What camera do you have?

I have the Canon S3 IS. They have just announced the S5, so you may be able to get a good deal on the S3 if you watch for it. (There is no S4. I guess 4 is an unlucky number in some Asian countries.) Mine was an early birthday present from dh. I wanted to have it for track season and the end of the synchronized swim season. The only problem is that I am filling up my hard drive much too quickly.

I would love to have a dSLR, but I can't afford that right now, and I also needed something that isn't too big to carry around. The S3 has a 12x optical zoom. I think that the photos come out very well.

Monday does sound like the better choice Becky. Good luck with the interview & I hope you feel better!

So I think I am leaning towards Monday for the interview. She told me I could chose Friday or Monday, and I just had to let her know which one by this afternoon. If I go on Friday I will have to rush around for work, and rearrange my work schedule. It is about an hour drive there and another hour back, longer if I get stuck in traffic. Plus I need to find something to wear before noon today, if I go on Friday. On Monday I have off from work, plus it would give me time to find something to wear, etc. Do you think it would be a bad thing to wait until Monday?

They are $295

Thanks for the information. I could possibly talk dh into $150, but I'm pretty sure that $295 is not going to work. I think that it is very cool, though! I know someone who has a brick on the pathway to the Magic Kingdom.

I can't comment on Debbie and Tom's pictures. Seems work has put some crazy new filters in place and anything hosted by photobucket is not coming through.

How are you feeling today Jen?

Im doing good, thanks...im feeling a bit "under the weather" but im just relaxing today..Im in the middle of writing thank you notes for my party and then im just going to hang at the house for a few hours...

how are you today?

so can i move in ;)

I took time this morning to check car rental rates again :headache: It seems that the rate I have for Alamo for an intermediate SUV is the best that we can do for now. $551 for 22 days. It's not bad, but I was really hoping for under $500. The SUV is cheaper than an intermediate and Way cheaper than National. I've checked online and called both. Is there another rental company that you guys like?

I never use rental companies, but I know my cousin uses Budget and likes it..

I feel pretty good, thanks for asking!

Glad to hear you are doing better :goodvibes

I have been reading and enjoying everyone's pictures and stories but just have not felt like replying.

I too have read along as time permitted today. I've been too busy to post.

Looks like most of the DDA is in the same boat. Whether we are too busy or just not in the mood to reply, we all seem to be trying to keep up and think of one another. I just wanted to say that I think of you all every single day! Hope today is a great one for everyone....

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Heidi - I like your new siggy!

Robyn - your zoo trip just brought back a memory from 21 years ago! I went with Kathrin's class to the zoo when I was pregnant with Kristin. It was very hilly and I was exhausted when we got home that night too. I cannot believe the school would cancel a program and not notify anyone. How rude!

I just checked Budget and Dollar  For the same level of car for the same length of time the rates are $1000. Can you imagine?

I've been working on designs for our trip, here's the latest possibility.

LOVE this, Debbie!

Hope your headache is gone tomorrow :wizard:

Well, so far, so good! I've been up for a couple of hours, did a load of laundry, a load of dishes, and got the kids off for their last day of school.

I guess I shouldn't say "day". It's more like their last hour and a half of school. I don't understand why they only have to go for an hour and a half. They will be given their promotion cards, and attend a flag retreat ceremony, and then they'll come home. Oh well. They enjoy it!

Glynis - I hope you're feeling better today, you can't be getting sick, it's almost time for Disney!

Thanks. I refuse to be sick this close to DL!!! I actually think that the reason I had the headache was that I worked outside for a couple of hours in the sun! It was such a gorgeous day here, and the weeds really needed to be taken care of.
