Thanks Bernadette!

Hey you only have 7 days left :woohoo:

I think I'm more :scared1: then :cool1: right now. I've got soooo much to do both at home & work. I can't believe how fast its coming up.

Becky yeah for the A. We knew you could do it.

Here is the Penguin that I used Bernadette.

Thanks! Do you have a Bert too?

I scanned in the school photos. I think there was dust on the scanner as there are a few white dots that are not on the originals

Those are great! What handsome young men you have!

Have you tried Lands' End? I have had great luck with their swim mini bottoms and I think they carry Talls. You can put your measurements into a virtual model on their website and dress it with your selections. They will tell you up front if it ought to fit the "real you."
I've had good luck with Lands' End too.

Well have a great day everyone--after teaching im headed down to Rowan to pick up my graduation tickets!!!

talk to you all later
Congratulations Jen!!!

That sounds like a perfect distance. Far enough away that you aren't a built in babysitter yet close enough that you can visit whenever you have time. :cool1:

I like that the company will take their pictures in the Spring for free. You only buy them if you like them. The company in the fall is a pay first company and they NEVER come out well. I don't even try anymore. One year Hunter's eyes weren't even open :sad2:
Our school uses Lifetouch-I thought for both Fall & Spring. In the fall you pick the exact package you want and pay in advance. I did have Joe's pictures retaken because they were out of focus and the teacher said the class was so bad that needed to be retaken. If you aren't happy with the retake you can get your money back. The spring photos you pay per sheet you keep or a discounted price for the whole set.

I love Coldwater Creek but I have to catalog shop.
You could use it as an excuse to visit DDA friends but then I guess you wouldn't have any money to spend on shopping.:rotfl:

Hi, all! I have been busy and haven't had time to keep up.

I just want to add to Deb's post. I am the true example of why you need to fight so hard to maintain all that you have done. I lost over 100 pounds a few years ago. I didn't know it at the time, but I was looking good! I could only focus on the fact that I couldn't seem to make my goal and how far I had to go and not on far I had come. Somehow, I managed to put almost all the weight back on. I'm looking at having to lose more than 100 pounds again. I always told myself that I had changed my lifestyle and that I would never put it back on again. I also had a plan in place to go back to strict dieting if I put on more than 3-5 pounds. Somehow I let all that slip away.

So, please, please, please, learn from me. Do everything you have to and maintain those losses.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!!!!

PS I wasn't going to tell anyone, but I've started again today to work on getting rid of this weight. I can't look at 100+ pounds right now, so my first goal is 25 pounds. I can do that!

Beth
YES YOU CAN!!!!!

Opinions Please. I'm still working on new T-shirt designs for our trip. I have become all consuming. I am determined to get them out of the way NOW!! This is a new design that I came up with. What do you think? What color shirt would you put it on?

I am so Happy for You. I hope you can relax now. So when is the closing and when can you move in?

Deb

Morning! We are back from Molly's endoscopy and she did magnificient. The most traumatic thing for her was the admittance receptionist putting her hospital bracelet on her. They put one on me and she flipped out. It took about 20 minutes to get it on her, it ended up on her foot. Once we got her settled down she did great. She was really calm when we went back for the pre- op stuff. We walked into the operating room and that scared her a little but she was a champ. She had no problems with the anesthesia mask and was out in fairly quickly. The procedure itself only took about 20 minutes. The Dr. said her esophagus looked fine but her stomach shows some irritation. The are going to biopsy a sample so we won't know anything until Wednesday at the earliest but it could take as long as next Wednesday. Molly woke up from the anesthesia and was pretty much her normal self. She drank some juice and they checked her vitals and we were out of there by 9:15am.

Here are some pics from this morning...I been on a pic posting spree so feel free to skip them

Look who greeted us as we arrived..

I am off of here to take a nap. Getting roughly 2hrs of sleep last night, I went to bed by 9pm but couldn't sleep, and being on the go since 3:30am this morning has wiped me out.

Thanks to everyone who wished us well. It certainly worked. :goodvibes I will try to get back on later but in the meantime... and :wizard: to all.
What a trooper! I bet you're glad to have that over with! Joe had surgery at 7 months. Holding the mask on him and then leaving him in the OR was the hardest thing I ever did.

:wizard: That you get some answers that will help Molly!

I've watched a bunch of shows on the learning channel about morbidly obese people. There was a man that is in the guiness book of world records for losing the most weight ever. He did it over a couple of years with the help of Richard Simmons. It was a very public battle to lose the weight and he made many appearance with Richard Simmons and did some of his exercise videos. He is now as overweight if not more overweight then he was before. He said that the day he met his goal he threw the diet out the window and started to eat whatever he wanted. He gained back 50 lbs in the first week alone :scared1: Now he is in a special hospital trying again to lose the weight. It just shows us all how hard the battle is and how quickly we can forget.

Another story had a man talking about how he loved to go to Coney Island. Obviously food is everywhere on coney Island. He would tell himself that he would just have one hot dog, just for the taste, but before he knew it he would have eaten 18 hot dogs for lunch. Pizza was the same way, what would one piece hurt? Until he realized that he had eaten 3 whole pizzas.

I find these stories heartbreaking, but they really do provide invaluable information on how these things happen, it's just the way that people are wired.

Another question to ponder. For those people that are so obese that they cannot get out of bed and haven't been able to for years, why aren't the caregivers held responsible for contributing to the problem? Wouldn't it be similar to Dr. Kovorkian and his assisted suicides? If food isn't brought to them then they would have to lose weight. Some of those people consume 45000 calories per day, everyday:eek: The other question is how do they afford it?

Ok, enough of my thinking out loud, sorry for the ramblings. I just saw these shows a week or so ago so they are weighing on my mind.

Deb
I watched a few of those too. How does someone let themselves get over 500 pounds? Not being able to get out of bed? I too wondered how they could afford it too. One family said their family member would order take out and send the money out the window in a bucket. They said at least he was eating better if they made it.

With all this talk of weight loss, I have to agree on the maintaining. When I lost 65 pounds after my mother passed away, I kept telling myself I would not gain it back. Well slowly over the course of 2 years I had gained back 35 pounds. I was not watching what I eat or how much, I would try to justify it in my head somehow. I finally said no more, I did not want to be the size I was before. I am very proud of what I have lost so far & I thank everyone for their support. I know it will be a battle the rest of my life & I know that I will have slip ups, but I will keep trying.

Beth I know you will do fine, sounds like you have your mind set & that is what it took for me :thumbsup2
I had lost 55 pounds after Emma turned 1. I gained about 20 pounds back after my Mom got sick. I started eating fast food when she was in ICU for 6 weeks. That was 2 years ago. I just couldn't get the motivation back to loose again. I found some motivation when I was looking for shorts. I've been pretty good for the past few weeks. I haven't gotten back on the scale in a few weeks but my clothes feel better and that's what counts. It isn't easy....

   WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!
I am so happy for you!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!:ccat: :donald: :sulley: :tigger: :mickeyjum :goofy: :figment:

That is so cool!

Crazy, busy, stressful, and more. Several times last week I called my former boss (he was acting because my new boss was on his honeymoon) and told him "I give up! I don't need this!" So much needs to be fixed and it is so hard to decide where in the world to even start!

Aren't you sorry you asked?!
:grouphug:

Well today was my yearly exam. I absolutely hate those things. On top of that, I had to schedule my mammogram which is Friday. Yuck! My arm is throbing because I also got a tetanus shot because it has been so long since I had one and with as much time as I spend outside, the doctor thought I should. At least I get it all out of the way for awhile!
Good for you for going! I'm going the week after I get back.

CONGRATULATIONS THERESA! :yay:

Every bit of laundry is done, my stuff is out to be put in suitcases tomorrow (Kyle's vacation started today, lucky dog!), and we're off to take the dog for a walk before we leave her at my parents' house for 12 days! :sad1:

I'll try to check in tomorrow, depending on how busy it turns out.

Have a wonderful evening!
Have a great trip. Maybe we'll run into each other!

Usually I do my replies first, but I just have to get this out. Amanda's condition has really deteriorated today and DH asked me to take her tomorrow to have her euthanized.:sad1: I will have Brother with me the whole day tomorrow, and it is NOT fair to ask me to do that. We are now fighting about it, because I think he should take her tomorrow afternoon, even if it means DS will have to go along. DS wants to have her cremated remains, and we can't seem to decide about that, either.

Momboss and I are at HUGE odds about the upcoming schedule. The agreement in March was that I would NOT get a raise, but I would now have every Wednesday morning off. If the kids are out of school and I have to work on a morning I should have off then they owe me that morning back during another week. She now says the Wednesdays were ONLY for the school year (how generous, since they just started the Wednesdays off LAST MONTH) so I have to work every Wed. morning over the summer that the kids are not in camp. She wasn't even willing to give me 2 extra mornings earlier in May to make up for May 23 & 30 which I will have to work. The kids are only going to camp for 3 weeks. I am assuming they will still "trade" the Mondays with me because those are not part of my schedule OR my payroll. So just like that I am back to 42.5 hours instead of 38.5, and no raise. She also said they want my last day to be August 10.:scared1: She wants me to finish with the kids before I leave for WDW. In our discussion I was promised my week of vacation would be PAID, but now I am wondering if she will say it won't be paid because the job ends BEFORE my vacation starts. I will have 35 hours of accrued comp time if I don't use any before then, and I will have 2.5 personal days so that will just about cover my vacation, but it would be NICE to have my week of paid vacation, too. Since that WAS the agreement.:headache: Dadboss is really the one I deal with for payroll and comp time and that sort of thing, so I'm interested to hear what he has to say about it. I fail to see how giving me a couple of extra Wednesdays off during April & May offsets NOT giving me a raise when the kids are going to be home nearly the entire summer! They have never been home the whole summer before!

So my entire day has gone to hell in a handbasket. I don't know whether to be sad about the cat or furious about my job. The agency e-mailed me 3 TOTALLY inappropriate jobs today, all part time, all with lower salaries than what I make right now, 2 of them nowhere near our house. How am I supposed to make THAT work? Fewer hours, lower salary, sure! Sign me up! And at night I can sell crack or work a street corner to supplement my income. Sorry. Not a good night for me. :sad2:
:grouphug: I'm so sorry about Amanda.

:grouphug: And I'm so sorry that Momboss isn't treating you very well after all you've done for them. :wizard: Hope you find the perfect rollie pollie very soon!!!

I will by MIA all day tomorrow. I am going on a school trip with Katie. We are going to a state park & climb, hike, & look for wildlife.:scared: Oh joy...:rotfl2:

I am going to order my P&PP & my MNSSHP tickets tom'w night.:thumbsup2
Have fun!

this is how i got it cut. it was to the middle of the back
Very nice! I got about 3" cut off but I still have enough to wear it pulled back like I always do.

That really cool!!! I'm not sure what color I would use for the T's. I think you could use one the 4 "park" colors. You could print it on paper and bring it with you when shopping for T's. Could you try it on a solid background in the software you're using to get an idea of what color T to go with?

My SIL sent me a really cute Pooh bday card with a Disney gift card. :woohoo: I guess I'll have to buy myself something! I generally don't buy much but last year a friend that I used to work with (1983 to 1991) and now work with again (1996 to present) gave me some Disney Dollars so I bought myself a sweatshirt. My first thought when I got the card from my SIL was I can use this toward the renewal of my AP but now I really think I should buy myself something nice. I've got to show her what I bought don't I?:rotfl:

Well, Goodnight all! I should try to get to work early. I've got SO much to do. I somehow forgot that I was leaving at month end. I'm still working on wrapping up the first quarter and now I've to scramble to do month end work and I've got another huge project I need to finish too. I think I'll be ready for a vacation.

Good luck with the interview.

Bernadette. I had difficulty find good images for the penguins and for Bert. This is what I did.

That's really cute! I wasn't worried about Bert because the last time I saw him was Lizzy's first trip. We did see Mr Penguin last August and my friend going with me this week is a huge penguin fan. A coworker was telling me today she saw Mary Poppins in Oct in the UK shop (I've seen her there plenty) and that she was with Mr Penguin but he left and Mary Poppins said that Bert would be out. I don't think I'll worry about Bert for the May trip. Maybe for my family trip I can just scan a photo of Lizzy with Bert back in 2002. Pre digital camera days for me.

Deb-

Love the shirt design!! I would think red or navy blue for shirt color.

All of this talk of autograph pages....I realized I hadn't planned on doing them!!:lmao:

Jen-

Have a great trip to the world!!

Karen I like the hairstyle you chose!

Deb your design looks great. I would think any of the colors on the backgrounds would work for the t-shirts.

Elizabeth I have never heard of the rabbitt, rabbitt before, but I will make a wish for you tonight!

Garrett caught me off guard tonight. He told me that when we go to Disney in Dec. he wants to take his Dr. Suess stuffed animal. I told him that it is not Disney, it's from US. He said it does not matter, grandma bought it for me on our last trip together before she died. He's so sweet & just tugs at my heart :goodvibes

I am waiting for a load of laundry to dry & then I can call it a night!

Friday at 4 and moving in starts Saturday morning!!

You'd better get plenty of sleep between now and then. It sounds like a busy weekend. I bet you'll enjoy every minute of it. What did Grandma say?

Deb

It sounds like the perfect match. And no more Grandma to bug you. :thumbsup2

I forgot to say....I'm exhausted!! But I got the laundry done tonight...we have a performance for Abi tomorrow night and than we have packing to do Wed-Fri.

I have to get the electricity switched to our name, change of address, and I have convinced Jimmy to bundle our phone stuff. I am going to have DSL!!!:cool1:

We also have to figure out if we can get movers for this Saturday or if it will have to wait until next week.

So many things to do....so very little time to do it in!!
