I hear you. I hate to pay for parking at Drs. offices. Luckily My OB is a group of 6 women Drs. I like all of them. One of the perks of working in that field. Maybe switch family dr.s to a female as they can do your paps and prescribe your birth control as well.

I love my GYN!!! She is still in Salt Lake where we used to live, so it takes me 45 minutes to get to her office for visits. Alan keeps asking me to find a doctor closer to our house, but I tell him that once you find a GYN that you trust, it's really hard to change! It's a very personal relationship, and I don't feel like changing that! It's worth it to me to make my appointments, and then shuffle my day around to accomodate that appointment!

My family Dr. is a female, but she is an infectious disease specialist (I met her doing all my AIDS charity stuff, and since she is close by and on my insurance I just go to her). She doesn't handle ANY "female" stuff, which is why she referred me to the guy. BUT I just found on my insurance website that the lady who USED to practice with him now has her OWN practice. She is closed on Monday so I will call her tomorrow and see if she is taking new patients.

I wouldn't mind driving IF 1) I only had to go once a year instead of quarterly for my shots and 2) if I thought her office was billing me properly and 3) if they returned calls from the pharmacy PROMPTLY. And the nurse practitioner quit. She was the person I usually saw - not the Dr. All those factors combined make it pretty clear that it is time to SWITCH. But I need to have my shot this week no matter what, so that will be my priority. Maybe I will just tell them to authorize ONE more shot, and tell them I will have to have my exam another time because this morning was really the only convenient time for me. Then I will book an exam with a NEW Dr. and get my prescriptions from the new one going forward. That sounds good. Because I know the new Dr. will insist on an exam before she will prescribe anything for me, and they won't give me the shot with a med prescribed by someone else.

good luck.

I have never made pancakes completely from scratch. I usually buy the box mix that you just add water to. How easy are they from scratch. Any idea and recipes would be great. I am getting excited as it will be a gift all year and relitavly inexpensive.

I use Bisquick. You just add milk and an egg and stir it up. I also like to add vanilla extract. If I can do it ANYONE can do it. I would imagine making them from scratch is just 3 or 4 more ingredients.

Since a bunch of us are staying at POP, will anyone be decorating their window? I was just thinking about it as I have a lime green wipe off board sitting on my kitchen table that could be placed on our room door :rolleyes1 Then I'm thinking how much time will I actually be at POP :confused3
And what are the chances that we are even in the same building?

So I have done nothing this morning except cook some scrambled eggs. I was nauseated when I got up but was hungry as well. Thought that eating would help. but nooooo!!!! So I have been laying on the couch Dising since eating. Luckily my Blood sugar was 115 since I did not walk around after eating. Luckily I still have about an 1 1/2 before I need to start getting ready for work. I hope the nausea goes away soon.

When we stay at Pop I request: 70's section, 4th floor, on the end farthest away from the elevator. The Mickey Phone building is my favorite.:)
In 2005 when we were there in October they put us WAAAAYY out in the Roger Rabbit building because I didn't bother to request anything. Big mistake.

oh I have some banana extract I could add. I might have to try the vanilla some time. Or maybe cinnamon.

ICK! :scared: I can think of nothing worse than eating eggs when you are nauseated. It's making me queasy just thinking about it!:scared1: I hope you feel better soon!:wizard:

I have added mashed fresh banana to the Bisquick pancakes before. They turn out great!:)

I had my one piece of toast with it. Yeah not the best thing to eat. but if its all your allowed you force yourself to eat it. Got to get the protein.

Pancakes from scratch are seriously almost as easy as pancakes from the box mix!

Here's the recipe:

Brown sugar oatmeal pancakes

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons quick-cooking oats
1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 C. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 C. buttermilk

In a small bowl, combine the oats, flours, bakin soda, salt and sugar. In another small bowl, beat the egg, oil and buttermilk. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter by 1/3 cupful onto a greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top; cook until the second side is golden brown. Yield: 10 pancakes.

I also have a recipe for Toll House cookie pancakes! My kids love these as they really do taste like chocolate chip cookies! Let me know if you want it!

Glynis how is your Headache?

So far, so good! I do have a can of Diet Coke with Lime open on the counter. Just in case. I've been really good, and haven't had any caffiene for about 3 weeks, so I'd hate to break that record!

hi everyone-
the field trip went well and i am exhausted!! After work, im going for a jog and then no plans--i cant wait to get home!

I'm so sorry! I thought the nausea was gone! Too bad it had to come back!

So I think it will be 3 different coupon books.
Cookies
Desserts
Breakfast

I am still thinking of doing the night out with friends coupons as well.

I would like to do date night ones but my mom will already be watching the girls when We both have to work. So I don't know if she would be willing to watch them extra, though probably would. DB could probably handle Olivia but not Virginia. My cousin that moved back lives over an hour away so that's not an option.

Absolutely! You can use all white flour. No problem there.

Here's the tollhouse recipe!

Toll House Mini Morsel Pancakes

2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. semi-sweet mini morsels
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 C. milk
2 large eggs
1/3 C. vegetable oil
1/3 C. packed brown sugar

Combine flour, morsels, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Combine milk, eggs, vegetable oil and brown sugar in medium bowl; add to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter may be lumpy). Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat; brush lightly with vegetable oil. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto hot griddle; cook until bubbles begin to burst. Turn; continue to cook for about 1 minute longer or until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.

You can serve these with syrup, or sprinkle them with powdered sugar and top with strawberries. They are seriously yummy!

Do you have a waffle iron? If so, I'll pass along some waffle recipes, too!
