Clare -

that seems really high - isn't that like $70 american dollars?!? Seems like we could buy them and ship them to you for cheaper than that -

last night I was trying to read about them and there was a thread on the UK board discussing the sizes of crocs vs. UK sizes - maybe you could read that!!

 Yeah 70 bucks is about right! Some bargain. :teeth:

I'll have a look at that UK thread and see if I can figure out what size I need to be then I might order some. I could always wait until I get to Florida, but hey if they're gonna be big here this summer I want to be seen as a trend setter not a sheep so might as well get them early :rotfl:

Off topic...

Does anyone here take Niacin? If so, I have a question.

ok onto the crocs thing again - I just found a girl selling some on ebay for less than a tenner - she bought 5 pairs when she was in Florida! They are an American Medium - which appreantly is a UK 6/7 which is my size - well I'm a 7. If we ignore the size difference for a minute can I just ask whether you'd buy your real size in them - ie what you wear for normal shoes, or go bigger/smaller?

Thanks guys :)

Oh yeah - as the styles fit differently they're the clogs with all the holes in... not sure of the name.

Those are the Beach. I wear a size 8 (sometimes 8 1/2) and I have a size Medium-8-9. So I'd say that style fits pretty true to size. I'm actually wearing mine right now. I do usually wear them with socks (I never said I wasn't a dork) as I find my feet do sweat in them without socks. I like them as a comfy shoe to wear around the house or while running a few errands but I could never wear them all day at Disney-not to mention I wouldn't wear them with socks and shorts. What a sight that would be. :teeth:

All right I did have to leave the house because I wanted to give them pointers on what to do. :rotfl2: But when I came back this afternoon I asked them why they couldn't clean like this every Saturday w/o the nagging:

Cassidy: "I guess I was in a cleaning mood today" :lmao: (took her dad 1 hour to get her out of the bed this morning!!). Last night it was "why do I have clean up after everyone?".....which made me :furious: and then :lmao: because we wouldn't have had to have last night's conversation if she was the slave she was claiming to be.

Abi: "Maybe it was the talk you did last night" I have such a people pleaser here

Jim: no comment...suppose I might actually get feedback from him when the girls are asleep. But I didn't think it was fair that he didn't "get" to nag....guess they had enough last night.

Me: I got to go to a bookstore, lunch and a paint your own pottery place w/o kids!!

I still need ideas on consequences for work not done.....I don't think this is going to last long!
take away privleges(sp)

Kate-Hope Nick is feeling better today. Poor little guy! Maybe its a good thing you DH is going away so Julia won't have to see him. Poor thing!

Thanks for the American Pie education. I would have too embarassed to ask. Thanks for the heads up on REI. I've been a member since college (probably close to 25 years....). I just ordered Lizzy a really nice pair of Tevas. They've got padding at the ankles and list for $50. They had last year's version in their "outlet" section for $29.93. When I went to the store for the pickup I purchased a new rain parka for me with the 20% off but I don't think she took my member number for that purchase so I think I may try the Nile style of Crocs on line. I didn't see that they had those in the store. I think my foot sweating problem would be less in the Niles as I generally don't have a problem with that.

DH took the kids to his Mom's again today and I'm supposed to be doing laundry and learning how to use Photoshop elements. I told a friend I'd make a birthday party invitation. I better get learning......

Imagine me really whining here (because I am ;) ): I don't care what other people think when they look at me, I still feel fat. Why don't I feel cute this time around????!!!!

Amy :)

Frankly? Because it's not your first. With your first pregnancy, you are all excited and can't wait, etc. After that one, you know what's coming, you know all about the sleepless nights when you hit the third trimester, the heartburn that's coming, the having to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes, etc. It's just not that romantic anymore.

However, you shouldn't feel fat until your doctor starts doing some things she thinks are funny. Example? When I was pregnant with the twins, and still had about 4 months to go, she decided to measure me from top to bottom (like usual), then, "for kicks" she decides to measure me from side to side. That measurement was larger than the top to bottom. That's when I knew that I was not cute pregnant, I was FAT! Now I look at the pictures of me right before delivery and wonder how I was able to walk at all. Of course, there were 2 babies, but still. I was HUGE!

Cool - thanks :) The auction has a couple of days to run and I bet the price goes up as there's already two people bidding but I'll see if I can get them for less than the £29 (inc p&p) I've seen on a couple of proper websites.

I figure if they don't fit I can just resell them on ebay!

Kate and whoever else ordered those WDW DVD's from eBay a while ago, do you like them? Who did you get them from?

The mri I had showed some damage to my ankle bone and my achilles tendon is inflamed. :sad2: :sad2: No fun for me right now. I don't know how long I'm going to be in this brace. Sure can't walk around Disney like this....

I just went through more than 100 pages!!! I didn't want to quote and reply because I knew I would never catch up. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Sending :wizard: that your ankle has a speedy recovery.

Because you are older, and the fun of being pregnant wore off with delivery of the first one!

Where do you buy clothes for your girls???

I went shopping for Megan (10) and Grace(6) yesterday in Charlotte. I did buy Megan 1 outfit at abercromie, she had to have it! And she'll have to wear it a ton! But for everyday things, I guess we need to stick with Old Navy and Target. I was so disappointed with the department stores. Once in a while i find some good things at TJ Maxx for Megan, but it is a shot in the dark. Any suggestions. I like to but them outfits or pieces that match.

I was also very disappointed in gymboree yesterday. Thanks!
Disny Store have anything cute now? I am headed back to Charlotte next week and could try to find the Disney store.
I like Kohl's for my girl, but they don't have much other than ugly tshirts for boys. Oh, and Hecht's too, when they have sales.

Kate and Amy - you two will appreciate this. We were at church this morning and after Alyssa did "peace be with you" with the older teenage boy in front of us, she turns to me and whispers "he looks like the Getcha Getcha Head in the Game boy." :rotfl2: (And he did) I couldn't help but chuckle right then. Even my 3 year old can pick 'em!!!

Do you work the nursery - cause you know you aren't supposed to play during church don't you?!? ;)

Yes, I do. Not always, but about once every 2 months :goodvibes

Do you have a H&M in a mall near you? I never used to go in because I didn't realize they had kids things (I don't think all stores do) but they've got some really cute things and are very reasonable. And they have some great Disney things too. I got my girls Pooh outfits for our last trip. Lizzy's (6) was a pleated white skirt and Emma's (3) was a white sailor dress. I've also purchased cute Disney T's (should I admit that here???), hats, socks....Try a store search at hm.com They only list stores by city name not state.

How about Lands End. If you order online and need to return you can do that at Sears and not have to pay postage.

Not the best photo but it was the only one that showed the Pooh on Lizzy's skirt and you can kinda tell that Pooh is hiding behind Emma's hand. Those are from H&M...
