Well, just when DS starts to get a handle on things they juggle him all around!

They changed him to that other math teacher, but now his math and reading classes have switched places. So he has a new math and a new reading teacher. The math teacher walked down to the couselor's office with DS today to help him get his schedule sorted out, then the counselor pulled him out of band later in the day because they didn't realize he had straightened it out earlier. Do those people not talk to each other?:confused3 I guess the teachers planned to switch him, but then they missed telling him math is 3rd period now and reading is 4th. I forgot to ask him if that changes his lunch. He basically went to reading twice today and never had a math class. Hopefully they will get it all settled by the end of this week so next week he can have some normalcy!
:wizard: that DS gets into some sort of a routine. And soon!

Wow, I hope they his schedule straightened out soon.:wizard:

I love to scrapbook. I wish I had more time.

Anyway, with all the talk about kids and the such, one of my friends asked me to send her pics of the pages that I've done for my kids that show their writing, drawing or self portraits. I love to document things that they do and try to incorporate their writing and drawings into my pages.

The one page of Owen with the school buses was an "Owen original". :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We woke up at 7am since we didn’t hear the 6:30am wake up call. Breakfast at the lounge (did I mention I love the BC concierge lounge!!!) We hopped on the bus to AK. We had great luck with the buses the whole time we were there. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes. We only used the buses for MK, AK, & DTD. We got there at 8:50am.

Dana & Daniel were off to ride EE first
IMG_0874.jpg

(I thought it would be too much for Sophie) so I & the girls took a leisurely stroll over to Dinoland to wait for the boys. On the way we met Pooh & Eeyore.
IMG_0839.jpg

IMG_0840.jpg

Once at Dinoland the girls rode Triceratops spin several times.
IMG_0843.jpg

We all rode Primeval Whirl but once it all I can manage on that ride. Last year Daniel was tall enough for PW & Sophie was not but this was her year! She now met the height requirement & she was thrilled!

IMG_0846.jpg

So the boys come back from EE. I asked Daniel how he liked & he said “OK”.:confused3 I guess he’s more a Space Mountain & Mission Space kind of kid. I then rode EE alone on the single rider line while Dana took the kids on Primeval Whirl (the kids would ride that all day if we let them!) Anyway, I rode EE (it was great, but ToT reigns supreme) & when I got back to Dinoland they were just boarding the ride vehicle:eek: . It took me less time to walk from Dinoland to EE, ride it, & walk back to Dinoland than it took for Dana & the kids to ride PW once! Katie loves Dinosaur so we all rode that. Not my favorite that’s for sure… I am too old for such loud noises! :lmao: Sophie had her eyes closed & tucked her head by my side & when we got out she said she liked it!
IMG_0849.jpg

We got a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari. The safari is always fun. We got a good look at the lion on his rock. Usually he is lying down but he was rather active which was surprising due to the heat.
IMG_0868.jpg

Lunch was at 11am at Pizzafari. The kids had pizzas which were yummy while Dana & I had a Caesar salad. It was fairly empty & we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. I like Pizzafari but I miss my favorite Tusker House. I was very sad to see that gone. We got a look at the construction site where the Yak & Yeti will be. The place looks huge!!!! Hopefully we will try that on our next trip. . We FP Kali & went to go see the Nemo show. We were up more than half way over to the right. The place was packed & the way they seated people was disorganized but the show was wonderful! The music was Broadway quality & the performers/puppets were amazingly creative. We all loved it! We left singing “In the big blue world” all day. Now it was time for our FP at Kali. The wait for standby by 60 minutes! Everyone was hot & they wanted to get wet. At the same time of day there was only a 20 minute wait for EE, go figure! All of my group wanted to get wet except me so who got all wet? Me! We got some ice cream & then walked through the Pangali trail.
IMG_0875.jpg

Can you see the Hidden Mickey?
IMG_0877.jpg

IMG_0878.jpg

It was nice & shady there which was a nice relief. We saw bats, tigers, deer, & these (loud) Asian monkeys. The guide we spoke with said that their voices can be heard for up to 2 miles away! (hey they must be related to my kids!).
IMG_0871.jpg

The plan was to leave AK early so we headed out by 2:30pm or so & took the bus back to the Beach Club. Ahhh finally time for some shopping! Dana was going to hang out but I told him to get a drink & relax in the lobby as I was going to be awhile! I got my essentials, 2008 photo album, antenna toppers, Steamboat Willie statue (for our Disney themed TV/playroom), several pins for me & the kids, & a mug. The Beach Club Market Place was offering a lithograph with 4 pins on it for $15 with a $55 purchase & a Mickey frame for $5 with purchase so I picked those up as well. I like this store since its small, they have most of what I need, & the staff is just great. So friendly & helpful every time we walked in! I saw my favorite CM Teena again in the lobby & as we were chatting it started to pour outside. So on went the ponchos & we were off to Spoodles for dinner. This was another adr I was nervous about because of some reviews I have read. Well I should stop reading reviews because it was great. We had a nice server from Brooklyn who once he found out we were Met fans said he’d take even better care of us! He was very personable & quick with refills.
IMG_0885.jpg

The food was delicious. For appetizers we shared the Mediterranean Dips - with toasted pita, & marinated olives, & the hummus. (YUM!) Dana, Katie, & I all got the Oak-fired Steak Kabobs - with multigrain pilaf, balsamic red onions and harissa . They were great about getting Dana’s rare, my medium, & Katie’s well done just right. Daniel & Sophie had cheese pizzas & ice cream. Desserts for the “adults” (Katie’s an adult?) were Chocolate Apricot Pistachio Cake (Delicious!),
IMG_0888.jpg

White Chocolate Orange Cake
IMG_0887.jpg

& Vanilla Bean Creme Brule . All were great. The restaurant was open to the kitchen & we had a huge dining long dining table to spread out & enjoy our meal. After dinner (it was still raining) we popped into the Boardwalk shop for some more pins & walked back to the BC. Of course we made our usual stop at the lounge. I loved having a decaf cappucino after dinner & being able to just sit & enjoy it while the kids were entertained by the kiddie table. We took showers & watched Illuminations in our PJ’s on the balcony. The kids were asleep by 9:30pm. I sat on the balcony while Dana was checking his emails (he had alot going on with work so he had to check in during the trip) Anyway, I watched the people coming back to the resort from there long day at the park & some heading out to the pool that night. I loved people watching from up there & seeing the boats moving across cresent lake was so calming after a crazy park day.

Wow!!!! That is great!!!!!

Well, John just went to step outside to have a smoke and he meet with a bear, tearing into our garbage can. :scared1: Lucky for him the bear was scared and ran off.

8/27
Today was spent the morning at SAB. We all swam in the sand bottom section & the kids played later in the pirate ship section with the small slide.
IMG_0897.jpg

IMG_0913.jpg

IMG_0895.jpg

Daniel & Sophie wanted to go down the big slide but we were hesitant as they are not good swimmers. After finding out you can get life vests for the kids we all went down the jib (big) slide several time. They loved it! The life vests also allowed Daniel & Sophie to got into the whirl pool too which they wouldn’t have been able to since they can’t touch the bottom. It was so nice to be able to swim in all areas of the pool & not just the shallow section.

IMG_0920.jpg

IMG_0921.jpg

The water was refreshing & no one wanted to get out, but we did for lunch. We had chicken strips & the chicken wrap at Hurricane Hannah’s. They serve the chicken with a pail & shovel for the kids which is so cute! We grabbed a seat by the pool & the food was good.

IMG_0928.jpg

Sophie was hysterically frightened of the ducks that were begging under her feet. She could not be calmed down so we kept shooing them away. We did not feed them & eventually they wandered away, but anytime one got too close she would shriek!
IMG_0923.jpg

And of course we had to stop at the lounge for some snack & to sit for awhile before heading out to Epcot. The kids watched some TV & Dana & I just vegged out for while. The kids did their masks & had their passports stamped this evening & we ate counter service (no adrs) . We explored all of World Showcase all night.

The plan for today was to go to MK & leave around 5pm for Kona. We did just that & had a great time. Before we left the resort the kids wanted to make some towel animals in the lobby. They had 2 CM's making towel animals for the kids & they got to decorate them with stickers. This was a big hit for my kids.
IMG_0973.jpg

IMG_0978.jpg

So we brought their creations back to the room & set out.

There was no line for the bus. I took these 2 pictures from the bus.
IMG_0980.jpg

IMG_0981.jpg

The crowds were much more manageable than last week which allowed us to get more rides & attractions in.

My score!:thumbsup2
IMG_0992.jpg

There were some long waits later in the day for the “mountains” but we used fast pass & it all worked very well. Instead of the monorail we took the boat over to the Polynesian which was much more relaxing. We explored the Poly a little before dinner. It was prettier than we remember when we stayed there 5 years ago. The lobby was bustling with people. We saw a lot of people leaving for that nights P&PP all dressed up in costumes. Dinner was delicious & the server was very friendly. We have always had a great meal at Kona & tonight was no exception.

IMG_1009.jpg

Katie found yet another hidden Mickey!
IMG_1011.jpg

We took a cab to the BC. We headed to the lounge but we were so stuffed that we just got drinks & watched some TV before going to our room for the night.:cloud9:

Amy, no flames here. My sister and I grew up eating raw batter of all sorts and we are just fine, thank you. To this day I prefer the batter to the actual baked product.

Great pictures of the kidlets too. :goodvibes

Jennifer, good thoughts for your doctor appointments. :wizard:

Terry, nice pictures, glad you had a good time.

Lindsay, glad you had a nice trip. :wizard: for your job.

8/29
LOEMH at MK. We got there at 7:30am. We were the only ones on the bus!
IMG_1013.jpg

The kids were given Mickey confetti to help open the park.
IMG_1014.jpg

We rode Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, IASW, Philharmagic & the teacups all by 9am.
IMG_1015.jpg

The characters were out playing with the kids. My gang got to play “redlight, green light” with Peter Pan & Wendy.
IMG_1019.jpg

IMG_1022.jpg

IMG_1031.jpg

IMG_1037.jpg

These shirts got more comments than any others. I had so many people ask me where in the park I bought them. Thank you to Pat who made the design!
IMG_1045.jpg

At 10am were in Toontown & had a 5 minute wait for the characters at the Toontown tent! (The wait had been 30-40 minutes all week so this was a great start to the day).

IMG_1059.jpg

IMG_1053.jpg

More rides on barnstormer. This felt like one of the hottest days yet & being so tired we were all a lot slower today. After a tasty lunch at Columbia Harbor house (which was empty at 11am) we did the Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Captain Jack Pirate Tutorial, & Tiki birds. We needed to sit in the AC because it was just too hot. I felt like it was overcoming me at one point so the Tiki birds were good for sitting in a cool dark space for a few minutes. Dole whips helped cool us down too!

IMG_1079.jpg

Later we went over to Main Street & shopped (where else!?) the pin store. I had asked if they had a P&PP pin (since we didn’t get one at the party) & they did. I explained to them we were at the party that got rained out & showed them my ticket. I got the one with Mickey & Minnie & another one with Stitch. I was so happy, I thought I missed out on them. We caught some of the parade.
IMG_1075.jpg

Dinner was at Crystal Palace, we waited about 20 minutes for our table. The buffet was fresh & yummy as always. We eat at CP every trip since Katie loves Pooh, Daniel loves Tigger, & Sophie loves Eeyore. I think they have similar personalities!
IMG_1084.jpg

IMG_1090.jpg

IMG_1092.jpg

We finished up in Tomorrowland with Buzz, COP, Laugh floor, & TTA (Space Mountain was down & we got to see it with the lights on).
IMG_1111.jpg

We watched Wishes on the Tomorrowland bridge which was very crowded. We were right under Tink when she flew by. The fireworks were amazing!
IMG_1128.jpg

It was super crowded & we made our way very slowly out of the MK & over to the bus. Back to the BC.

Robyn, glad to hear you are feeling better.

I agree with the teacher. Molly will probably see the others and want to do it also.

8/30
We were up at 8:30am and played in the pool until noon. By 1pm we were in Epcot, my families favorite park. (mine is the MK:rolleyes1 ) Now you could see the difference in crowds from last week once again. Much easier to get more done in less time, however the Land was crowded which it always seems to be. We rode Nemo with no wait, & right on to Test Track. We stopped at Innoventions so the kids could make a Plasticsworks robot.
IMG_1144.jpg

IMG_1145.jpg

We were hoping to use some of our CS dining credits at WS for lunch but since we were in FW we just ate at Electric Umbrella. Later that night was had dinner at Norway with the princesses which Sophie absolutely loved. She was most taken with Ariel as she had never seen her before with her legs in a dress.
IMG_1151.jpg

Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, & Cinderella came around to the tables while Belle took photos when you entered the restaurant.
IMG_1153.jpg

IMG_1157.jpg

The food here was wonderful. The rice cream is as good as we have heard!
IMG_1154.jpg

Another ride at Mexico & Maelstrom & we headed back to the Beach Club. We wanted to make the 8pm marshmallow campfire & 9pm showing of Nemo on the beach. This was so relaxing. The kids roasted their marshmallows.
IMG_1168.jpg

IMG_1164.jpg

IMG_1167.jpg

Raouf (BC CM) did such a great job helping the kids their roasted marshmallows. Last year he had played pool games with them in SAB & they (&I) remembered him. Like I said before the staff at the Beach Club are the best.

We watched Nemo under the stars & at one point had Illumination going on behind us. Daniel kept saying “there is entertainment everywhere!”
IMG_1171.jpg

After the movie we were done for the night. Everyone was so tired. I know I could have fallen asleep on the beach chair. Another great day at Disney.:cloud9:
