Morning! We are back from Molly's endoscopy and she did magnificient. The most traumatic thing for her was the admittance receptionist putting her hospital bracelet on her. They put one on me and she flipped out. It took about 20 minutes to get it on her, it ended up on her foot. Once we got her settled down she did great. She was really calm when we went back for the pre- op stuff. We walked into the operating room and that scared her a little but she was a champ. She had no problems with the anesthesia mask and was out in fairly quickly. The procedure itself only took about 20 minutes. The Dr. said her esophagus looked fine but her stomach shows some irritation. The are going to biopsy a sample so we won't know anything until Wednesday at the earliest but it could take as long as next Wednesday. Molly woke up from the anesthesia and was pretty much her normal self. She drank some juice and they checked her vitals and we were out of there by 9:15am.
Here are some pics from this morning...I been on a pic posting spree so feel free to skip them

I am off of here to take a nap. Getting roughly 2hrs of sleep last night, I went to bed by 9pm but couldn't sleep, and being on the go since 3:30am this morning has wiped me out.
Thanks to everyone who wished us well. It certainly worked.I will try to get back on later but in the meantime...

Tia -- I'm so sorry. Here's aTia sent me this email:
Hi Deb,
We are in Kansas for the wedding, but have had some upsetting news that I was hoping you could ask the group to pray for. My grandmother was admitted to the hospital this afternoon after experiencing flu-like symptoms. The doctor said that it was a kidney infection that had spread throughout her body. The admitted her to the ICU after her blood pressure wouldn't stabilze. Her plattelete counts were dropping so they moved her to the city hospital. My aunt called an hour or so ago to say that the doctor's don't think that Meme will make it for more than a few hours. The blessing is that things have moved quickly so she hasn't suffered much.
As I type this, my aunt just called to say that she had passed. We will be heading down to Oklahoma tomorrow sometime and the family still in St. Louis will drive down then or on Sunday. Please pray for safe travels for all those heading to OK this weekend and and for comfort for the family. She leaves 4 daughters, 1 son, 1 step-daughter, 1 foster daughter, 4 son-in-laws, 13 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a large circle of friends. I am comforted by the fact that she will be in a better place and home again with my beloved Papa. Her name is Ruth McCormick Blesie and she was 74 years old, still substitute teaching and working afterschool and the local elementary school.
Bless you all and I'll be in touch,
Tia
We've had a busy day. The garage is cleaned though I still need to return a truckload of cans and bottles. I'll get to it this week. I'm feeling better and I've already fed the family dinner. I also got a few shirts made. I haven't bought any blank shirts for myself yet, that's on my to do list. Here are pictures of the finished outfits.
I think they came out pretty well. I just wish the Navy was a bit darker on Nick's shirt. It looked almost black on the screen, but didn't print that darkIt still looks good though.

We had another awesome 1st game tonight! Garrett's team won 13 - 3Garrett is now playing in the Babe Ruth league with 14 & 15 year olds, can these boys play! It is such a difference from the minor & major leagues.
What a wonderful day & evening we had![]()
Shopping! YAY!is right!! I had a BALL today. I had 4 sales people plus both daughters helping me at Coldwater Creek for about 2 hours. I did not buy as much as I had wanted, but I did pretty well.

One reason I needed quite a few new things is that this past week I hit the 100 pound milestone of weight lost. There was a sales clerk there who had gastric bypass surgery who has lost 190 pounds! We had so much fun picking out things that she understood would fit and flatter the figure I have now, which is a lot smaller, but a lot less "firm." Let's say those leftover traveler's cheques from the December trip certainly came in handy today!
So I got an A in my class. I guess all the BSing and stress was worth it.I don't think I learned a darn thing.

Thank you again for all your help Stephanie.
I still have to decide if I am taking either of the 2 classes I am registered for this summer.
Well, my oldest son called me today and said that they had put in a bid on a house. I was not aware they had been seriously looking but he said they put in a counter offer and were waiting for an answer. He also asked me if I would be able to help watch the boys so they could get their place ready and of course I said yes.
well,,,,,they got the house!!!
I scanned in the school photos. I think there was dust on the scanner as there are a few white dots that are not on the originals

Good morning, DDA!![]()
Great photos, Deb! Everybody is growing up!
Yay! Graduation is coming!! Then DISNEY!!![]()
Nothing exciting going on here. DS is finishing up breakfast. I bought all of those groceries yesterday, then I realized that DH & DS will be on that camping trip this week. I will have to remind DH to freeze the stuff we won't eat before they leave because I won't cook while they are gone. (Ha ha! I never cook AT ALL!)![]()
We are a little worried about Amanda. She is moving pretty slow, and she has lost more weight. DH doesn't think she is eating the new food - she preferred the kitten food. The kitten food is bad for her kidneys, but not eating is bad, too! We'll have to watch her and see how she does this week.![]()
Hi, all! I have been busy and haven't had time to keep up.
I just want to add to Deb's post. I am the true example of why you need to fight so hard to maintain all that you have done. I lost over 100 pounds a few years ago. I didn't know it at the time, but I was looking good! I could only focus on the fact that I couldn't seem to make my goal and how far I had to go and not on far I had come. Somehow, I managed to put almost all the weight back on. I'm looking at having to lose more than 100 pounds again.I always told myself that I had changed my lifestyle and that I would never put it back on again. I also had a plan in place to go back to strict dieting if I put on more than 3-5 pounds. Somehow I let all that slip away.
So, please, please, please, learn from me. Do everything you have to and maintain those losses.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!!!!
PS I wasn't going to tell anyone, but I've started again today to work on getting rid of this weight. I can't look at 100+ pounds right now, so my first goal is 25 pounds. I can do that!
