For those of you with older boys, to include husbands, that have video game chairs (that have speakers and motion), what do you recommend? I'm thinking of getting one for Nicholas for either his bday or Christmas.

Boy this sounds familiar! Hopefully ds will learn his lesson & not let this happen again. I can't count on my fingers how many times I have gone through this. I finally got to where I checked myself.

I don't think he even had this written in the planner. I don't know what jogged his memory at bedtime tonight. In 5 minutes it will be "lights out" and he will have to face the consequences of it being incomplete.

Tom - Tammi is right - the food at Sci Fi is marginal at best. When we went in February DH sat behind me and I sat with DS. I had to turn completely backwards to talk to DH. DS LOVES old movies (Godzilla, King Kong, Mothra, whatever) so he thinks the movie clips are the best thing EVER. I don't imagine Leighanna is into that sort of thing, so you could probably skip it.

Adian update:

September 03, 2007 at 09:07 PM CDT

Today was a really good day. We had a great time hanging out with Aidan, Naomi got to wash him, Mya got to lay with him and I, well I got to do another Trach change attempt. Well this time went much more smoothly then last time and I got about 80-90% of it done correctly, needed help with a few minor things, but got the Trach out and in without a hitch or any other hands coming in to assist me.

It was difficult however for one of the children on the floor. Naomi went to get to get a drink and when walking by a private room noticed the alarm going off. When she peaked her head in the room, she noticed the child was starting to turn purple and grabbed a nurse. The nurse thought it was something simple, but the moment she got in the room, called for help. Soon the room was abuzz and they were calling a "Code Blue" and asking for the "Crash" cart. The little girl was just doing what Aidan did a few weeks back, but it was awfully scary for all the families in the unit. You could watch the mother's hold their children a little bit tighter and makes me feel more comfortable about not getting that private room I thought was so important.

On a side note we found out this evening we will be loosing another important part of our family. Our Daughter's therapist is having to take some time away for personal reason's and we ask that all of you add a special prayer for her and her family.

You will also see we added some new pictures of our precious SMILING child.

Now I am even madder. (As if that's even possible.) DS just admitted to me that 1) the assignment was not written in the planner BUT 2) he remembered this afternoon that it wasn't finished! He left at 4:30 to go to the bookstore with DH KNOWING he had incomplete homework. Then when they came back he watched Pirates on DVD, had dinner, took a shower, had some ice cream. ALL THAT TIME he knew his homework wasn't finished. I told him this better not EVER happen again. He knows how mad I am. I would hope he realizes it is absolutely in his best interest NOT to make me mad like this again.

Depending on the time of year, I would love a few days at the shore. My DD says the Outer Banks is about a 8 hour drive from here. I just love Cape May, very quaint shops and just awesome restaurants.

The only bad time for me is the first week of June. School B&A Care ends and Summer Camp starts the next week. Everyone forgets they need to get their kids registered and we get swamped
Actually that happens both for the summer and school year

I had the most relaxing time this weekend. Made Chicken Pot Pie on Saturday and Carol made Zucchini Lasagna on Sunday. I will write more tomorrow and post a picture of the puppies.

Sorry - no advice here! Not only do we not have one, we don't know anyone else who has one, either!

DS has finally gone to bed. I worte a note to the teacher who marked him absent on Friday and asked her to correct it. I will also call the attendance office tomorrow and tell them it was an error. With my luck it will stay on his record.
