly instead - a something-zadoo it was called! Brightly coloured and tasty :thumbsup2

Sending :wizard: from a fellow LI sufferer :grouphug:

Kristine -- I don't think you're being silly -- They always have a hard time with me, too. When they start digging in my arm, I get all sweaty!

Tammi -- aren't you the one that was telling me about dairy products and sinus issues. Are you still having better luck as long as you stay off dairy, or do I have you confused with someone else who was trying to help me? I'm kind of slow and forgot to ask you about this when I replied to you earlier. Lack of sleep.....I'm too old to function on little sleep....

Hi Marci - I think I mentioned dairy and sinuses, and maybe Ellen too? I'm still off dairy (well except for a bit of cheese) and I haven't had sinus trouble since I cut it out (2 years now)

Well...that was quite rotten!!

2 stabs in the arm...final stab in the top of the hand...which hurts sooo much! Which then made me start to feel faint...Bill's running around looking for OJ to give me...it was quite the sight to behold. The woman packed her stuff up and RAN out the door as fast as she could :rotfl: . I have low BP...it was 110/70 when I was nervous...once they took it right after the blood test..it ws so low the person got all freaked out.

All I can say is thank God it's done!!!

And...thanks for listening..and the kind words!!!

Kristen - glad it all went ok - I HATE having blood taken. Your blood pressure will drop as a result of them taking the blood - that's why you felt faint. Last time I had blood taken I got up and left the surgery and then had to get back inside as quick as possible before I collaspsed in a heap! The nurse says next time I have to have blood taken lying down and then stay there for at least 30 minutes for my blood pressure to return to normal.

Me too Me too!!! except I get lost at the "wildcats" part.

The kids and I were doing it last night.

Kate - I have to admit that this is the first time I actually watched the thing the whole way through, and I must agree, Zac is yummy! But those kids can't lip sync worth a dang.
