Welcome back Anne Marie! Look forward to hearing more about your trip.

Karen glad to hear the itching is going away. Congratulations to your friend!

Elin looks like you are having a relaxing day :thumbsup2

I did not go shopping today, cleaning the ceilings wore me out lol The boys are out playing & it has been so peaceful here. The weather is perfect, windows are open & the fresh air is coming in. Ah, I just love days like this.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get my shopping done!

I like your recap so I am going to say ditto!!

We have home improvements to do this weekend.:hippie: Have to winterize the outside, do some caulking, replace the basement window well cover, unload the wood for the fireplace and stack it nicely, fix the basement door, wash the deck, put the storm windows back in, feed the lawn, get the landscaping stones out of the fountain, pull the weeds under the trees, find out why the flood light for the flag isn't working (I replaced the ^&%^%& bulb!), clean out the refridgerator, get the drywall out of the basement, put a television downstairs in the scrapbooking room, finish painting the game room, change over my closets, go to Dutch Wonderland, have a cookout and nap.:flower3:

And pass Terry in post count while she isn't looking!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Forgot to mention, change my bedding from the summer Mickey to the fall Mickey. Clean off my dresser, send in my rebates, put pictures in my DISNEY frame and hang it up!!! :smickey: file and analysis my bills, box up and mail the guidebook I got for my almost grandson.:goodvibes

So far, these are the only things I've completed...

But did we have fun at Dutch Wonderland!!:dance3:

And guess what has opened out here! A Maggie Moo. Yummy!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

I will certainly pass along your suggestion, Stephanie! I am assuming they still have a stroller for Mitchel, but who kows? Kathrin HATED sitting in a stroller at WDW and Kristin would still use one if we got it. :rotfl:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Anne Marie - Cute pics! I am glad your flight home was OK!
I don't think I would book to go home quite that late because I don't like to fool with checking our carry-ons with Bell Services. DH's rule is that he MUST have one complete day to rest after WDW, but we usually come home in the early evening of the day before his "rest" day. Our flight left MCO at 5 PM and we were home by about 8 PM, but we gain an hour crossing to CST.
When do the kids go back to school?

Well I am off for the night. My MIL struck again this evening and it hasn't been pleasant. She mentioned before she left for England that when she returned both girls, Emma and Molly, could spend the night.

Up until now it has always just been Emma. She had been very insistent that she did not want Molly, I was under the impression that it was just because Molly is not one to sit still and you really can't let her out of your sight. In other words the complete opposite of Emma!

Anyway, fast forward to tonight and Eric gets a call from her. He asked his dad earlier in the week if the girls could stay Saturday night and he said I'll have mom call you but I don't see a problem. She lays into Eric with all this crap about "Why is that now I'm good enough to leave the girls with and before I wasn't" and a ton of other crap. Well She even told Eric that she refuses to keep Molly as she does not change diapers or potty train. What a witch! Apparently I am now a failure as a mother because my 3 yr old refuses to go on the potty.

So needless to say, the girls will not be going over there tomorrow nor anytime in the near future. I really thought this past Sunday, she called and invited the 5 of us to dinner, and the comments she made after coming home from Eric's sister were a turning point. I guess not.

Sorry for rambling! It's just been hell around here as I am also having issues with my mom and sister regarding my niece, Emma and Molly. That is a story for another day.

Have a great Friday night! See y'all in the morning.

I'm so sorry that your MIL struck again! I guess the good comments were too good to last.

I sure hope so!!:goodvibes

Welll...

If she gets snarky just tell her you know a little boy in Dallas who would APPRECIATE a grandma like you. If she is going to be contrary you could just move to Dallas and be that little boy's grandma...:rolleyes1

Elin - I'll be sure to call you up some afternoon and let you hear just how enthusiastic DS is!:rotfl2: He was trying to play the theme from Charlie Brown (and doing an OK job of it) but he wasn't trying to do the whole piece - just one little passage of about 12 notes. Over and over and over.:upsidedow

Happy Saturday DDA!

I don't think I've posted since Tuesday, the day Alyssa woke up from her nap with a fever and my SIL called and said she had strep throat...

Kevin stayed home Wednesday morning, just in case I had to take Alyssa to the doctor, but she woke up with no fever. He went to work, and by lunchtime, her temp was creeping up again. So I called the nurse and she said to come in Thursday if she still had it. Alyssa still had the fever Thursday morning, so we went to the doctor and they did a strep swab too. The doctor said they were seeing a lot of kids this week with fevers and no other symptoms. :confused3 Nice $20 co-pay diagnosis! We won't know the results of the swab until today, but she didn't have a fever all day Friday or this morning.

However, Matthew woke up with a 102 temp after his nap yesterday. Grrrrrrr!!!! He was totally happy all night though, so I guess it's the same thing. He still has a fever this morning, but he's one happy boy. :confused3

I wish we actually knew what was causing their fevers and it would have been really nice if this had run concurrently, but I guess I need to be grateful they're happy! :upsidedow

I'm so sorry that the kiddos have fevers! Sometimes I think that's scarier than anything else. I feel so very helpless when there's a fever!

Great pictures Anne Marie!

I've made peace with Molly, now if everyone else that comes in contact with her would just stop mentioning it I'd be fine :headache: It drives me crazy! I know they think they are helping but I think it fuels Molly's determination to not do it!

My father used to despair of ever potty training my brother, and my mom finally told him to stop worrying. She said, "If we can't get him to do it, we'll wait and let his high school football coach do it." :lmao:

This is definetly going around Amy! My DGS had this yesterday also. Today he was fine...  for Alyssa and Matthew.:goodvibes

I am working. Well, Princess is sleeping but I am here with her so it is sort of "working".:rotfl:

I WAS over on the VMK boards because DS wants to start playing. OMG! You could do nothing but VMK for months on end and still not really understand!:scared1: I don't know if I am going to let DS do this or not!:scared: Just reading the introduction page made my head hurt! All those codes and quests and items and points and click this and go there. YIKES! Complicated! And if he starts playing he will be playing on MY computer. :sad2: I already told DH that DS would have to earn time to play VMK, but I didn't realize how time consuming it would be. I guess he can take a stab at it and see how it goes.

I'm sneaking back on, because I definitely wanted to address Steffy's issue.

Steffy, your grandkids are so blessed that you live nearby. You're only one person, and you're not going to be able to attend every event in their lifetimes. Just don't miss graduations and weddings. ;) In this case, you could let your granddaughter tuck a special token from you into her uniform, so she knows you are thinking of her. :goodvibes

Thanks for the well-wishes for my kiddos!

Elizabeth, be sure to buy a new nail file at Target! Congratulations on mastering the art of dentistry! :teeth:

Thank you Amy. That makes me feel alot better. :goodvibes

I agree with this as well Stephanie. Sometimes things come up and though it's tough, kids will understand. My mother had to miss one of my most important track meets (U.P. State Finals) when I was in High School. She put a note in my letter jacket (without me knowing it) which I found the day of the meet. I missed her at the meet but the note really made me feel her presence and know that she wanted to be there. I knew she was thinking of me which was the most important thing to me.
Thanks Vicki!! And I will take you and Amy's suggestion and put a note with her uniform for her to find...:goodvibes :goodvibes

It looks like I missed everyone last night and this morning. I have lots of stuff to get done today. I got home safe & sound on Friday. It was a good week in Lansing. My friends had a baby girl on Monday and I got to see her on Tuesday. These are the friends that lost their son unexpectedly last year (he died in his mothers arms after they took him to the doctor in the morning). The new baby girl is being tested and if she has the same problem it is easily corrected. I'm so happy for them. They are a great young couple.
I'm happy for them too Vicki.
