I am betting Beth is waiting to pounce on the milestone... Am I right??

ETA: nope! Congrats, Elizabeth!

I think I'll work on shirt designs today. I'd like to get those nailed down soon

And with that I am off to do lesson plans and go outside for a bit before teaching today. Make your days wonderful, friends!

:rotfl: No pouncing here! :rotfl: I actually was reading more reviews on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. It sounds interesting, but some of those reviews scare me.

I just took a load of jeans out of the dryer. They have been in there since yesterday. I need to put some towels in the washer. I think there might be a guy coming to inspect the chimney today, so I might want to prepare for that. DH called and told them we don't use the fireplace because the cats walk in the ashes and track them everywhere, but they still want to come inspect it.

I have finally got some of the pics from yesterday uploaded.

We had a great time yesterday and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. The weather was gorgeous. It's so funny to see Molly interact with everyone. I love this age because they are definitely aware that the whole thing is about them.

Great pictures! I love seeing all of them.

So I am home from my job interview and it went REALLY well.:) Mr. Roly-Poly Baby is very nice. His mom and dad are wonderful, but they are quite new to all of this. The contract and setting up the payroll and taxes appears to be a bit daunting to Dadboss2B. But we shall see how things progress from here. Right now I am scheduled to do a "test drive" in morning traffic next Monday (a week from tomorrow) so I can time the drive and meet the baby's current nanny. That way she can tell me about his schedule and how she has his week structured, and I can determine how much of a time commitment that commute is going to be! The parents are also going to talk with the current nanny and get a solid timeline on when she would like to finish the position. I told them if they would like to look at more candidates over the next couple of weeks that I encourage them to do so. It sounds like a great job, and it sounds like precisely what I am looking for! I just hope we can make a decision fast enough that my current bosses will have plenty of time to find a replacement. That job would likely start 6 weeks from now, and I want them to have at least 4 weeks to look at candidates.

Elizabeth -- I really hope this works out for you. Good luck with the test drive! I really couldn't live north of 635. I took Andrew and Jake to a birthday party in Allen -- exit 36 off of 75, and it took one hour from Hall Street at 3:15 in the afternoon. Yuck! Every time I drive to Allen or McKinney in the afternoon, I thank my lucky stars that I live southeast of big D!

Hello from LA! :goodvibes We have a heinous layover while we wait for our flight to Lihue, but that's what I get for making our award reservations kind of late. But, I'm sitting in the Admirals Club in a quiet room, using my dad's T-Mobile acct. to DIS, sipping a free soda, after getting the exact exit row seats I wanted for our flight ahead, and just caught up on the 20 pages I missed over the last couple of days. And I'm headed to my next favorite place in the world (next to WDW, of course). So, things aren't too shabby right now. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to hear that all of you are having good weekends. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the rain they are predicing in Kauai will be short-lived and in the very early morning while I'm still sleeping. :goodvibes

I'm hoping the weather cooperates! Post some pics of you get a chance!

Ok, here is my princess with her prince.

Here's a closer look at her hair.

Just beautiful! I really do like the color of the dress.

In December it will be 17 years since our first date, and in November we will have been married for 15 years. It doesn't seem like that much time has passed. And now DH is turning 40!

Okay -- you are beginning to give me a complex about 40.....:rotfl:

The kids had such a great time outside today after a long winter and long rainy April vacation.

I love this shot of the girls. Emma was talking to Lizzy. She looks so calm and angelic.:rotfl:

More great pics! I'm so glad everyone is sharing!

Marci - Does Shelton have summer camp? Have your boys ever done any summer programs there?

Oh, look! We're coming up on a milestone!

Yes -- they do Shelton summer school each year. Many kids in the summer program aren't regular Shelton kids -- they just come because it's a great program!

I love that the kids can take a class to do their summer book report, so it's finished before school starts. Jake's electives in the afternoon are drama, art and taekwondo. Andrew's are keyboarding, first-aid and disaster preparedness and PowerPoint.

Well, I'm finally caught up. I hope you all have a fabulous week. Tammi and Steffy -- good luck in getting all the last touches done for your trips!

I just folded a load of laundry myself. I need to make a grocery list. I have to pick Matthew up from school and take him to the orthodontist soon. Then I should go shopping, since I really had to work to find things to put into lunches today.

Marci - Thanks! I will have to call for a summer schedule! DS might enjoy some of those, and Shelton is right on Hillcrest so if I do get that job it would be really convenient!

DH took DS to the orthodontist last Thursday. They had to wire his new permanent tooth in with the others. The baby tooth had the bracket on it, and when it fell out they had to wait for the new one to grow in far enough to wire it in. I guess that was a pretty involved process. His mouth was sore on Friday, but he hasn't said anything since then so I guess it is better now.

Beth our weather has been just like that too. We had a snow storm last Sunday and by the end of the week we were in the mid 70s. From snow suits to shorts in the same week  It's no wonder that everyone keeps getting sick. It is beautiful today, but is supposed to get cold again tomorrow. I don't know whether to put away the snow clothes and drag out the summer stuff or wait a bit longer.

The weather in MT and CO has been known to do that in one day. Cassidy's
3rd birthday (MAy 14th) we started the morning in our winter coats and freezing in the flurries and by the time we went to an evening concert we were all in shorts....it was almost a 40 degree difference in about 10 hrs.

Loved seeing all the pictures this weekend!!

We stayed busy Saturday looking for accessories for prom....Sunday was supposed to be more of the same and than I took a fall coming out of church. I can't tell if it was my knee giving out, slipping out of my shoe or a combination of both....I am one sore puppy!!

I agree. We've been together for 24 years this December. We celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary May, 2008. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it could possibly that long, and in other ways, those early days seem like a different lifetime.

My DH and I have known each other for 41 years this coming June. I met him just three months before I turned 16. We will be married 38 years. I just cannot imagine it has been this long. I can still remember the first time he walked in the front door and I told myself, "I am going to marry him and he will take care of me for the rest of my life".
It seems like time went by so fast.

Ouch! I hope your knee feels better soon!:wizard:

That is so neat!:goodvibes The first time I met DH he was completely rude to me - not sure how I ended up liking him!:rotfl2:

Well, my towels are in the dryer, another load is in the washer, and I cleaned out the fishbowl. It was looking pretty murky, and since DH doesn't have another day off until the end of next week I figured I better do it!

If it was just my knee I would be doing better...it's my whole right side and quite a bit of my left....the offending knee doesn't hurt right now. :confused3

Anne Marie, I missed your pictures the first time around. Your daughters are beautiful!
Thank you!

Anne Marie the girls look beautiful.
Thanks!!!

WOW!!! She looks beautiful! What a gorgeous dress.

I married him when he was 25. For him to be 40 is just surreal.
I had a crush on Dana since Jr High School (we were 13). We started dating at 18 & got married at 23. I have seen him go from a child to a man...so wierd!!!! We will both be 40 next year.:scared:
