That is too funny! Emma was five on this past trip, her first. This was the last one she had. She would have just ate that the entire trip. Not long after we got back we found out she was lactose intolerant so I suspect that that Mickey bar was her last for a while. I should frame it so she can relive it. She is very upset that she cannot have ice cream.

Can she take meds for lactose intolerance? Or does she have to wait until she is much older? What about sherberts and Italian Ice?

The color is great.
As for Ramiro's room, I love the wall color but after watching alot of shows on the HGTV channel about people selling their homes, it would be better to paint it.

Matt (as you probably have guessed) is one of the three little pigs in the play. He's mad that he has to the the responsible pig (brick pig) when his two best friends are the laid back pigs (they get to wear their bathing suits). I thought it would look cute to have matching t-shirts; and each will have their nickname on the back - bricks, sticks and hay. He has quite a lot of lines and then a song to sing by himself. The teacher thinks it will help with his stuttering.QUOTE]

I hope Matt has fun with his play. Post pics of the shirts when you make them. When is the play? As a parent this sounds like fun, as a kid I bet he can't wait for it to be over.

Here is my childish problem of the moment:

I am sitting here all nervous because I am waiting for a paramedic to come over and draw blood from me. Since a few people have died around me I have become a tad paranoid...so I got a life insurance policy for myself so my kids would be taken care of. So now I need a BP check, blood etc. I have terrible veins so they NEVER get it in the first try. So I am freaking out! Like I said...I know it's childish...

Kristine, DH hate needles also, he gets blood taken every year for a physical (required by the military) you'd think after so many years he could just do it, but NO he looks away and thinks of things like boats and cars.
I do hope it worked out for you. I always make my kids take 3 deep breaths when we need to calm down for what ever reason. So next time take 3 deep breths and think of Disney stuff. This will keep you BP lower than just thinking of them taking blood.

Well...that was quite rotten!!

2 stabs in the arm...final stab in the top of the hand...which hurts sooo much! Which then made me start to feel faint...Bill's running around looking for OJ to give me...it was quite the sight to behold. The woman packed her stuff up and RAN out the door as fast as she could . I have low BP...it was 110/70 when I was nervous...once they took it right after the blood test..it ws so low the person got all freaked out.

All I can say is thank God it's done!!!

And...thanks for listening..and the kind words!!!

I had a friend in the AF who was a lab teach and he used to call himself a "good sick and soft prick guy". I will tell you he was one of the best. I wish he was staitioned here for when my DD's needed blood drawn.

DH had British Pilots in his last squadron; they come over for a 3 yr tour and fly our planes while we send folks over to the UK. It’s a great exchange program the military has; I’ve met exchange pilots from Germany also.


Today’s AF lingo 101-
SMSgt Select = Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt) Select means they have been selected for that rank but do not hold it at this time. SO DH is a SMSgt Select with the current rank of MSgt (Master Sergeant). Enlisted rank goes from E-0 to E-9, DH was just selected for E-8. Most people retire at E-7 because E-8 is the hardest rank for an enlisted person to get.

...I'm not in the same boat with the small veins, but anytime someone sticks me with a needle to take blood I pass out. And I'm not worried about the needle either...it's just something that happens! Red Cross is always laughing at me when I "wake up" after donating. Maybe I should quit warning them and they'd take me more seriously!

That's pretty much the story of my first half hour at the hospital when Terra was born. It took 3 nurses, but someone finally got it to work. Of course it was in the hand by then and I had all of those lovely bruises for a week or so. I'm glad that it is over!!

I can relate to the taking of blood. HATE IT As for blood pressure, once I was in the hospital for 5 days for samonela poisioning and went back to the Dr for a follow-up visit. He took my blood pressure, frowned and asked me to stand up. Apparently it was so low he wanted to make sure I was really ok and among the living.

Hi all!
Just popping in for a quick minute to say hi. DH has been working CRAZY hours this week so I am not getting all my necessary DDA hours in

The Mac stroller came today!! Kyle loves it! When I opened the box and he saw it was red he started jumping up and down (Red is his favorite color). After he gets up from his nap we are going to go for a quick walk around the block to "break it in"

I also got my travel docs from WDW - it seems so official now!!!!!!

Well I am off to work on more iron-on's. Nope, not T shirts this time, but for a valance. I made a fold back valance to hang in Kyle's "Big Boy" room and I am going to iron on road construction signs that I downloaded and printed onto transfer paper. I had proto-typed it last night to show DH and Kyle and they both liked it.

I can relate...that has happened numerous times to me...each blood draw during pregnancy bottomed out my BP. Bill of course has veins the size of a large drinking straw and soooo doesn't get how anyone can have a problem with a blood draw.

Just got home from the playdate. REES DID AWESOME! He was so "on" today! His behavior was perfect, and he was so focused and calm. I am so proud of him! The team said they will be placing him in a mainstream classroom as he did so well. It couldn't have gone better. Prayers work!

It took such a long time that we are finishing up the testing on 3/24. So I'll ask for prayers again for that days testing for the calm, happy, relaxed, focused, and attentive.

Off to cook dinner (aka order take out!) It's good to be happy again!
