Well....I have AWESOME news!! My mom doesn't have cancer....they have no idea what her symptoms are related to :confused3 but she doesn't have cancer!! Now all she has to do is figure out what is wrong.

That is terrific! Congrats! And I hope they can figure out what it is so she feels better.

Thanks a lot. I made the change. Does it look better? I also made two different ones. Which one looks better? Would you change anything?

On a different note, my grandfather isn't doing to good. His prostate cancer is flaring up, and causing a backup of fluids which is basically poisoning his blood system and causing him to be dilusional (sp?). He had surgery yesterday, which didn't help since he was taken to the ER this morning. Still waiting on the call to see how he's doing from today. Hopefully his second surgery (laser) will be rescheduled from the 24th to tomorrow or the day after. Send prayers and pixiedust: his way!

I'm so sorry things aren't going so well. I will definitely add him to my prayers!

Hooray! That is so wonderful! I'm so happy for her and for you. Now I'll just pray that the doctors can find out what is wrong with her.

Glynis -- I am NOT the most knowledgable about Crocs, but wanted to tell you my experience with them. I went to Nordstrom to try some on since I had heard so much about them. They only had the kind with the holes in them, but I tried them on and thought they were so comfortable. Since that is the only place you know has them near you, I would go there so you have an idea of size and if they will work for you. Then go online and find them cheaper. I did buy a pair, and had to go up 1/2 size. I had to get 9s, (I wear 8 or 8 1/2) so that my toes wouldn't feel like they were trying to sink in to the holes. They are extremely comfortable and did not require breaking them in.

Thanks so much! I will head to Nordstrom's after my doctor's appointment on Thursday. I appreciate you all so much, taking the time to answer my question.

Thanks everybody on all the compliments to my earlier posted design. I'll be happy to do a copy for anybody. Just PM me.

Monica -- your names look great!

Now, here is our other tee design. I'm thinking that the previous one is actually going to be a front of a shirt not the back. I just like it too much. That also means, the designing is complete for our trip. Yeah!!!

Now, I must crop picures for autograph books. Only 9 days left. But I've got to go to bed -- I do have to work tomorrow.

I can't believe it...I had a car accident with my neighbor this morning!!!!!!!!!!! I looked into my rear view mirror, it was clear...put my car in reverse and all of a sudden SMASH!! She pulled into my driveway the split second I went pulling out...I think by law it is considered my fault. My car probably has about $1000 damage..her car is in bad shape. I drive a Durango, she drives little car so I creamed her. I am totally depressed!

Kristine

I hope everything is ok now. Sorry to hear this happend.

Did you miss me? :rotfl: I had a wonderful, fantastic, awesome trip. The weather was in the 70's and sunny all week. A little windy but I'll take that over the 6" of snow that have already fallen this morning. We visited all 4 theme parks several times each, played at both water parks, enjoyed shopping at Downtown Disney, relaxed at our resort and caught a performance of LaNouba.

I met Lindsay (Tinkaroo) & Jonathon at the La Nouba performance. It was wonderful - she is a very nice person. My daughter wants me to tell Lindsay that she & her husband are gorgeous - Lindsay I've now told you. Lindsay & I got our picture taken together and I'll post that when I get it from my DD20. She has all our pictures downloaded on her laptop and because of flight delays had to leave immediately upon our return home last night for college with no time to burn a CD before she left - she didn't make it to the dorm until 1:30am.

No time to catch up now (899 posts in 60 pages). I have to catch up for work first. I'll be on later to see how my DDA friends are doing. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone. Take care. Vicki

Glad to hear you had such a good time. Welcome back.

Lots of prayers and pixie dust for your grandpa. I hope that the surgery helps relieve his suffering.

Helloooo DDA!

We are back from another magical trip at the World, and I am unfortunately already suffering those post-Disney blues. I cried like a baby at the end of Wishes on our last night  , and then wanted to commit bodily harm to all those checking into the Poly yesterday with their welcome leis around their necks! :rolleyes1

And someone actually thinks I'm going to be able to wait until late 2007 to return?!?!?! :faint:

I guess the one good thing about being home is that I have something like a 100 pages of DDA chit chat to catch up on! :p However, as it might take me FOREVER with all the laundry, piled up crises at work, etc. - if anyone wants to give me a CliffNotes version, that would be great!

Hope all are well! :goodvibes

Lindsay

Nice to hear you had a good time. I hope your PDB is over now, just know you are never alone in PDB and that this is a good place to help.:goodvibes (I say that knowing that I still have PDB and it's been two months for me):teeth:

Just wanted to share that Kyle did match. We still have to wait until Thursday to find out where, but we don't have to scramble! Keep those students in your prayers, though, that did not match. The next few days are going to be quite tough for them, one of Kyle's friends included.

This is a good thing.... right? If so, YEAH!!!

I am going to share my designs here, but I won't add them to my design gallery until after our trip. These designs will probably go on the front of a shirt and the character name with clipart that I did before will go on the back.

Kevin's Mickey Head design yesterday triggered these designs. I wanted something for each of us with our favorite characters, but I wanted a common connection so that we would still match. So what do you all think?

Deb

Deb, I love your designs. Way cool!!!

Okay now it's my turn to ask if I am overreacting:

On my return this weekend from my retreat I found out Cassidy had been running a fever all weekend. I told her at 5 last night I was calling her in sick today. She absolutely FREAKED!! "mom I have to go to school I have a test tommorow in Social Studies and if I miss it I have to make it up Wednesday at 7 (in the morning) and it will be all essays." Normally I wouldn't think anything about it other than it being odd...but this is the week of CSAPs(state mandated testing) so she not only would have to do that test but then go into school and do 4-5 hours of mandatory testing. Against my better judgement I let her go in today to do the test(which of course :confused3 was near the end of the day) she now will be out tommorow and maybe later from school from the state mandated tests. Am I nuts?

No you are not nuts. But if she's sick, then everything can be made up. I sure hope she is feeling better now.

That is good to know. I wondered how they were supposed to fit. Which style do you like best?

I've only tried the Beach and the Aspens, and the Beach (holey one's) fit me better. The Aspens didn't fit my feet. I am curious to try the flip flops they got out too.

Dumby the pictures are great. It looks like you had a great trip.

So did anyone else decide to go on the DDA trip? I'm losing count. It sounds like so much fun. You will all have a great time.

Deb

I really want to go. Only thing holding me back is whether or not I can get off from work on those dates. I have no idea how long it will take to know if I have the time off. Things have been moving really slow. I only have to worry about the full time job because I will just say I can't work at the part time. That is if I am even at either of these places anymore.

I already have Disney tickets. Just need a flight. I might or might not need a place to stay, depending if I can work it out with friends down there.

Just have to work out the work issue. By then we better have another employee or two. Otherwise it definitely is a no go.

So who knows, whether or not I can actually go and when I will know whether or not I can go. :confused3 :sad2:

Just had to share this with you.

DH plays in a marching band. In fact it is the second oldest band in the US. They (New Holland Band, Pa) are celebrating their 150th year. This means a lot of celebrating this year. They even made a 37 minute film which they will show later this year. They are even going to try to get it on PBS.
The members range in age from 13 to 91. Naturally the older ones do not march anymore :lmao:
My DH is so into music that when he passes on, he wants the band to play a few numbers for him. They all have that in their wills, I swear.

So Sunday was their annual Spring Concert. The music was excellent, good choices were played. They always end with Stars and Stripes.
This song really gets to me. I can still remember Andy playing the Bass Drum at his daughter's funeral and wacking the he// out of it.
That is what music means to me

I will send Ellie your DH's way, she in only four and loves music so much. When she was just about eight months she was sitting on my bed while I was watching a PBS special about Andrew Lloyd Weber and folding her cloth diapers (don't laugh). They played a Phantom of the Opera song (Music of the Night) and she was glued to the TV. I had played her lots of PTO pre-birth because we we like it so much, the only thing I could think is that she remembered the song. I think her future will be in music one way or another.
Glad to hear DH loves music so much.
