Ok, people. So many of you here have recommended Crocs. I went to the website and read all the info, and now I'm really intrigued by them. I have decided to get some for our June trip to Disneyland. I now need some advice from you Croc lovers. What style is the best? How soon do I need to order them to get them broken in? Do the sizes run pretty true? Any other advice would be appreciated.

I would try it once - just for the thrill.

I did it in 2001. Hated it! But that was before Lizzy's love of thrill rides. I rode ToT & Splash with her last trip. Made DH take her on Space and on ToT & Splash a 2nd time. I'll take her on anything she wants. I never thought thrill rides were a Mom requirement. :teeth: I think I should try Space and RnR again on my early May trip to be ready for her. OH and Everest of course. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My baby is feeling a bit better but looks like death warmed over. I already called her in sick from school tommorow....this teacher thing is driving me nuts...since starting middle school she has gotten one teacher a year we struggle with. My biggest problem is the kids are reminded over and over before CSAP's not to be stressed, get enough sleep etc. and this teacher told them if they didn't come in for the test today it was extra stressful testing on Wednesday...I'm trying to figure out his logic :confused3 .

Oh well it is Monday and it can only look up from here right?

Oh Yeah, I do not get these teachers at all!!! I have a son who is very bright. He is going on a trip with his grandparetns all next week during standardized testing. I figured good week, he can test early, miss no instruction etc. I asked the principal in advance and she was fine witht the arrangements.

A teacher says to him...You know children who test witht their class do better!!!! :confused3 What the heck??!!?!!

And..get this...my kids go to private school, they don't need to test, so technically, they could skip it all together, but Brian is bright so they definitely want his scores!!!

And wait there is more...today he took the first set, he told the teacher, these stories sound so familiar...they gave him the 5th grade test!!! He is a 6th grader!!!!!!!!! Noe he has to take the 6th grade test tomorrow!! Fortunately they listened to him and he only took one section!! :confused3 :confused3

Hooray for Kyle matching!!!

I love this group I learn so much every day....I had no idea the stress that goes on for doctors(and their families) in finding residencies!!

When my DH was in Medical School my sister (queen Kate) said if he ever leaves you, we are all standing up and saying, she really did put him through medical school!! She deserves more than half of what he makes forever!!! :rotfl2:
People really don't realize what a long hard road it can be for a doctor & his family!

Jim has boards on March 28, we could use prayers and pixie Dust here! He is on his way home now and thinks his ulcer has flared up! It is so stressful!!

LOVE those! Bet someone could come up some cute Halloween design too.

Oh that's a great idea! If I ever figure out how to design, maybe one with the Mickey pumpkins as the heads.

The styles are very similar except for the obvious things you see. I bought the Beach ones first, since they are the cheapest. I wasn't crazy about the holes all over, though, so my next pair was different. They are all equally as comfy though, and I wear them all day at the hospital!

I don't think the sizes run true at all. I mean, they are sometimes close or right on.... but some styles have actual sizes, and others have S, M, L etc. My advice is always to look on the Crocs site to find a retailer nearby. Even if you don't buy the style at that store, you can try them on. I have 3 different styles, and they are 3 different sizes :confused3 :rotfl: This is DEFINITELY the biggest thing I can suggest.

You don't really need to break them in at all.... they truly are amazing! :goodvibes

He will definitely be in our prayers! It's the last set though, no?! :cool1: He can do it! That said, I'm glad we don't have more testing (Kyle anyway) for a while now...... :wizard:

Did I already answer you -

the answer is ABSOLUTELY!!

I can usually speak for my sisteron this topic, we don't mind hanging out with 7 year olds ( on a girls only trip!!!!!), just as long as it is not our own!!!! :rotfl2:

Glynis - I have the Beach Crocs. (Got them at Dick's Sporting Goods so I could try them before I bought.) The mediums fit me perfectly, and I'm an 8 1/2. The Aspens (no holes in the shoes) on the other hand, I couldn't find a size to fit my feet properly at all! Just remember, they are supposed to be BIG. Make sure your toes arn't crunched when you put the strap on around your feet.

You've got it, Nancy! Pixie dust and prayers for Jim will be added to our daily prayers. I love being able to pray for people. It's such a blessing in my life.

Good Luck to Jim -- prayers and PD his way!!!

Kristin --- LOVE the new Christmas design based on Kevin's design. May we use it for our Christmas trip?

On a different note, my grandfather isn't doing to good. His prostate cancer is flaring up, and causing a backup of fluids which is basically poisoning his blood system and causing him to be dilusional (sp?). He had surgery yesterday, which didn't help since he was taken to the ER this morning. Still waiting on the call to see how he's doing from today. Hopefully his second surgery (laser) will be rescheduled from the 24th to tomorrow or the day after. Send prayers and pixiedust: his way!

I was wondering if I ought to try them on before ordering from the site. The only retailer nearby is a Nordstrom's, and I definitely CANNOT afford their prices. I'm hoping that the website will be cheaper even with shipping.

Thanks for your advice. What's your favorite style?

That is good to know. I wondered how they were supposed to fit. Which style do you like best?

Well....I have AWESOME news!! My mom doesn't have cancer....they have no idea what her symptoms are related to :confused3 but she doesn't have cancer!! Now all she has to do is figure out what is wrong.

Glynis -- I am NOT the most knowledgable about Crocs, but wanted to tell you my experience with them. I went to Nordstrom to try some on since I had heard so much about them. They only had the kind with the holes in them, but I tried them on and thought they were so comfortable. Since that is the only place you know has them near you, I would go there so you have an idea of size and if they will work for you. Then go online and find them cheaper. I did buy a pair, and had to go up 1/2 size. I had to get 9s, (I wear 8 or 8 1/2) so that my toes wouldn't feel like they were trying to sink in to the holes. They are extremely comfortable and did not require breaking them in.
