When Alyssa was Tinker Bell, Kevin dressed up like John and I was Wendy.

Denise and John wore our costumes last year...I can ask her if she still has them if you are interested. :)

Look how little she was! :goodvibes

And don't worry, Kevin had shorts on under his nightgown. ;)

Cute picture! Look at little Alyssa! How cute!

I'll show this to Angie in the morning! If she is interested, I am sure that i could whip something up!;)

Thanks Amy!

Kevin is in touch with his feminine side...he does hair now. :rotfl:

That was a bow from one of Matthew's birthday presents.

Matthew is finally growing some hair. Please excuse his messy face...this was a post-breakfast picture. :goodvibes

th_IMG_3771.jpg

Good for Kevin! Believe me, you have to get good at doing hair when you have a girl, especially one with hair that goes down to her waist!

Matthew is getting to be such a big boy!

Amy - Cute, cute, cute! Love the costumes!
Does Kevin sing while he does her hair? My friend and I both go to the same hairdresser, who I LOVE. One day he just burst out singing Bibbity Bobbity Boo while he was cutting my hair. I'm sure we had been discussing Disney. The other day my friend and I were in the Disney Store and that song came on. I told her that song always reminds me of Landon!:rotfl:

Elizabeth, thank you for the post card!

Hello everyone!

I'm just popping in to say "hi!" My last visit here was Tuesday (I think) and I can't believe how many pages have been filled since then! I have a lot of reading ahead of me tonight:lmao:

How do you guys do it? Do you read every post if it has been about a week between posts? With a new semester starting up soon, I don't know how I'll keep up:scared1:

I told my DH about all the great new friends I made the last time I was here . . I thought he'd laugh at me, but he thought it was really neat! He's such an amazing DH!!!

I've also been meaning to post on the weightloss thread, but I've had a hectic week preparing for school next week. I should pop over there to say hello tonight! I'm off to find my last post so I can catch up!!! Cheers!:goodvibes

Here are the slideshows I did of Lucy's 1st and 2nd months...

Wow, Lucy has been a busy little girl from birth. When do you find time to do everything? Thanks for posting them, those slideshows are precious.

So who else is serious about a beach week next summer?
When and Where? Truthfully it is unlikely that we'd be able to come. We have another 3 week Disney trip planned. As far as I know we are free in 2009 though :rotfl: :rotfl: We'd like to go west, any DDA meets for 2009 out west? Isn't Hawaii out west? :rotfl:

I'm trying to catch up, but still have a ways to go. i was going to go to bed a few minutes ago, but Roadhouse came on and I LOVE Patrick Swasey in that movie

Maria, everyone here is very understanding. Just keep up the best you can. You won't get shunned if you disappear for a few days (or weeks, in my case ;) ), but watch out, someone may come looking for you to make sure you're okay! :goodvibes

Thanks for the compliments on the kiddos. :goodvibes I better head to bed...Matthew is still hit or miss on that whole sleeping through the night thing. :rolleyes1

Good night DDA!

Im headed to bed too--family piicnic tomorrow and not sure what time we have to leave...have a great nght :)

I wish you all would get your tickers back! Since your siggys look so different I can't tell who anyone is! :lmao:

I think that we all need our names in our signatures that way I wouldn't have to keep scrolling up.

I got Leighanna's Chef Mickey dress done today!

mickeyoutfie005.jpg

One more outfit done for our trip!

Still have a couple of more to get done!

Where oh where is my ticker?!

I really need to see how close I am getting!:rolleyes1

That is such a cute dress. You guys come up with the sweetest outfits. Do you have an embroidery machine?

I gave up reading for tonight, so I'm about 50 pages behind. I'm sorry if I miss anyone's post that may have been directed at me.:goodvibes

Hi Maria

I'm Robyn, SAHM to Emma-7, Molly-3 and Lucy-almost 2 months. I do daycare for 3 kids, 2 full time and 1 part time.
My DH is Eric and we will be married 9 years this coming October. It's great to see you here (I love your designs) and can't wait to get to know you better!

:welcome: Maria. I'm Stephanie, the oldest regular poster by 10 days.:goodvibes :goodvibes I however, am not a little old lady as my twin Terry likes to refer to us. :rolleyes1 I am a sexy senior citizen!:rotfl:

A big welcome to Maria and Heather - 2 new posters in 2 days!

I'm Lindsay, married to my DH, Jonathan, and just moved into the next decade of my life (30)! I play a legal recruiter during the daylight hours, and a Disney freak the rest of the time. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 No children as of yet, but we do have a Maltese named Ally, and 4 nieces and a nephew, all under the age of 5. I grew up going to WDW every couple of years, as my grandparents lived close by, and now that I make my own money and vacation plans, the obsession has grown. Fortunately, DH loves Disney too (though not quite as much), so he gets to go along, have the time of his life, and then blame it on me when everyone asks "you're going again??" :rolleyes1 As for Disney trips this year, we have a couple of brief trips planned for this fall, and then we have a BIG trip right after Thanksgiving which will encompass our first DCL cruise, and then treating all 16 members of our immediate family to 5 nights at SSR (we may be nuts - time will tell!).

Jump right in, and get to know us. Many of us aren't designers (just big fans of it all!), and we have a great little family here. :goodvibes

Welcome Maria and Heather, you'll find the folks here a very understanding and supportive group.

Hello and Welcome. I guess that I should introduce myself to both you and Maria. I am Deb also a SAHM. Of course I've taken care of my neice and nephew 4 days a week for years though they both start school tomorrow so I won't have them nearly as much. I also work some evenings at a restaurant, anywhere from 3 to 6 nights per week. I have 3 wonderful boys ages 11, 9 and 4. My dh sometimes posts on this board too under username Kitchensinkguy. He has been a Master Toyota Technician for 20 years. I do some designing here and I'm pretty crafty in general. Right now we are working on building a deck and we're about to embark on some interior remodeling projects. All 5 of us are totally addicted to WDW . . .

Well since everyone else is. :rolleyes1

Welcome again Maria and Heather.

I am Heidi, 40 and married to John for 21 years, no children. I am a homemaker.
I am a complete Disney addict and luckily to have a hubby who is too (just not as much as me).

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here:goodvibes

Maria, this is the best group of people around!

Although I haven't posted on the weight loss thread, I have vowed to take better care of myself. After looking through last years Disney pics, I came to the realization that I need to get busy. I definitely want to be around to see Leighanna grow up, and I want to feel better too.

Elin, Glynis, Becky, Deb, and the others have proved to me that it can be done!

Here are a couple of pictures.

Last year at Port Orleans Riverside:

This year in Baltimore after I have lost about 40 lbs. :

Not a drastic change, but still noticeable to my coworkers and family.

I have since lost another 7 lbs. since Baltimore, and am trying for a few more before Disney!

I vow not to cringe at any more pictures of me in my Happy Place!

This is the one time that enabling didn't cost me any money!:rotfl:

I see a big difference in the two pictures! Thanks for sharing them and congratulations!!! :goodvibes

Ok, I promised first day of school photos. Well, here they are in all their glory!

Jacob always has to wear Spiderman on the first day. I think it gives him courage.

Mary. Notice the closed mouth smile, just like Jacob. Guess who she wants to be when she grows up?

The twins together. Can you guess which is the girly-girl and which is the tomboy?

Here they come home from the first day of kindergarten. They love the bus!

Great pictures:thumbsup2

I finally caught up. You guys were a bit chatty weren't you?

We went to the lumberyard this morning to get the rest of the supplies for the deck stairs and railings. The lumber selection was horrible and it took us 2 hours to pick through and get enough decent wood to do the job. We came home and poured the footings and managed to get the railing posts put up before I had to head to work. Where did the day go? We were extremely slow at the restaurant so we flipped so see who had to stay and who could leave. Amazingly I got to leave early :cool1: I ran to Walmart and picked up more spray paint. I'm hoping to get the deck dining table painted tomorrow then all the furniture will be complete. I also want to get the rail done and maybe the stairs too. Hopefully we'll be able to have a BBQ on Monday and enjoy all of our hard work.

I think I'll sign off here, curl up on the couch and enjoy a little eye candy...err...I mean Patrick Swazey

That's not a problem . . . I'm usually not very far from the computer . . . I just can't always post! When I turned on the computer today, I had a whole bunch of PM design requests for designs I had to get done first!!

Sorry I can't help you Jen...I've never been to those places, let alone a cruise.

I'm seeking reviews too:

Can anyone tell me about of Disney on Ice, Princess Classics? Do a lot of girls dress up?

And speaking of princesses, I had bought 6-7 costumes on clearance after last Halloween for Alyssa to play dress-up. Of course, she still doesn't dress herself daily, so I've never given them to her, but I decided to try a few on her this morning to get some ideas for Halloween. I bought the XS size, which is a 4-5, and the Mulan and Jasmine costumes were huge, but the Belle dress fits her nicely. She wouldn't take it off! So, I think she's going to be Belle for Halloween, and we're going to make some make-shift costumes to accompany her (me = Featherduster, Kevin = Lumiere, and Matthew = Cogsworth).

Please send me some virtual craftiness DDA! :goodvibes

at most of the Disney shows (even The Littlet Mermaid last week) there are girls dressed up in the costumes....we love that show!!!

Elizabeth, thank you for the post card!

You're welcome! Hope all is well in the House Of Figs!:goodvibes

Maria - Just pop in when you can! I didn't read more than about 5 of the pages I missed when we were at WDW. I jumped in when I came back and figured I would get the gist of whatever went on while we were gone. If you don't read each and every post you will still be just fine.:)

Good night, Jen & Amy!

I am home now so I guess I should head to bed. I am meeting a friend for drinks/appetizers at 4:30 tomorrow. She is a lovely girl, but I am a little nervous about her motives. We met doing charity events. She lost her job with the non-profit due to budget cuts, now she is selling some kind of "wellness products".:scared: I don't want to buy any wellness products. I don't want to sell them, either. I am happy that she has found another source of income, but I really don't want to get involved. She was a travel agent before she got into non-profit so I thought maybe she had gotten back into that. That I could have handled. She adores Disney and used to go every year, so we always have great Disney chats. It's the sales pitch I am dreading.

I need to call my exBosses and see when I can take Brother out for his birthday. Oh, and I need to wash about 16 loads of clothes. I need one of those EXTENDED weekends with more than 3 days in it!:rotfl2:

Hi! We are home! Got in at 1am last night. We are all pooped but had a great time. No one wanted to come home. I had 201 photopass pictures & 649 pictures on my camera.

I had the pleasure of having dinner with Elizabeth & Bernadette & their families. It was a nice evening!

I'll be uploading pictures & posting a short trip report as soon as I can, right o now the laudry is calling me.

Hope everyone is doing well!
:welcome: home Anne Marie!!!:dance3:
