Yesterday I was already thinking "in 2 weeks my vacation will be over".

I HATE that I do that!

Chuck & I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in June. It doesn't seem possible that we have been together that long but then at other times it seems like forever!

I agree. We've been together for 24 years this December. We celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary May, 2008. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it could possibly that long, and in other ways, those early days seem like a different lifetime.

2 years ago DH was not feeling great about his 50th so I made us all Incredible T's (Mr, Mrs, Violet, Dash, & Jack-Jack) and ordered him an Incredible cake from the grocery store. I think he liked keeping it light & fun.

Great idea! I had to be in Disney for my 40th (see, my tag says so)...I'm hoping that I'll be the same place for my 50th. Matthew will be 23 and Laura will turn 21 that year! Miles will be 15. I don't even want to think about it yet.

Mine will be just 8, 10 and almost 12.

Last night Lizzy was saying my favorite number is 8-she'll be 8 in 4 weeks, Joe said my favorite number is 6 until I turn 7 and then it will be 7. I just couldn't say my favorite number is 46.

Tammi - Thanks so much for looking for the pirate lanyard!! There are 2 different ones on eBay that I have seen. One is black with white skulls & crossbones, and then I saw another one yesterday that is kind of maroon with a pattern crossed swords. Really anything pirate-y is perfect!

DH thought he was being funny yesterday. He said he is going to trade one of his pirate pins that was a huge pain in the tushy to get. I told him if he trades it I will hack off his hands and leave him with bloody stumps. He told DS what I said, and DS said "If you trade that pin? Yep." There will be no trading of the pirate flag pin!

Elizabeth, the lanyard I have is black with maroon "Pirates of the Caribbean" and a pirate skull with two crossed swords behind it.

Here's Kate's Walt Disney World design. I made this one for all 6 of us.

Here's a woman's Gliddan Ultra cotton T. $1.93 at Jiffyshirts.com. I ordered a bunch of T's from them last year and really like the neck on this T. Not too tight and not too bulky.

Here's a close up of the design. Not the best color saturation in the transfer but I'm pretty satisfied with it.

The shirts look great!

By the way, I have pretty much stopped designing, because of time limitations and because there are so many great designers out there right now. I do want you all to know that I would be happy to do anything for any of you at any time. It's different when it's for "family"!

I'm off from work today - slept in until 8am if you call that sleeping in...now we get to go to Home Depot - grass seed, rent a nail gun, buy some wood to redo the trim around the porch...just what I want to do! Geeze!

The kids had such a great time outside today after a long winter and long rainy April vacation.

I love this shot of the girls. Emma was talking to Lizzy. She looks so calm and angelic.

Those are terrific photos! Your kids are adorable! Your backyard looks similar to mine. I took a few pictures of Miles and Laura this weekend, too. Matthew was camping with the Boy Scouts.

Beth (and someone else who asked...) -- the Howard Johnsons' hotel near DL has some rooms with 2 Queen beds that you can put a rollaway into for a nightly charge of $7.

We stayed on concierge level at the Disneyland Hotel about 6 years ago and it was still a long hike to the park then. I really think this may be as close as that was.

Thanks for the information! Take lots of pictures for me, please, please, please. I have just barely started looking at Disneyland hotels. We (or at least I) are planning for July 2008. I still want to drive out there. Dh seems to need some more convincing...

Elizabeth, I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I have an extra of the Pirate lanyards that Target was selling. You can have it if you want it.

Thanks, Beth! I bought a bunch of the Target ones. I put DS's pirate pins on one, but for me the Target one is too short and not strong enough fabric. The pins I bought for my pirate collection are pretty heavy, so I really want a park lanyard. But you might be able to sell your extra one on eBay! The maroon one I saw on eBay is a park lanyard. It might be new, because I have not seen that design on eBay before.

Robyn - Good luck with your new charge! It is only until the end of the school year? That might not be too bad. What is he going to do over the summer? I told DS to think about what he wants to do over the summer if I end up starting a job with a baby. Right now he is only enrolled in one week of camp because I was going to have a ton of down time. Of course I could still end up staying with Brother & Sister for awhile if the new family doesn't make an offer, so we'll see.

No big plans for me today. I have to take DS to school in a minute, then I guess I will TRY to get the rest of that laundry finished!

That was a terrific one, Deb! I just realized that I have no idea when we are going back. If we do what I want to next year, we won't be able to go until at least 2010. Matthew will be in college then. I wish that I could rewind about 8 years sometimes...

I agree! The only problem is that once I am on that vacation I end up counting down the days until it is over. In the planning stages there is none of that... only anticipation!

That's just like me! Though even as the trip gets close, I'll start to think "in X days it will all be over."

I can't wait to hear all about your trip! But I don't want it to come (or be over) too fast. Enjoy the anticipation!
