8/26
We woke up at 7am since we didnt hear the 6:30am wake up call. Breakfast at the lounge (did I mention I love the BC concierge lounge!!!) We hopped on the bus to AK. We had great luck with the buses the whole time we were there. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes. We only used the buses for MK, AK, & DTD. We got there at 8:50am.
Dana & Daniel were off to ride EE first
(I thought it would be too much for Sophie) so I & the girls took a leisurely stroll over to Dinoland to wait for the boys. On the way we met Pooh & Eeyore.
Once at Dinoland the girls rode Triceratops spin several times.
We all rode Primeval Whirl but once it all I can manage on that ride. Last year Daniel was tall enough for PW & Sophie was not but this was her year! She now met the height requirement & she was thrilled!
So the boys come back from EE. I asked Daniel how he liked & he said OK.

I guess hes more a Space Mountain & Mission Space kind of kid. I then rode EE alone on the single rider line while Dana took the kids on Primeval Whirl (the kids would ride that all day if we let them!) Anyway, I rode EE (it was great, but ToT reigns supreme) & when I got back to Dinoland they were just boarding the ride vehicle

. It took me less time to walk from Dinoland to EE, ride it, & walk back to Dinoland than it took for Dana & the kids to ride PW once! Katie loves Dinosaur so we all rode that. Not my favorite thats for sure
I am too old for such loud noises!

Sophie had her eyes closed & tucked her head by my side & when we got out she said she liked it!
We got a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari. The safari is always fun. We got a good look at the lion on his rock. Usually he is lying down but he was rather active which was surprising due to the heat.
Lunch was at 11am at Pizzafari. The kids had pizzas which were yummy while Dana & I had a Caesar salad. It was fairly empty & we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. I like Pizzafari but I miss my favorite Tusker House. I was very sad to see that gone. We got a look at the construction site where the Yak & Yeti will be. The place looks huge!!!! Hopefully we will try that on our next trip. . We FP Kali & went to go see the Nemo show. We were up more than half way over to the right. The place was packed & the way they seated people was disorganized but the show was wonderful! The music was Broadway quality & the performers/puppets were amazingly creative. We all loved it! We left singing In the big blue world all day. Now it was time for our FP at Kali. The wait for standby by 60 minutes! Everyone was hot & they wanted to get wet. At the same time of day there was only a 20 minute wait for EE, go figure! All of my group wanted to get wet except me so who got all wet? Me! We got some ice cream & then walked through the Pangali trail.
Can you see the Hidden Mickey?
It was nice & shady there which was a nice relief. We saw bats, tigers, deer, & these (loud) Asian monkeys. The guide we spoke with said that their voices can be heard for up to 2 miles away! (hey they must be related to my kids!).
The plan was to leave AK early so we headed out by 2:30pm or so & took the bus back to the Beach Club. Ahhh finally time for some shopping! Dana was going to hang out but I told him to get a drink & relax in the lobby as I was going to be awhile! I got my essentials, 2008 photo album, antenna toppers, Steamboat Willie statue (for our Disney themed TV/playroom), several pins for me & the kids, & a mug. The Beach Club Market Place was offering a lithograph with 4 pins on it for $15 with a $55 purchase & a Mickey frame for $5 with purchase so I picked those up as well. I like this store since its small, they have most of what I need, & the staff is just great. So friendly & helpful every time we walked in! I saw my favorite CM Teena again in the lobby & as we were chatting it started to pour outside. So on went the ponchos & we were off to Spoodles for dinner. This was another adr I was nervous about because of some reviews I have read. Well I should stop reading reviews because it was great. We had a nice server from Brooklyn who once he found out we were Met fans said hed take even better care of us! He was very personable & quick with refills.
The food was delicious. For appetizers we shared the Mediterranean Dips - with toasted pita, & marinated olives, & the hummus. (YUM!) Dana, Katie, & I all got the Oak-fired Steak Kabobs - with multigrain pilaf, balsamic red onions and harissa . They were great about getting Danas rare, my medium, & Katies well done just right. Daniel & Sophie had cheese pizzas & ice cream. Desserts for the adults (Katies an adult?) were Chocolate Apricot Pistachio Cake (Delicious!),
White Chocolate Orange Cake
& Vanilla Bean Creme Brule . All were great. The restaurant was open to the kitchen & we had a huge dining long dining table to spread out & enjoy our meal. After dinner (it was still raining) we popped into the Boardwalk shop for some more pins & walked back to the BC. Of course we made our usual stop at the lounge. I loved having a decaf cappucino after dinner & being able to just sit & enjoy it while the kids were entertained by the kiddie table. We took showers & watched Illuminations in our PJs on the balcony. The kids were asleep by 9:30pm. I sat on the balcony while Dana was checking his emails (he had alot going on with work so he had to check in during the trip) Anyway, I watched the people coming back to the resort from there long day at the park & some heading out to the pool that night. I loved people watching from up there & seeing the boats moving across cresent lake was so calming after a crazy park day.
