Just got home from the playdate. REES DID AWESOME! He was so "on" today! His behavior was perfect, and he was so focused and calm. I am so proud of him! The team said they will be placing him in a mainstream classroom as he did so well. It couldn't have gone better. Prayers work!

It took such a long time that we are finishing up the testing on 3/24. So I'll ask for prayers again for that days testing for the calm, happy, relaxed, focused, and attentive.

Off to cook dinner (aka order take out!) It's good to be happy again!

So very happy to hear this!!!!!! I will continue to keep you in our prayers.

I came in for a quick DIS fix before I am going without for 2 whole days!! :guilty:

I am finally getting my "me" time this weekend at a retreat....though can I call it completely me time if I am teaching a session? :confused3

Anyway, I am so glad everything is looking up for everyone and don't get too chatty this weekend!!

Happy to hear you’re having a me-istic day. I love to have a little me-ism every now and then. It’s good for us!!!! Hope you had a marvelous Me-istic day!!!!

DDA, who has been the last week of October? We're thinking of changing our dates to Oct 28-Nov 4 at the Contemporary (Tower Magic Kingdom View). The kids would miss a week of Kindergarten, but I'm not that worried about it. The problem with the December dates is that their school and the school where I teach are in different counties. They have different vacation dates (the kids get out a week before I would). I'm not allowed to miss the last days before the holiday starts, and the dates we picked I would.

So, would you chance making my boss angry and keep the December trip (kids would miss NO SCHOOL)? Or would you go in Oct/Nov, not have a conflict with work, but the kids miss 5 DAYS OF SCHOOL. And, yes, our school district definitely does NOT approve of family vacations during school time. BTW, the price is only $100 different, so that is not a factor.

Oh, the dilemma!

Have a terrific time!!! I will be at a synchronized swim meet in Albany that weekend (plus I couldn't afford to go anyway), but I'll be thinking about you. My birthday is May 18th, so have a Dole Whip or something for me. :goodvibes

Well, how angry will your boss be? How many days of work would you miss? For me, it is always family first, work somewhere at the bottom;) . The only thing I can see is that you will run into MNSSHP evenings at the MK. And you would miss MVMCP. I know how much you loved all the Christmas stuff last year. The only reason you have not going in Dec. is your boss. The reasons you have for not going earlier are (1) kids missing school (2) fighting with the school over the kids missing it (3) missing the Christmas stuff (4) will it be harder on Rees missing school than the other 2? (5) did I say missing the Christmas stuff?

Here's lots of pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust: :wizard: that you can get a sub for your class!!

Love the invitation - and it looks like we already have a t-shirt too! Paul said it would make a great t-shirt.

We hope anybody that is interested can make it that weekend... we should have a great time!
Yes, I second what Marti said.

And I think Paul will look lovely in Kate's tshirt design! ;)

See, that's why I love the DDA. The voice of reason to set me straight. I will keep the ressies as is, and just explain I will not be working those days. I think with Rees' history, she will understand. I may make it back for the last day and parties. That would make her happy. Thanks, Tammi!

And, yes, I love Christmas!

Oh, the dilemma!

Hi Denise,
We went 10/22 - 11/5 2005.
We did run into Wilma.
A little rain, chiller than I'm used to & windy.
As to the crowds we had no problems.
All in all we had a great time.
I'm hoping we can make last week of September, 1st week October this year.
Hope it all works out for you.
I look @ it this way.
No matter.
How could anyone have a bad time @ WDW?

Today was a great day! It was almost 60 here, so a girlfriend and her two kids asked me to join them at the zoo!

I'll post pics when I can get them smaller...

I just wanted to share. I made this ID tags for our trip. The first one was for my kids ID. I used the second one for my camera, fanny packs, camcorder, backpack, etc., just changing the names accordingly. I printed and laminated them. Then I punched a hole in one corner and used a key ring to hang them from all my stuff. Even my kids hanged the key ring from their belt loops. Finally I am learning how to post images!!

Here's my first attempt for a t-shirt design. I couldn't take the purple bottom part off, but since I want it in a small size, I don't mind cutting it off after I print it.

I wish I could go too but I will still be working and I teach 6 days a week... Too close to the end of the year recitals to take a weekend off. How much fun are you all going to have!!!!! :woohoo:

Monica - I really like the tag idea - they are quite cute! Will you be using these on your luggage as well, or just your camera bag?

We couldn't get him into the Mrs. Potts costume - how do you think we're going to get him in this t-shirt? Although I love the prospect of trying :teeth:

Actually I only made them for the things that I knew I was taking to the parks (camera, camcorder, DH backpack, fanny packs (me and the kids), etc.), plus also ID's for my kids. But you just gave me a great tip.
Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Before you go making them for the luggage - there was a reason I was asking! I got a tip years ago from somewhere - and I don't remember where. But our luggage tags no longer have our information out so everyone can read it. What you can read says "INFORMATION ON REVERSE SIDE" and then we printed on the reverse. Apparently in big city airports people were able to look on your tag, discover you were on vacation and go and rob your house. The more I thought about it - I figured, even if they weren't really going to go all the way to my house to take my lousy stuff, why should any Joe walking by me know all that information? If the airline needs the information for any reason, they can flip the tag over and contact me. I know this seems extreme to some, but I feel better without all my information displayed for everybody to see.
