I will by MIA all day tomorrow. I am going on a school trip with Katie. We are going to a state park & climb, hike, & look for wildlife.:scared: Oh joy...:rotfl2:

I am going to order my P&PP & my MNSSHP tickets tom'w night.:thumbsup2

Thanks.:) I knew it was going to get ugly when she said something last week about not sending the kids to camp because I will be there to watch them. I think I am mad enough now that I will not tell her about my interviews until I hand her my resignation. Of course I don't currently HAVE any interviews. I told DH maybe I should look for a temp job over the summer that pays better than my current one. Either way it would end around the same time. But the temps listed on the agency site are crummy. There is one that is SIXTY hours a week! It would pay DOUBLE what I make right now, but it is really far away and sounds kind of scary.:scared:

OK. I need your help. You all know the game, right? When you go to bed tonight (the last night of the month) the very last words you say are "Rabbit, rabbit", then you make a wish. When you wake up in the morning if you say "Rabbit, rabbit" before you say anything else then your wish will come true. Please wish for me to find a wonderful new job REALLY FAST.

i'll do that for ya elizabeth but i have one question. mom wakes me up before she leaves to see if im ok do i need to say rabbit rabbit before answering her? oh yeah can i make 2 wishes so i can wish i get this job? i am sorry about amanda.:grouphug:

I walked the beach at lunchtime today. Very windy & uncrowded but warm.

The picture is so small..I took it with my phone.

well, it looks good to me, Anne Marie!

I'm about to leave work to take the boys home now and get Andrew ready for soccer practice and Jake ready for baseball practice -- that is, unless the rain that they've been saying we will get comes through. It will probably wait to rain until I have them dressed and am driving to the fields. :upsidedow

Marci -- I hope it either didn't rain, or rained early or rained late... :confused3 :rotfl:

Crazy, busy, stressful, and more. Several times last week I called my former boss (he was acting because my new boss was on his honeymoon) and told him "I give up! I don't need this!" So much needs to be fixed and it is so hard to decide where in the world to even start!

Aren't you sorry you asked?!

Here's hoping it gets better, Vicki!

CONGRATULATIONS THERESA! :yay:

Every bit of laundry is done, my stuff is out to be put in suitcases tomorrow (Kyle's vacation started today, lucky dog!), and we're off to take the dog for a walk before we leave her at my parents' house for 12 days! :sad1:

I'll try to check in tomorrow, depending on how busy it turns out.

Have a wonderful evening!

HAVE A GREAT VACATION, JENNIFER & KYLE! :goodvibes

I am putting my official notice in.

I will not be on this weekend.....

   WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!

Congratulations!

Usually I do my replies first, but I just have to get this out. Amanda's condition has really deteriorated today and DH asked me to take her tomorrow to have her euthanized.:sad1: I will have Brother with me the whole day tomorrow, and it is NOT fair to ask me to do that. We are now fighting about it, because I think he should take her tomorrow afternoon, even if it means DS will have to go along. DS wants to have her cremated remains, and we can't seem to decide about that, either.

Momboss and I are at HUGE odds about the upcoming schedule. The agreement in March was that I would NOT get a raise, but I would now have every Wednesday morning off. If the kids are out of school and I have to work on a morning I should have off then they owe me that morning back during another week. She now says the Wednesdays were ONLY for the school year (how generous, since they just started the Wednesdays off LAST MONTH) so I have to work every Wed. morning over the summer that the kids are not in camp. She wasn't even willing to give me 2 extra mornings earlier in May to make up for May 23 & 30 which I will have to work. The kids are only going to camp for 3 weeks. I am assuming they will still "trade" the Mondays with me because those are not part of my schedule OR my payroll. So just like that I am back to 42.5 hours instead of 38.5, and no raise. She also said they want my last day to be August 10.:scared1: She wants me to finish with the kids before I leave for WDW. In our discussion I was promised my week of vacation would be PAID, but now I am wondering if she will say it won't be paid because the job ends BEFORE my vacation starts. I will have 35 hours of accrued comp time if I don't use any before then, and I will have 2.5 personal days so that will just about cover my vacation, but it would be NICE to have my week of paid vacation, too. Since that WAS the agreement.:headache: Dadboss is really the one I deal with for payroll and comp time and that sort of thing, so I'm interested to hear what he has to say about it. I fail to see how giving me a couple of extra Wednesdays off during April & May offsets NOT giving me a raise when the kids are going to be home nearly the entire summer! They have never been home the whole summer before!

So my entire day has gone to hell in a handbasket. I don't know whether to be sad about the cat or furious about my job. The agency e-mailed me 3 TOTALLY inappropriate jobs today, all part time, all with lower salaries than what I make right now, 2 of them nowhere near our house. How am I supposed to make THAT work? Fewer hours, lower salary, sure! Sign me up! And at night I can sell crack or work a street corner to supplement my income. Sorry. Not a good night for me. :sad2:

You ARE having a really stinky day!

I'm so sorry to hear about Amanda. :sad2: It's tough to lose a member of the family.

Could it be that Momboss has her feelings hurt because you aren't willing to take a paycut and stay on? I'm sorry things seem to be turning ugly. I hope Dadboss hasn't lost his perspective and honors the deal you guys had agreed on. Sending prayers to you and your family.

Yep. The first words you say have to be "Rabbit, rabbit.":)
So maybe you should wish for both of us to find wonderful jobs REALLY FAST, and I will wish for both of us, too!:goodvibes

Sounds like you had a lousy day, Elizabeth. I am so sorry. Again I say... poor kitty. :( And poor you all for having to work it out.

well, it is time for bed and I haven't eaten my dinner yet!

I will see you all in the morning. I hope the new month brings good luck for all of you. :)

The rain did hold off thank goodness and both boys got their practices in. We are getting some rain now, so I hope it is just enough to give the plants a drink but not enough to rain out their baseball games tomorrow night. Jake plays at 6 and Andrew plays at 6:20. BUT, it is supposed to rain every day this week so we'll just have to see if the games on Tuesday, practices on Thursday and games on Friday are rained out or not.

Jake's soccer game went really well on Saturday -- they won 6-0 and three of the goals were Jake's. Andrew's tournament didn't go that well. He played okay on Saturday -- pitched really well and defense was okay in both games. He didn't play very well on Sunday. He dropped a fly ball and missed a hard hit grounder as well. He did pitch another inning and did well at that, but overall, his confidence really took a beating.

It was really hot -- around 85 both days, but we had a tent up so it wasn't too bad. At least we had a little bit of a breeze on Saturday.

Thanks, Marci.
Momboss is very stressed out about finding someone to take my place, but this is THEIR thing, not mine. To cut my hours down to 15 total per week would bankrupt us in a month. There is no way I could do that, and Momboss knows it! It was THEIR choice to put the kids in school from 8 AM - 3 PM, and THEIR choice to tell me I could stay through the summer on terms THEY offered! All I did was agree! And now every time I turn around something changes. They are going to look for my replacement now (even though I have NOTHING lined up), I have to work Wednesdays in the summer, I won't be allowed to work through Aug. 31 because she wants me finished by Aug. 10, and who knows what will come next. I just hope they are VERY happy with the person they hire next, because my friend said if they screw me over there is no way she will help them while they look for someone permanent. Nanny jobs always end this way. No matter how amicable people are going in, by the time all is said and done it is always ugly. And that is sad for the kids, because they didn't ask for things to be this way.:sad2:

Good night, Elin!

Marci - I have given up on the rain situation. I just figure if I go out and it is raining I will get wet. I watched the news last night where they said we were going to get HUGE storms today. When I got home at 6:30 it hadn't rained a drop! DH said it was sprinkling a little while ago. Hugs to Andrew! I hope his next game is a bit better!:)
