I get a solo trip to Disney for fall things and to see the Boo to You parade for the first time!
Hoping to get in Beak and Barrel and want to celebrate as a pirate or tavern wench. It will be Sept 16 hot. Ideas?

Think t shirt and shorts, we use as base due to heat. Some we ordered designed and some years I painted the shirts (once we were Chip and Mrs. Potts ~ I painted those, one year whole family was skeletons so bought black and I painted skeleton on front and back). We stayed well themed but simple.

We have done pirates aka Smee but there are lots of options.

Pirate printed tshirt from Amazon
Comfy black shorts (walmart gym style) that we shredded the bottom of legs
Pirate print socks
Pirate style hat, bandana etc.

As a local September is still very hot. I agree with Hopper: shorts, t-shirt and some light accessories will allow you to get your inner pirate on without wilting and being uncomfortable all night.

Yes, it is very hot in September. There are a lot of pirate costume tee shirts online. One of those with a dark pair of shorts or skort and maybe an eye patch or other easy accessories will be much cooler than a full costume while still allowing you to feel festive.

If you were able to get yourself a cotton or linen peasant blouse that might be light enough weight, then just add a short skirt or capri length pants + accessories as desired. A cummerbund type "corset" would probably look good over top to tie it all together. Trick is to not use the polyester halloween stuff because you will definitely sweat in it

This is the way. A light and airy peasant blouse and skirt will keep you cooler than a t-shirt tbqh because you’ll have airflow instead of having sweaty cotton blends sticking to you (moisture wicking liner shorts underneath to prevent chub rub). You don’t even really need a bodice if you think you’ll overheat in one, nearly anything can look piratey with enough accessories. Layer on some chintzy necklaces from Amazon or something and throw on a bandana and you’ll be fine.
