I was just thinking the other day that I need to start looking for designs for our trip. Most of everything that I had saved is gone with our old computer!

With the pictures that Tom posted of Patches I have decided that someone could put together a DDA KittyKalendar!

No, since she gave you the option, I don't think it's a bad thing. It will give you more time to do what you need to do and you won't be rushed. On Monday you will be calmer and more up for the interview. Friday you would be all stressed. Good luck!

So I think I am leaning towards Monday for the interview. She told me I could chose Friday or Monday, and I just had to let her know which one by this afternoon. If I go on Friday I will have to rush around for work, and rearrange my work schedule. It is about an hour drive there and another hour back, longer if I get stuck in traffic. Plus I need to find something to wear before noon today, if I go on Friday. On Monday I have off from work, plus it would give me time to find something to wear, etc. Do you think it would be a bad thing to wait until Monday?

Plus waiting until Monday would give me the chance to feel better as I came home from GS last night with a headache, sore throat and a temperature of 100 degrees. I felt fine when I went, I do feel better this morning but I still feel blah.

I think Monday is a good choice, Becky. If I were the potential employer I would look at the fact that you were not taking off from your current job to interview as a plus! Good luck shopping.

Well, we leave day after tomorrow, and I still have things on my "to do" list! Better get crackin'!

On tap for today is finding 2 more pair of shorts for Mary. She refuses to wear anything "girly" so her skorts and pink shorts are out! I'm going to take her to a store called Suzie's Deals where we can pick some shorts up for under 5 dollars!

Then I get to finish packing up the car. We bought car organizers for each kid, and today's the day to stock those with the "keep quiet" items I got for the trip. In between I'll continue cleaning and repairing our DVD's for the trip!

Gotta finish cleaning the house as well! Hopefully, I'll get it all done! At least I don't have anyone sitting in our house, so I don't have to get too picky on the cleaning. Just a surface cleaning will do!

I am home and my new contract looks good! I e-mailed my new bosses to tell them I am ready to sign it, we just need to set up a time.

Good morning...Can somebody tell me where this week has gone? I've tried keeping up by reading along but think I've missed some pages. Sending out 's, and to everyone.

Emma and I went on her school field trip yesterday to the zoo. I have no idea what possessed me to agree to chaperon. It was about 88 degrees and very sunny. And the zoo is all on a hill. Needless to say, we were both exhausted. We skipped our last soccer practice as I just didn't think Emma could handle it. We also had planned to go to her school's performance of the Wizard of Oz. Well we got up to school at 6:50pm, (it started at 7pm) but apparently is was canceled! No notices or anything in Emma's backpack so I wasn't very happy. Neither was Molly, it is her obsession right now.

Anyway, today Molly and the 2 little boys, their grandma works with Eric, I watch are headed to Eric's work as they are throwing him a baby shower. He ha He has no idea so it should be fun.

I hope everyone has a great day. I need to get the girls moving!! Talk to you later.

Laura's team did have a great season. We were hoping for Nationals, but it just wasn't in the cards this year. Some members of the younger team that made Nationals are being a little snotty, but I guess that is just because they are young (not sure what the coaches excuse is ). It would have been nice, since Nationals are so close to us this year. Next year they are in Tucson. I would love to go there, but I can't imagine how we would swing it financially. Especially since I'm working on that whole trip out west for July, 2008.

Congrats to Laura's team - it still sounds like they had a great year!

I love my new camera! I am actually fairly close to the baby in that shot, though. Mama left baby under the tree, and I was able to go out to about 10 feet away. The hardest part was finding a way to shoot around the branches.

Those pics of the deer were adorable, Beth! As were your fruit creations - I agree with whoever said you could have a side business on your hands! I know they go for decent $$ around here.

Hmm. Anyone care to guess what is in the forecast today? Did you say RAIN? That's right! More rain! And again I have no clue what we are going to do today! I was lucky that it cleared up yesterday before we went to Taekwondo, so I was able to stop at the grocery after that without getting drenched. The liberry is closed on Thursdays, so that's out. Maybe the kids will have an idea.

I hope you can control the munchkins today, Elizabeth. I heard on the news this morning that out of the 31 days in May, we've had 21 days of rain. I have no idea if it were to rain today (which looks likely) if that will then be 22. Crazy!

I've been working on designs for our trip, here's the latest possibility.

I borrowed Deb's idea of wearing swim trunks for Brandon, so I picked him up three pair the other day. I will definitely let him wear them and his crocs to Epcot, that way he can play in the fountains if he wants. Thanks Deb! If you have any more ideas like this please share.

Good morning, DDA!!! Looks like another potentially rainy day here today so maybe the garden won't get worked on yet again. Of course, I'll have all 4 kids today while Kristi helps a friend pack to move so maybe it wouldn't get done anyway. I've also got to figure out how to fit in getting to the grocery store since they will be here at 8:30 and we have dance recital dress rehersals tonight immediately after. We are out of so many things it's getting crazy around here. I'm not even sure why we are out of so much.

Good morning

Today is Garrett's 1st official day of no school. Riley's last day will be Friday & I pick up report cards Friday.

I have so much I need to do today & it looks like it is going to be a wet one outside. I am going to buy season passes to our outdoor pool facilities. I am not going to mess with buying a pool this year. I know the boys will get good use of it & it only costs $20 more to add myself.

My laundry is over flowing & I need to clean the house. Oh what fun

Riley has a game tonight if it does not get rained out.

Is anyone else thinking about purchasing a personalized brick from Disney? Gary told me to go for it(which really surprised me), but I can't get over the price tag. What to do, what to do

I'm tempted by the brick (I would jump at it if they were still the initial price), but almost a 300% mark-up in 7 years makes me go . I just don't know that it's ultimately worth that much $$. I told Jonathan and he just rolled his eyes.

I'd wait for Monday, Becky. You feel well-rested, composed, and prepared. It sounds like Friday would just be a little wild. Plus, if you wait until Monday, you may be one of the last ones to interview - I always think that's a plus!

I just checked Budget and Dollar For the same level of car for the same length of time the rates are $1000. Can you imagine?

We usually rent with National (or occasionally Alamo). I've done Avis 1-2 in MCO, too. It always seems to me that National and Alamo have the best prices, and I love that they're right there at the terminal. It's probably not a bad rate when you consider how long you guys will have the vehicle for!

I so have Disney on the brain, and have no interest in working. I'm glad that this week has been fairly quiet, post-Monday.

I can begin making ADR's on Saturday. The problem is - I don't have everything neatly mapped out! It's so much easier when it's just me and Jonathan traveling - I kind of feel like I'm herding cats to get our entire family on the same page. I started a website to help in "educating", and I'm going to have a long planning phone call with my SIL tonight to hammer out some things (their family has never been, and they are just so excited).

We do have our MVMCP tickets and LTT reservations. I think another definite that most of the "girls" are going to do is CRT for either breakfast or lunch - I can't wait to see DN5 and DN3's reactions to that! I've also broached the topic of doing a VIP Tour, and it's actually not being met with resistance, like I was afraid it would! It looks like my parents are in for one, as well as my BIL, SIL, and 2 nieces. Not sure of my in-laws, or the other BIL's family, but if not everyone wants to do it, then we'll only have to have 1 tour guide, which will bring the cost down. I read a trip report by someone that did one of these tours at MGM, and it sounded amazing!



Anything else that you mothers out there can recommend that we not miss, other than the obvious things (BBB, character meals, kids' special activities, etc.)?

Kelli - Hi, long time no see. After our youngest graduated DH and I started taking Disney trips alone, it is fantastic. Our daughters do try and make us feel guilty but that doesn't stop us. Now when our Grandson told us that we better not even think about going without him again . . . . . note the trip with him in September

Well, I ran the idea past Craig about going in 2008. We even tried to figure out approximate costs. Hopefully they'll have free dining again next year and we'll just go in August/September instead of July. Now to save up the moola. LOL

Oswald, is the name of the rabbit, that finally came back to Disney.

Miles has named the fawn Bambi, too. Laura named him/her Oswald. Miles says that Oswald is an octopus, not a baby deer.

Riley gets out at 11:30 today & tomorrow. Doesn't make sense to me

I did get the house picked up some, have laundry going, & got a roast in the slow cooker. Once Riley gets home I need to run some errands.

Well, so far, so good! I've been up for a couple of hours, did a load of laundry, a load of dishes, and got the kids off for their last day of school.

I guess I shouldn't say "day". It's more like their last hour and a half of school. I don't understand why they only have to go for an hour and a half. They will be given their promotion cards, and attend a flag retreat ceremony, and then they'll come home. Oh well. They enjoy it!
